  1. That wasn't a serious suggestion?

    BTW: wrong forum!

Must say I would be very interested in that airport. Have a look at Iran Air: they have soooo many aircraft that nobody else uses. including the last Boeing 747-100 to still be flying. Also they still use the A300B4-200. Having their home airport seems like a pretty good idea to me, and if the OP can provide photographs of all the buildings, I'd be inclined to think "why not". In the end of course, it's only Aerosoft that can predict how many people would buy this. After all, it's not really a mainstream kind of airport.

  2. That's great! Any protection system that will bring us more Italian airports is a great thing.

BTW, I can now also confirm Fiume is in development for 2012... :big_boss_s:

I agree. If the protection system means we get italian airports, then I don't complain!

  3. Well well! After all the talk about npot wanting to do italian sceneries d8ue to piracy, Rome is being done anyway. Glad to hear it! One of few places in Europe Cubana flies to, so I'll probably buy it, and I'd like to support Italian airport scenery development.

  4. What you have to do is select the folder in which the requested data cabinet sits in. These data cabinet files are what would be the "discs".

So, you should have three parts downloaded. Part 1 has data.cab 1 and 4, part 2 has data.cab 2, and part 3 has number 3. Whenever the installer asks for "the disc with datax.cab" (x being 1, 2, 3 or 4), you select the folder in which this .cab file sits.

  5. It shows the complete line-up of Boeing aircraft, progressing from 707 through 717, 727, 737, 747, 757, 767 to 777, so all the planes are in a numerical order from right to left. It's interesting, though, that the 787 isn't present. Old photograph perhaps?

Note that this is no chronological order! The 717 was actually made well after the 727, for instance, being a plane of the nineties.

  6. The Very Singapore is okay, but not great. It's below Manhattan X quality, but does the job just fine for if you just want something to look at while landing at WSSS. I wrote a review about it for simflight, if you're interested.

  7. This problem is linked to youyr other problem, with the gates. Ensure that Aerosoft's GAP2 2012 AFCAD file is present in the relevant folder (whatever that folder is, I have no idea) and has an extension .bgl. Form the gates thread you posted, it seems that the Aerosoft supplied AFCAD has an extension .off, meaning it's not recognized as a bgl file and as such isn't used when the sim is started.

Effectively, what you are seeing/using now is the default FSX EDDP AFCAD.

  8. What a nice idea that actually is! I have recently been looking at VFR London, and I was wondering why a similar thing wasn't done for other countries, Canada being one of those countries I was thinking about. Al;though, Vancouver was already done by FSAddon, so I don't see a need for Aerosoft to also do it...

  9. Just sent in my application.

I think I might have actually been contacted about this initiative already some time ago, but as I was just starting a fulltime job, I had no idea how busy I would be. It turns out I might have more free time to work on reviews than I previously thought, hence I'm applying now anyway. But, december is always very busy. I can well imagine that I'll have more spare time as the new year starts.

Hope I'm not too late and that not all positions are filled...
