Hi there
just wanted to let everyone know that I am back, after a couple of months off this forum...
You guys can expect the repaints that i was making, to be finished and uploaded in the coming days/weeks.....

If you have any problems, or see any errors with any of my repaints, or any ideas please post them there (i might not see every post on this forum, but i will check there for every ticket)

do you suggest i reinstall the video drivers? If yes, should i install the Stock lenovo drivers, or Forceware?
EDIT- I tried turning the Aniostropic Filtering on, and the fps stay relatively the same. AA however (from the Check box in fsx) knocks fsx out. it refuses to run in full screen mode on either screen, and i get 2-3FPS in windowed mode. Turning AA off seems to fix the Full Screen problem...

and besides; even if aerosoft were to make LAX, you could bet it would be FSX only....

i have AA off on the 1400x1050 screen already.... with it on i get <10FPS on the 747X

hi there....
My main screen on my Thinkpad T61P (14 inch - 1400x1050) started getting these black spots in the corner (which according to lenovo's customer care is damage, and is the liquid leaking). So we ended up getting this 22 inch screen http://www.lg.com/in/computer-products/lcd-monitor/LG-W2243T.jsp . Its native Resolution is 1920x1080.
I tried using it yesterday for a hour and two, and its cool... but i figured out today tat fsx might have problems...
as it is i get <20fps with normal scenery in the pmdg 747 on the 1400x1050... i wonder how my GPU will handle 1920x1080.... Any Tips?

the Ariane B737 package is also supposedly really good.
But as i have heard their protection schemes (and the plane to some level) is EXTREMELY sucky....

and what Aerosoft is reporting is skewed in FSX's favor to say the least... Reminds me of a great quote, "Who cares what anyone thinks? It's what you know that interests" and I know FS9 add-ons are selling more than some are admitting. Now if we are talking GA then FSX sales may surpass FS9 but for Heavy airplanes/scenery it's either neck and neck or FS9 sales beats out FSX's.
That is the most idiotic thing i have ready so far... If Aerosoft (a COMPANY) would be making a lot more money by developing for fs9 (which you say "sells way more"), why would they stop? why would they skew numbers in a manner that would supposedly "make them lose money"

hi there
a couple of months ago my Lenovo Thinkpad T61P (specs at the end of this post) used to handle FSX pretty well. I used to get >20FPS in the VC of the PMDG 747 in any Medium sized airport with around >50% with MyTafficX and all settings at medium WITH AA.
Due to some Hardrive problems i had to re-install FSX & Acceleration.
Currently I have Vanilla FSX (same windows 7 - NOT reinstalled) with the PMDG 747, and the Airbus X installed. and thats it
as it is, a couple of days ago i was getting around 25-26 FPS in external views at SMALL airports with settings on low (not lowest) and 15 in the VC.
so yesterday i installed MyTraffic and the FPS go waay down....
Right now I have ALL Settings on the COMPLETE Left (everything lowest), NO AA, FPS Locked to 27 (as always), and even with the Traffic at 0% (yes = no typo = zero) i get 13 FPS in the same airport in the external view, and 2-3 FPS in the VC....
And since i'm trying to do a RTW, its getting frustrating...
any help?

btw i was using realtime weather, and there were 20 knot crosswinds
Takeoff was Manual, COMPLETE Cruise was taken care of by VNAV and LNAV, and The Beginning of the landing was a standard ILS CATIII Approach, and Finals were Manual (last 10 miles)
Cruising Altitudes were FL380, FL360, and Finally FL240
