  1. So guys, i got GSX. Its fantastic. But heres the thing- It doesnt have certain animations that AES has. For vehicals i mean. STEERING WHEEL function. Otherwise, i like AES better. After all, GSX is worth about 3 AES codes worth in price. And i probley bought 20 codes or more worth over the last 4 years. Keep up the great work Oliver!

  2. Hi Guys. I love FS Maps. Infact i just bought it an hour ago before i posted this. I got a question. Is there a possiblility of getting satilite imagery into this program? Say like Google earth style?

  3. Hey oliver. Great work. I cant wait for AES NG. Now i have a question to ask. Is there a possibility to add a "ground power unit"? Its basically a box with an engine or generator in it that provides power to the aircraft. Its usally on the right side (nav green side) of the aircraft placed by the nose gear (or up by the AES marshel when hes standing over there).

  4. Hi guys. I just bought the scenery. Its updated quite abit from what ive seen on youtube. I fell through at the "U-turn" part of runway 23 after landing on the opisite side. It was fusterating because i just did a long flight with a 747-451 from Portland Oregon. Is there a way to get rid of the problem so i can do a "U-turn" with my 747 like i do at FlyTampa's TNCM?

  5. Hi guys. Im haveing a bit of a problem. I get a gray area on the water. I use REX and i DID BUY THE SCENERY. Here is proof:

Date Ordered: Saturday 16 July, 2011

Heres screenshots of the problem im talking about:

Is there anyway to get rid of it? I do have the scenery and landclass active.

  6. I works great! Im just annoyed by the fact that AES still uses cargo palets for the Boeing 757. I cant wait until AES NG is released. Im going to stick with AES for FS9 but im sad to announce that im going to switch to FS Dream Team's GSX for FSX here in 5 months simple because i want support with the default Minneapolis in FSX. Im not going to use Blueprint for FSX when i will switch to it. Il be happy if you guys make it for FSX but since some of the addons i have are only for FS2004, i have to drop them so thats why im switching to GSX.

Still Oliver, keep up the great work along with the staff of Aerosoft!!! :excellenttext_s:

  7. - First install all addon on the new PC

    - Then make two backups of the AES Subdirectory structure below <FS9>\Aerosoft and <FSX>\Aerosoft from the old computer

    - Recreate the Aerosoft Folder (if not done by a other addon) below <FS9> and <FSX> on the new computer

    - Restore the related AES Directory there

    - Run once the newest AES Installer for each FS Version on the new PC

Then all the settings, configs and credits are transferred to the new PC

When you install the FS Version on the new PC, try not to use the default installation directory below C:\Program files, use a different location like C:\FS9 or D:\FS9, so that you don't get in trouble with the UAC on Win 7

Ok. Thanks oliver. I am pretty familair with Windows 7 though. There is ways i can turn off UAC on certian folders. Right now i have Windows Vista Home premium 64 bit and the folder i have turned UAC off is my Flgiht Simulator 9 folder since im always editing and adding and whatnot. Il just follow your instructions for now though when i get the computer. Thanks!

  8. Sorry, but maybe it is only related to your personal focus of Airports.

AES supports 350 Airports in 5 year, so that are 70 a year, in the last 12 Month 75 Airports was added to AES, that is more then the average.

And, beside this we had done a big step forward with Version 2.20 in the basecode too.

And that some airports could not be delivered 5 minutes after they are released by the developers is based on the situation, that only in some less cases I get the airports before the release, mostly I need to wait for a first fix before I can start.

btw: KLAX is done and now I am working at KMIA, some days was needed to prepare the jetways I got, now I have over 250 gatepositions to prepare, that needs time.

LOL Kinda sounds like your annoyed with them. I love your work! Man. You always keep all the AES customers (except PIRATES-sutpid people) on the edge of our seats! I just cant wait for AES NG though. I also cant wait to switch to FSX on my new computer that il be getting in about 4.5 months. I have a question that il start a new thread about though.

  9. Just remember it must be the K version of cpu if you wish to overclock, as overclocking is your best FPS friend.

Here is another cheaper config but the same rig... Cyber Power doesnt have the Intel I7 2700K CPU for an option on that rig...

  10. We do have a place for suggestions here, it's called "What if you like to propose a project?"

Well this thread was started before that thread opend up... Thats why. I reposted a request for in in that thread.

  11. If you want to spend some more money in a graphic card, you can get the gtx 580, but this card won't be better in FSX than the 560gtx. Well it's your computer, but I think 16 RAM is a bit too much...? Maybe 8, 12 would do it too?

I have read in a serious computer magazine that some new Intel CPU's are coming in early 2012, you say you wanna buy in 5 months, so let's see...

If those coming CPU's are not better than the 2600k, you can also consider getting the Intel Core 3960, a sixcore CPU and - as far as I know - the fastest CPU for "normal" consumers. (won't improve the FSX perfomance and costs about 1000€).

Here is a config of what i would use... I dont know if that video card is water cooling capable... Its new also. Personally i prefer ATI rather than GeForce and Nividia. Thats just beacause i am using one now...

  12. It has been shown many times it decreases FPS (though it might increase quality marginally). But I got the idea that our friend nickac1092 cares more for specs then flight sims. I use FSX professionally and I always said that anything over $1000 is a total waste of money. Even with the price of big SSD's this is still true.

I actually didnt buy it yet. Thats just a config i built on cyberpower PC. I need maxium performance for FSX so no il drop ATI and go with Nividia. I am 5 months, infact, from buying a new computer for FSX. I have a budget of $3,000 USD. I like that you guys are helping me out alot so yea... The case no matter what will be that awesome Cooler Master HAF-X. I will go with a 60-62GB SSD just for Windows 7 Professional because Home doesnt read 16GB RAM. When i first started out, i wanted a rediculious amount of RAM and a fast Intel I7 CPU. If i can get more performance with just 1 video card then 2, that will save me some money but aslo add to my entertainment. I rather go with a HDD for all my games even though i might loss a second or so but who cares. I fill up my HDD quick on the computer in my signiture (the one i am running FS9 on maxed out on, and the only one i have) and its a 3.5" 700GB Seagate HDD. My FS9 folder alone is 120GBs. I got and 1200 aircraft, several addons, and alot of regristry that goes with it. I like liquid cooling because its more efficent and it cools the hardware faster. I will still have alot of fans just for cooling other things but i would like to keep the tempature down more than on my current PC which on average stays around a temp of 50-60C (including my graphics card- average temp 60-65C). I just want an SSD only for the OS and a HDD for everything else. Yes i do play FPS games (first person shooter) and 3rdPS (3rd person shooter) and examples are Halo 2, and Grand Theft Auto 4. Speaking of liquid cooling im trying to find out if i can get a graphics card that can be water cooled... I know Nividia has these cards now... Il get them. AGAIN, I AM 5 MONTHS AWAY FROM BUYING THIS MACHINE SO I NEED YOUR HELP AND DO MY OWN RESEARCH TOO. :big_boss_s:

  13. Well just so you know, Im going with an Intel I7 3.4GHz or more... Im going to get 16GB ram, 2x ATI 6950 2GB onboard ram, 1000 watt power, liquid cooling, and the Cooler Master HAF-X tower case. Im going to have all the fans including a HDD cooling fan. For the boot drive, im going with a 32GB kingstone SSD. The data HDD that will have FSX and FS9 on it will be a SATA 2TB 3.5" 7,200RPM HDD. Along with the amount of Power i need im getting a 1200 watt UPC (uniteruptible power suppy). Again i have a budget of $3 grand and no more. I saw that i might not get 50+ frames at places with alot of traffic and airports like New York City JFK and LGA... I now want to know if i can keep it above 28-30FPS...

Final configeeration i build yesterday, was $2345.00

  14. Hi guys. Im getting a new computer here in about 5 months. Its the CyberPowerPC Gamer Infinity 8800 Pro. By the time i finished customising it, the final price tag is $2663.00 USD. Now, Im planning to keep FS9 and everthing on my current computer in my signiture, i just want to know if there is a way to have AES with all my crdits on both computers at the same time. Im planning to move my Gateway FX6000 to my dad's house and have the new computer im looking at here at my moms. If there isnt a way, im sad to say that i will switch to FS DreamTeam GSX just for the new computer but still stay with AES for FS9. Im sick of not having full funtionality with scenery and ground service and no taxi bridges over freeways... Thats why im switching.

Here is a video review im looking at of the computer im looking at...

I am going to get liquid cooling...

  15. Hello all! I hope this is the right place for this! I don't wanna get tarred and feathered. I would just like to propose maybe Aerosoft could do KMSP? Minneapolis kind of seems to be overlooked in the flight sim world. It's actually a pretty large airport. As most people know it was the main hub for NWA before the merger with DAL. Now it is Delta's 3rd largest hub. The US's 13th busiest and the worlds 30th busiest..could be pretty awesome. KMSP is also the Minnesota Air National Guard base. I would most certainly buy it. I think quite a few people would buy it, actually. Especially seeing as that there is only one payware KMSP and it is mediocre, at best. KMSP also has the 3rd highest number of nonstop flights per day, per-capita in the US. Just a suggestion!

    Thanks,

    Boatinman

I totally agree!! Thats my home town airport too. I just want AES there instead of Blueprint's ###############. Delta uses Minneapolis as it's most northern hub behind Cinncinatti and Atlanta. It would be nice if you guys could at least take it into consideration. I am going to be switching to FSX soon but i will still fly FS9 just for the fun of it.
