  1. Hi Dave Well I have found the problem .... It's the ASC.dll. delete that and everything is fine and dandy , trouble is you loose the cockpit sounds , and other than randomly trying other ASC.dll's of other aerosoft aircraft I have no idea on how to fix it . BTW the models grouped rather than as individuals is the way to go otherwise texture fallbacks don't work. Dave
  2. Hi Dave I did a test with a single aircraft and it worked a charm! If your code is verbatim can you use \ in a folder title ? In the Prepare3D v4 Add-ons folder I created "Horten" folder. In that a "SimObjects" folder and add-on.xml ....... <SimBase.Document Type="AddOnXml" version="4,0" id="add-on"> <AddOn.Name>Horten</AddOn.Name> <AddOn.Description>Horten glider</AddOn.Description> <AddOn.Component> <Category>SimObjects</Category> <Path>SimObjects</Path> </AddOn.Component> </SimBase.Document> In the "SimObjects" folder goes the "Horten HoIVa" aircraft folder. I ignored the Sound and Effects but your entries look right. maybe it might be best to ignore the "Aerosoft Lightnings" folder and enter them as individual aircraft? In which case just copy the sounds and effects into each sim. In the p3dv4 & v5 add-ons.cfgs I added the entry.... [Package.N] PATH=C:\Users\UKGC\Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\Horten ACTIVE=true REQUIRED=false Cheers Dave
  3. Hi Dave I might have a go myself , I gather you put the aircraft into the Prepare3Dv4 (or 5) Add-ons folder .... in a new Aircrafts folder or individually ? Then how do you link to the sims to the aircraft , via an entry in the add-ons.cfg ? D
  4. Hi Dave No I'm not surprised , :0) , Seen 'em all . there are some of my dodgy animation codes that throw up an error ... (even though they still work ) , and every single Tackpack code , the error reporter sees (>C: etc. as an error ) For the T5\Panel error simply delete the line " file=speed_back.bmp " fx_lit_missile_R.fx fx_lit_missile_L.fx fx_lit3_sonicboom.fx Not sure why its looking for the mk6 ventral on the t5, if you want grab it from the T55 and drop it into the t5 common. , but these are not errors that would cause your CTD's ( (all worked on my machine and yours ! P.S. I have corrected all the XML errors , but I would need to re-export all the models and Aerosoft would then have to repackage everything . If I can ever get It all PBR'd maybe that would happen ) It actually isn't as bad as it looks , the same errors recycle time after time . I have actually managed to get a clear error reporting sheet ( but I had to take out all the tackpac folders and references, not sure how I can hide them )) Cheers D

  9. Hi Dave Well they do work in P3dv5, Have you tried them in the P3dv5 aircrafts folder ? What is the advantage of using the shared folder ? I have found that V5 crashes with the slightest error , if it looks for something that isn't there it crashes. D
  10. The fx_ fire add might just be something I tried but never used but Fx_Lit RH gives movement to the flame fx_litRH.bmp D

  12. Hi Dave Yes that might not be a bad idea,( assuming having no prop in the .cfg doesn't prevent it) , The tricky part is getting the diamonds to physically dilate (they don't just move in and out , they shrink at the same time.) Sure , FSX and P3d. D
  13. Hi Dave It so happens , I started back into it just yesterday ! Hold up is the PAS gunsight , I have to figure a way to implement and control the ranging diamonds , It's a twistgrip on the No1 throttle on the real thing. Dave
  14. Hi Rainero I am working on converting the Lightnings to PBR textures , so when that is completed I imagine they will get a new installer . All the Lightning marks are fully functional in P3d5 however as they are. Cheers Dave R

  16. Hi Dave Is it snowing ?..... grass looks a bit pale .. which will make everything else darker . what settings are you using , playing around with the saturation and brightness might help . No major problems with the Lightnings although the transparencies are a bit foggy and the night lighting is a bit dim . Am wrestling with converting them to PBR , and upgrading them all to the F53 spec. Cheers Dave

Hi Andy In my opinion PBR in P3d v4+ was flawed at least for metal finishes , I preferred the standard metal finish , and as the conversion is simple enough ( but tedious as I would have to do all the aircraft ) , I made the tutorial so people could have a go themselves. However P3d V5 has much better PBR rendering so I'm looking to get them set up for that . All the Lightnings do work well in V5 , and can be ported straight over . There is a minor issue with the Perspex transparency looking foggy ( easy fix ) and yet again the reheat fx has altered …. par for the course really :0) LM just like to keep me busy. Cheers Dave

  19. try the original non PBR version http://www.aerosoft2.de/downloads/AS_MITCHELL-WING-U2_V101.exe I made changes because there was some shading problems on transparencies in P3d V4, but they are not evident in P3d V5 Cheers DR
  20. Hi flapper That can't be it ! even with only one engine running you should easily be able to cruise past 330 knots .. when the flaps automatically retract ! Dave R

  23. Hi WarHorse Yes , the keys.xml in the panel / Lit_tac folder for each model and its instigator in the panel.cfg is all that's required . You can of course change the keystrokes to suit yourself. Dave
  24. Hi Peter I've put the F2/2A onto a back burner . My intention was to release it grouped with an updated F3 , but with the advent of PBR textures in P3d that would involve just too much work , especially as the PBR polished metal textures don't look quite right , and I suspect LM will be making changes ( at least I hope so) Dave
  25. Hi Peter I have had the same thoughts myself , I think I'm capable of modelling and texturing the buildings etc , but I couldn't get to grips with using ADE to construct the airfield . I'm all for a better Binbrook though . Dave
