  1. But yes, one of the main things in this project is that we wanted to keep it as open as possible. So ALL systems are done in XML, hundreds of thousands of lines of XML (and no this has no impact on speed) and you can tweak everything as long as you understand XML code and are willing to spend hours on debugging (debugging XML is hell).

So in this particular example, "IF" I could find the specific line in the XML file, it would be as simple as changing the red/yellow/blue values using a text file editor?

    Thanks,

  2. Mathijs,

    The cockpit is breathtaking!

I have one question. I've noticed a number of times it's been mentioned in the old threads that the gauges are written in such a manner that a certain amount of user customization may be possible.

Would this mean that we would be able to tweak certain elements to our own tastes? For example, would I be able to tweak the colour of the ISIS. It seems to me that in many flightdeck photos I have seen, the ground colour appears to be very dark when compared to that of the PFD (in some shots it appears almost black). I know this is subjective and that others may not agree with my interpretation, so could I customize the colours of that particular gauge to suit my own tastes?

    Thanks,

    Dave

  3. It seems pretty certain we'll do a more advanced version of the MCDU systems this summer. It will only be marketed as a low cost "add-in to the add-on", think 10 euro or so. We still do not expect a lot from it but it seems a bit of a waste not to add advanced systems to an aircraft that looks so good as this one. Sometimes you got to think with your heart and not spreadsheets.

    Mathijs,

I would have bought this bus anyway, but the fact that you are going to make the upgrade helps me to forget the "other guy's" project which is moving at a very slow pace, perhaps never making it to FSX. I think that when more people waiting over there get a look at your advanced version, you'll get more customers than you thought. I know that I am one of the converted.

  4. Today we closed the development of the external model and the VC (and yes I will do some videos now). I think you agree the model now looks pretty good.

    Mathjis,

Somewhat OT - Not sure if you have seen this EZdok Motion Camera software yet (sorry, I know it's not an Aerosoft product), but it would sure be nice for making some videos to show off your new A320/321.

  5. I can say however that we started discussing an update that will tune the aircraft for the users who like a deeper level of system realism. Things like full vertical navigation, SIDs/STARs and the deeper details that make a CFM and IAE model different. It's a small market, but we think we can just do it without loosing money on it.

Well, you can count on me to help you with the bottom line on such an update - That's great news! boingy_s.gif

  6. Work on the A320 is well underway at this moment. And it looks good. I personally never liked the A321, the A320 is much better proportioned.

I was delighted when you decided to do the A320 as well as the A321. It looks fantastic so far and will be my ride of choice. I can't wait to see some paint on it!

  7. Hi,

I must say that I have been following the "other" Airbus project for quite some time, but have recently come to the conclusion that it will not see the light of day in FSX for a very long time (if ever). That prompted me to have a look over here at this project, even though I had not been taking it seriously due to the fact it was being marketed as a lighter version of the A320. After reading this thread from start to finsh and seeing the way that the Aerosoft Bus has developed through the months, I must say that it looks more complex than I expected (probably more complex than the developers had intended when the project was announced).

The aircraft model looks superb and quite frankly, the systems look in-depth enough to provide immersion without having to spend a week trying to figure out how to get the thing off the runway.

I am officially sold on this Bus and look forward to seeing some previews of the A320 model.
