  1. Yes, so if Simple Traffic is able to populate the world with airliners that look like they belong there, without a custom traffic system, install and forget, as the product emphasis, maybe it could utilise the models from FS Traffic instead of the Simple Traffic liveries for the default AI-plane(s)? Just a thought, and I would guess most of the development cost of Simple Traffic is the production of liveries that would not be needed for such a use case? Maybe it has no commercial interest for Aerosoft, but just a thought... if it could work.

    We have zero doubt that this airport will sell very well. Just look at the screenshots. While the OrbX version looks great, I think Jo adds another layer of detail.

    I very well understand that you need to make your own airports and have your own portfolio, and some times partnering companies also need to compete. Can't say I enjoyed the move ORBX did when becoming more of a publisher with pretty low quality standards regarding some of their products though.

    I feel Aerosoft is more consistent, but you need to push FranceVFR and FSDG into your Aerosoft One app. :) The ORBX App is one of their strengths. Anyways, sorry for dragging off topic.

    Personally, I'll wait and buy the one that offers the best FPS. After adding some traffic to my sim, my skills at landing in bad weather with strong winds, gusts and turbulence has been greatly hammered by going from smooth 50 to 60 FPS to mid 30 to 40. So not really sure what my solution to this would be, maybe hang around in virtual bars at airport terminals drinking away the memories of the past. I used to be a good pilot.

    ...I often end a flight by going into drone mode and start exploring the airport in the same way I would have been IRL. Doing this and finding the same amazing detail in the interior, watching people walking around inside the terminal etc is actually super cool IMO!

    So again, I do see where you're coming from because I was there myself in the past but with the technology we have available to us today, ...

    I'm actually horrified by reading this, and realise what a big mistake I did by jumping back into this hobby. It also makes the age old question relevant... is technology good for you?

    Don't let Zuckerberg know that someone manage to make a metaverse 'mall' that people actually enjoy to be in.

  4. Hi, a question for Mathijs perhaps;

    I read on the forums to FSTraffic that there is a lot of issues regarding their system for ingesting traffic, although nothing but praise given to the wast highly efficient airplane model library they've built.

    Would it be possible to combine the two products? Maybe you could sell a cheaper version of Simple Traffic without the models for us who would like to combine the packages? Without knowing the inner workings of MSFS traffic system, I would guess that it could be the best solution possible at the moment for offline AI traffic?

    problem is, frequency info for all runways  is empty when airport is loaded, eg in the G3000 with the TBM930. therefore any automatic ILS nav1 frequency selection does not work

    i  have to select nav1 ils frequency manually, then ILS works fine.

    Looking forward to an update. But if you fly any cockpit that use Navigraph data, I don't think this will affect you. On the other hand, the new impressive default aircraft with updated avionics by WT are really impressive, so looking forward to an update.

    @Mathijs Kok

    There have been some talk and some updates regarding this issue in the last couple of months, regarding different airports. Would be great with an official forum post about the issue and what airports are affected. Personally, I would like to learn to fly with the Garmin suited aircraft properly, and knowing that there might be some issues here and there with the scenery put some unnecessary stress/overhead in these limited hobby sessions.

    if you can live with ILS not working then EDDM is ok.

    Is this also a problem if you run Navigraph? Would guess the OP would use Navigraph for his commercial flights.

    Btw: I belive the autor of this airport unfortunately past away, IIRC, so if there are some lack of updated ILS, maybe that's why. It's a nice scenery over all however.

    I mentioned it to exclude any comments relating to freeware.

    Also, please think before using derogatory terms like 'retarded' as some might consider it's use disrespectful and, if you do choose to use this term, at least spell it correctly!

    Oh, tart, don't know how that turd got in there, corrected. Still don't understand the logic. A lot of great freeware out there without a commercial counterpart.

    Its just strange, since my system can do so much more apparently. Do you have any idea what the issue could be (even  if it’s not only Aerosoft related)?

    Do you have any other sceneries activated?

    Have you tried deleting/emptying all other sceneries in the Community Folder, and deleting the content of the "scenery index" folder and deleting all scenery caches from within the simulator options menu, and only run your setup with the 'problematic' add-ons? I mentioned problems with 'Powerlines and Solar Farms' in my previous post as an example, there are a lot of QA issues, even with popular add ons.

    As soon as you add another monitor, you have a massive drop in frames. Despite i9-13900K and a RTX 3080 Ti. Asobo definitely still has some room for improvement here.

    Sounds reasonable that you get a drop in frame rate when doubling the amount of polygon, textures and vertices being turned into pixels. I have a similar setup to yours, and notice that the system is very well balanced between the GPU and the CPU on normal resolution. An extra monitor would probably require an extra GPU to work fluently. Btw, regarding consistent stutters, that is absolutely a problem with the latest builds of the sim when using certain add ons. As an example, I would consider current build and 'Powerlines and Solar Farms' by 'mamu82' as incompatible at this moment, unfotunatly. I certainly hope we'll see some improvements in this area.

    BTW: What about Nvidia SMP? Seems like there was a lot of talk about it 5 years ago, is it still relevant?

    One of the biggest differences between our North Sea project and the Gulf project is that we need to shift way more towards structures and less to ships

    Mathijs, just thinking here. I'm one who never bought the first Northsea product, but for two reasons, firstly it did not cover much of the areas north around Norway, But more importantly, static ships are a very controversial approach. Many seems to shy away from the product due to this. Have you considered making a version/option without static ships, but maybe donate some ships to the 'Global AI Ship Traffic MSFS GAIST Ultra V3'-group and help them getting them moving, either by providing data or dialog with ASOBO/MSFS for improvements in the system. They have 172 000 downloads and are on a mission to improving ship traffic all around the globe. Being a partner/sponsor could probably help gain sales for your ocean products now and in the future from fans of GAIST?

    The idea of not announcing a release date is to generate suspense and buzz so that by the time it is finally released everyone is so hyped up about it they immediately run out and buy it. Good marketing strategy. And, in addition, nobody really knows when it will be released!

    Maybe the idea is to not announce internal deadlines to the public, to avoid getting unhappy nagging customers and bad press when they are missed?

    That's the thing, i am on the edge when it comes to performance for these aircraft, yet the CRJs and PMDG's products run perfectly for me. Just trying to gauge where the 330 will fit among these

    Just curious, do you also run any interior simulator and/or traffic simulator while you have performance problems with these planes?

    So how do you suggest painting a proper tail without a 3D model and Blender Paint? It's absolutely impossible to align a company logo on the vertical stabilizer and the rudder on a PSD file where those parts are somewhere in nowhere.

    Make a livery with numbered checkerboards of the area you are unsure about, watch it in MSFS, do screenshots and paint based on that knowledge...?

    I am sorry but development for FSX stopped in 2017. We gladly do that update if you would pay for it, but there are simply not enough customers.

    Development of nearly all P3D development stopped in 2020.

    Very understandable, as far as I know, Lockheed also stopped development for P3D. However, how are your plans towards X-Plane 12? Is it possible to streamline a process of converting MSFS projects to XP12?
