  1. RzAxis is the rudder! Royce, There are a few user who reported the saitek X52 throttle axis can not be detected even in other simulators. Does your throttle work with the default 737 or 747?

    Regards,

    Joshua Che.

  2. HeyJoshua, first thank you very much for your work. After enjoing your FBW I wanted to install also your fonts for the glass screens. Unfortunately it was not possible. The font is existing after install in windows/fonts. When I open for example ND.xml I find the font "glass gauge" inside the code. But when i load AirbusX nearly all text in ND is missing. I operate Win7 64bit, German version. All installs were made as administrator. Maybe you can give me a hint what to do. By the way, somebody asked you to stop the engines accelerating to full thrust during startup. I found out that they do not when starting with fsx automatic engine startup button but then the cabin temperature falls into minus degrees during flight. Maybe that can give you an idea for any workaround. Again thank you very much for making this beautiful product more enjoyable. Holger

The font installer open windows/fonts so that windows will recognize a new font is installed. This is a very crude way of installing but still... it works.

Has your PFD font changed? The ND font there are some font that i kept the default for visibilty reasons. A picture of your displays now would be good.

    Regards,

    Joshua Che.

  3. Can you tell something about the need of a registered FSUIPC, do i need it to use the new version of alternative FBW? Or do i need it only to have some of the new features?

    Good question.

FBW v0.9 will require registered FSUIPC to use it. I use FSUIPC to help output the joystick axis to my FBW code. Without registered FSUIPC, You can't assign your joystick Axis to output. If I don't use FSUIPC, I have to program my own C++ gauge like the Aerosoft's AS_FADEC(throtles) which I do not know how to program.

FBW v0.9 is almost completely rewritten hence you will need FSUIPC for it to work. I will keep legacy versions online but my aim is true realistic FBW

    .

    Thanks for your interest.

    Regards,

    Joshua Che.

  4. Here. In FSX controls, there isn't an axis selected for throttle, i think that the throttle is working only with FSUIPC, I also tried the FSUIPC thing but no results.

Am I right to say the slider is throttle? Try in Aerosft launcher assign slider of Saitek X52 Flight Control System assign to AXIS_THROTTLE.

    Regards,

    Joshua Che.

  5. Thanks Joshua, pretty amazing. I installed your latest update but now my spoilers don''t show going up when I select them or during auto spoilers. It's only cosmetic, because I do see the airplane slowing down, I just can't see them going up Thanks for all your efforts, The Airbus is flying a lot better

Did you install LH1711 callouts? If yes just install my FBW patcher agian to fix it.

    Regards,

    Joshua Che.

  6. UPDATE: New FBW v0.9 coming not so soon ! :dumb_me_s:

Number change = new features !

    Expected changelog:

    TRUE FBW SIMULATION such as:

Accurate Gload Simulation. ( Stick pull up/down = Gload command)

Accurate Roll rate Simulation. ( Stick left/right = Command Roll Rate)

    Stall Protection (AoA protection)

    Minimum Requirements:

JOYSTICK AND REGISTRED FSUIPC (no exceptions).

Early stages! Very Beta. Sneak preview soon.

    Regards,

    Joshua Che.

  7. Ok, thanks well I did but now the throttle move with Z axis but it goes back to idle like in less than 1 second...

Did you leave your throttle at idle before starting FSX? Check your throttle is fully calibrated and at idle.

Make sure you only have one axis assign to throttle axis.

    Also,

Have you replaced AS_FADEC with the one there? if yes,

    • Remove C:\AS_FADEC.txt before loading the Airbus X (if it exists)
    • Run FSX and select the Airbus X A320 CFM or the aircraft you installed it on.
    • Quit FSX
    • Attach them to a reply here
    • C:\AS_FADEC.txt
    • C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\Controls\Standard.xml

This will make it easier to diagnose the problem.

    Regards,

    Joshua Che.

  8. Thank you, can you please tell me where the file is supposed to be? :)

    • copy the files to: FSXMainFolder\SimObjects\Airplanes\Aerosoft Airbus X A320 CFM\Panel (or to the panel folder of the aircraft you like to try).

    Read the instructions.

BTW, if you can't use the aerosoft launcher, you can asign your controls in FSX settings, control and change the axis assignment throttle axis.

    Regards,

    Joshua Che.

  9. Okay, for all those people who got problems with the throttle, try this and send the resulting log files so we can see at what point there is a problem to support@aerosoft.com.
    • copy the files to: FSXMainFolder\SimObjects\Airplanes\Aerosoft Airbus X A320 CFM\Panel (or to the panel folder of the aircraft you like to try).
    • Remove C:\AS_FADEC.txt before loading the Airbus X (if it exists)
    • Run FSX and select the Airbus X A320 CFM
    • Quit FSX
    • Send us the following files (attach them to a reply here)
    • C:\AS_FADEC.txt
    • C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\Controls\Standard.xml

Best zip them before sending. With this information it should be easy for us to solve the issue.

    AS_FADEC_log.zip

Download this AS_Fadec. For me, once i downloaded the file and replace my AS_FADEC and it worked. However, if it did not work, post your log files there http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php/topic/39275-throttle-issue-please-only-here/ and be more polite.

  10. Hey Joshua, does this already include "full" first officers displays?

if you mean the copilot side of the displays have all the captain PFD features like (high refresh rate, full indicators)? No. However, It can be done easily i think but It will decrease FPS greatly.

If you mean the copilot side of the displays have the new fonts yes.

    Regards,

    Joshua Che.

    Introduction:

I did not like the Displays in the Airbus X. Hence, I started this mini project and now is ready for public beta.

I have picked up from my computer a old font and modified it.

    Only Font modifications though.

This modification is in no way related to aerosoft and its for your own personal use.

    WARNINGS:

    BACKUP FIRST

FSX MUST BE CLOSED WHEN INSTALLING

    Restart After Font Installation

    Installation:

Run the appropriate .exe patcher that will patch your files. There are five patchers.

    Install the font patcher first.

Recommend to install one patcher first and test out then apply all.

  13. 0.8e. It has no dead zone on Y axis, when I put joystick "forward" it immediately turns off the autopilot, other axis them to be ok. version 0.8c3 is ok too

    1. I did not replace the file AP1DISP that contains the locgic for disconnect of autopilot.

    2. DEMO VIDEO:

    3. Check Your joystick sensitivity settings. Try decreasing sensitivity by one if its too sensitive.

    4. Did not make any AP related changes from 8c3 to the current ver. You can check my changelog.

    Thanks for feedback

  14. Hi I am new to the Aerosoft Forums and want to ask if there is a way to make all the spoilers work when the three FADEC buttons are switched off. I like to land the airbus with FADEC off and when doing it this way the centre wing spoilers don't work. I know this is to stop the aircraft handling like a eurofighter in the "AIR", but when you want to descend quickly in to a tricky airport, or stop quickly on a short runway, this does not help!! HELP!, because i just overshot at london city!

You can try my alternative to aerosoft FBW here:

    http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php/topic/46910-my-alternative-to-aerosoft-fbw-v08d/

    About the overshooting problem,

I agree with Piper Pilot about landing at LCY if you are trying to land there.

    Regards,

    Joshua Che.

  15. Something to improve: few days ago I had the possibiliy for a flight on the jumpseat. While Approach the Pilot disconnected the AP very early and i was watching his movements on the stick. He was only moving it a bit and then he left the stick in neutrak position (now it comes: Aircraft holds every angle). Today I made a flight and tried to disconnect earlier then usual, and when I left the stick in neutral position the aircraft was still moving around on heading and vertical speed. if you could get this in you FBW I would just fly A321 ;D Give the aircraft a stable look ;D in handling of course ;D

Sorry I took so long to reply to this. My FBW is very sensitive to stick movements. I tried what you said and had no moving on heading and pitch. If you say vertical speed, the FBW holds PITCH as in real life but does not hold v/s. If the airbus is not stablised after neutral, chances are your joystick do not have enough null zone.

EDIT: I think i will tighten auto-trim & bank angle holder so that it will hold pitch and bank better. As always, thanks for feedback.

    Regards,

    Joshua Che.
