  1. Absolutely. I imagine the NDAs are quite prohibitive. I've seen mention of the SDK that will be released to developers, and of course that leads my thoughts to Aerosoft's aircraft range, and what might be ported over to FS2020. I'm not going to turn this into another 'wish list' thread, but I have my fingers crossed for certain possibilities. I'm rather excited about what we are seeing in FS2020, and if the add-on industry has full access to the sim, then the golden years of flight simulation are about to begin. Merry Christmas to you and all at Aerosoft.
  2. Aerosoft's interest in this new sim is very encouraging. Great to hear - please keep us informed, Mathijs.
  3. It is a matter of record that Aerosoft likes unusual aircraft. So, after giving us some odd looking aircraft ( Wilga ), a flying boat ( Catalina ) and a couple of turbo-props ( Bronco and Twin Otter...making four turbo-props in total ), this is your destiny...the ShinMaywa US-2. Please?
  4. Okay Mathijs, thanks for that. I hope you'll consider updating the H-1 for Prepared v4 at some point in the future, because it's an aircraft that's quite different from most others. By the way, I hope Mr. Diekmann enjoyed his visit to Cosford yesterday. He certainly looked very busy talking to people and taking payments at the Aerosoft stand. It was a good show.
  5. Mathijs, may I ask if the check was made, and if the H-1 is/will be compatible with P3D V4 ? Thanks
  6. Flavio, Mathijs...thank you very much for your responses. If the H-1 works ( or can be made to work ), I think my P3Dv4-compatibility wish list will be very close to completion. I shall await further news in due course. Thanks again.
  7. The title says it all. The H-1 works perfectly in P3Dv3, and it's a favourite aircraft of mine, so I was wondering whether it works in P3Dv4. I know there's some special coding to do with engine failures, and I suspect that might not work in 64-bit - am I right ? Any info would be welcome.
  8. Any and all Asian airlines please, and especially Singapore Airlines.
  9. Sorry about the 'gunpowder explosion' clouds. I've since installed REX.
  10. Just two from me. I'm slowly building up P3D 2.2 with my FSX add-ons..
  11. You have to be kidding , surely.. RIP Neil.
  12. Will do, Eric Thanks for reminding me about Nvidia Inspector...with all the deleting of v1.3, downloading and installing v1.4,, then getting REX Essentials sorted out..I had forgotten about Inspector! Thats the next thing to work with.
  13. Eric, I have Nvidia Inspector, and used it with that old long-gone sim...let me think...what was the name of it..ah yes, I remember now...FSX! I have yet to use it with P3D, but are you saying that the settings for FSX are good for P3D ?
  14. Installed v1.4 this afternoon, did the REX Essentials thing with textures and also installed this frame rate limiter; http://janvaane.org/prepar3d/?p=96 There are slight problems with Orbx scenery and v1.4 at the moment. They can be worked round, but I'll wait till the new migrator tool is released.
  15. Have you tried their website ? http://www.flytampa.org/
  16. Thanks Joe. I'll wait till the rush on the servers dies down a little.
  17. No image showing there Matt - just a little rectangle with 'Posted Image' text in it. BTW, saw an L1011 at Cambridge airport about three weeks ago, stripped to bare metal with its engines running; an RAF TriStar, obviously, getting some TLC from Marshall Aerospace. How I wish I'd had a camera
  18. No I said because its Lockheed Martin. Think...Lockheed...Electra, P-38, Sarfighter, U-2, SR-71..P3D Martin...Marauder, Maryland..Martin Mars..P3D Microsoft...erm...Minesweeper, Flight..
  19. Ah okay Mathijs, well, time will tell. In the meanwhile, there is v1.4 to download. Yes, the complete re-download and installation come every new version is going to be a pain, but what I am seeing in P3D makes such effort worthwhile. Very pleased and very optimistic for our civilian flight simming future!
  20. Matt, there is a kind of kudos to flying a flight simulator by Lockheed Martin, no ? Lockheed...Martin...gawd, think of all those famous aircraft! Boerries, no worries! You are right, and I'm not doing anything more until 1.4 is installed. Luckily, Orbx's FTX scenery migration tool makes the transfer easy ( though the original files remain in FSX, and must stay there ) and Rex Essentials requires a $4.99 P3D license fee, after which, Rex Essentials works perfectly with the new sim. I've done nothing else as far as transferring FSX add-ons, and will wait till the new version is installed.
  21. From last weekend, when I finally bought P3D v1.3; the default Maule, which FSX fliers will be familiar with, over some Orbx FTX Australia countryside. I've stopped any further transferring of files as v1.4 is out in a few days, and I'll start again with Orbx's migration tool. Downtown Melbourne off to the far right;- The teeming suburbs. You can smell the barbie smoke even up here;- Heading towards the mountains;- Closer still;- Into the red heart of Oz, and Orbx's YBAS Alice Springs add on, which gives you the airport and the town;-
  22. Yes, but isn't DX11 going to leave a lot of current add-ons unusable ? I believe Sharrow ( Konrad ) said this a good while back.
  23. Not so thrilled that its a complete reinstall, but at least its development and we haven't had that for many years. Two new planes sweeten the pill, too. Thanks for the news, Matt.
  24. I'm sure ACG will make whatever tweaks are necessary to Duxford to make it blend in nicely with FTX England. However, as for VFR London, Horizon Simulation's phone seems to be is off the hook at the moment...
  25. Oh I will ! This whole process is going to take a while, very much one step at a time. In fact it may be some time before I get round to Hong Kong, because initially what I would like to do is get used to P3D, then get Orbx FTX England, which allegedly is due out before the year's end, then add in things like ACG's Duxford, Dave Garwoods Auster and Rapide, and Anthony Lynch's Tiger Moth. Then will come VFR London and some of the Aerosoft planes, followed by FTX Australia and Pacific North West. Its going to be a major exercise, but worth it I think.
