Hallo zusammen. Gerne möchte ich hier ein paar Bilder des MSFS24 Updates vom Dortmund Airport zeigen. Der Fokus lag dabei auf aktuelle Bodenmarkierungen und der aktuelle Ausbauzustand der Gebäude/Objekte. Zum Thema Bodenmarkierungen, da gab es Große aber auch kleine Änderungen. So zum Beispiel der neu angelegte große Parkplatz gegenüber der Flughafenverwltung. Zunächst wurden die Streifen des Parkplatz in 3dsm als Linien erstellt und anschließend als gltf Datei exportiert. Im Simulator wurde das gltf Modell dann als Projected Mesh platziert: Parkplatzmarkierungen in 3dsm und rechts das Ergbnis im Flugsimulator Der Bereich des General Aviation Terminal, kurz GAT, hat ebenfalls neue Bodenmarkierungen bekommen und zusätzlich wurden, damit es dort nicht zu leer wirkt, animierte Personen und Fahrzeuge platziert: Die kleinen gelben Bodenmarkierungen rechts im Bild sind alles einzelne gltf Dateien, die als Projected Mesh platziert wurden GAT Bereich mit Personen und Fahrzeuge aufgewertet Die Einfahrt zum GAT Bereich wurde neu erstellt: Neu sind: Doppelcontainer, Schranken und das Tor zur Einfahrt. Zusätzlich wurden dort die Bodenmarkierungen neu gesetzt Damit auf dem erhöhten Bereich GA Flugzeuge parken und von dort aus auch starten können, wurde der Bereich nicht wie üblich als 3-D Modell erstellt. Sondern er wurde mittels Terraforming Tool "geformt". Weiterer Vorteil: auf dem "geformten" Terrain können sogenannte Painted Lines (Bodenlinien) gelegt werden: GA Flugverkehr auf dem erhöhten GAT Bereich Die Fluggastbrücken an den Positionen 3&4 wurden angepasst - vor einiger Zeit wurde der vordere Teil demontiert. Wegen des Umbaus und um die Passagiere zu "lenken" wurde ein zusätzlicher, fest installierter Zaun notwendig: Sämtliche Gebäude, SimObjekte, Fahrzeuge Taxischilder usw, haben ein neues MSFS24 LOD System bekommen, wie hier im Beispiel zu sehen: Wegen der massiven Änderungen am Bodenlayout mussten die Routen der Flughafen Fahrzeuge und Sicherheitsleute neu angepasst werden. In diesem Zuge wurde dann auch auf Worldsript umgestellt. Die Routen wurden mit ArcGis Pro neu erstellt bzw angepasst: Aktuelle werden die Gitterzaun-Reihen an den Positionen 0-3 angespasst. Damit werden ein.- und ausreisende Passagiere am Airport "gelenkt": Darüber hinaus gab es noch viele andere und kleinere Änderungen. Was noch fehlt ist der Flughafen BvB Tower und 2 neue Gebäude im östlichen Flughafenbereich.

Hi. Das dürfte die Default Stuttgart Szenerie sein, die den Fehler verursacht. Aber du kannst sie in der Szenerie Bibliothek deaktivieren und dann ist der Fehler auch schon wieder weg :-)

Das neue Jahr ist nun 19 Tage jung und der Start ins neue Jahr beginnt mit einer Ankündigung 🙂 Erstmals in einem Flugsimulator wird es einen neuen Windsack geben, der eine neue Innovation darstellt. Es geht um einen Windsack, der auf Grundlage eines 3DS Max "Cloth-Modifizierers" erstellt wurde: hier ein kurzes Video das die Funktionen und die n euartige Animation zeigt: Dabei flattert der Windsack nach tatsächlichen physikalischen Grundsätzen wie Wind, Materialdichte, Steifheit, Luftwiderstand, Kolissionsfähigkeit, Luftdruck usw. Sicher wird es nicht mehr lange dauern bis er den Weg in eine Szenerie gefunden hat 🙂

Hi Pavel. About two weeks ago, I contacted the press department at Dortmund Airport about the jetways. They confirmed that only the mobile, movable part of the jetway had been removed. The rest of the jetways remained unchanged. The ground markings were also unchanged. Response from the press department: "Ihr 3D-Model entspricht der aktuellen baulichen Situation. Die Fluggastbrücken selbst wurden nicht verändert; lediglich der mobile Teil wurde demontiert und durch eine Glasscheibe ersetzt. Auch bei den Bodenmarkierungen für die Flugzeuge gab es keine Änderungen."

Thank you, that's very kind of you. Have you tried the wind farms off the UK coast? I can't confirm that North Sea works with the SU2. The rectangles worked, by the way; the heliport in Rotterdam is finished, and all that other small stuff, etc.

That was the very first thing I looked at after the SU2. Unfortunately, the SU2 didn't help at all - the bug with the vegetation around the wind turbines is still there (vegetation in the middle of the North Sea)! Believe me, I would love to do an update to MSFS24 today. But with this vegetation bug, it makes absolutely no sense.

That's true and everything is correct as you wrote it. I personally find it a shame that there was still no response to my email. In the end, I respect their decision to ask for the full purchase price again.

You and I are probably the only two who don't agree with that. Yes, that's just bad luck if you ask me. But this has nothing to do with a lack of respect. Each developer can decide for themselves how to sell their sceneries. As a customer, you can then decide for yourself whether to buy or not. In any case, I accept their decision 🙂

Hi. Have you received an answer in the meantime? Unfortunately, I didn't receive a reply to my email to Mailsoft. The email I sent was actually very friendly, which makes it all the more incomprehensible that they didn't pay any attention to it. But it seems as though Flylogic has decided to charge full price for the MSFS24 for the MSFS sceneries that have already been purchased. For me, who likes these very nicely designed sceneries, that's bitter. Because I certainly won't buy the sceneries again for the full purchase price. Here is the email mentioned (translated from German to English): “As a big fan of your flight simulation software, I have bought almost every Flylogic scenery through the Aerosoft Shop. First for FSX, later also for P3D. I had now noticed that there are some MSFS sceneries that are now also available for MSFS24, such as Birrfeld and Samedan. The question is whether, as an existing customer, you now have to buy every single scenery that you have already bought for MSFS again for MSFS24? Thank you in advance for your answer.”

You have to be patient, so you should allow 3-4 days for an answer. Since I'm very interested in the topic for personal reasons, I wrote an email to Flylogic support yesterday. I think a small update fee is okay. After all, the sceneries have to be adapted to MSFS24 in some way 🙂

Hello, I'm also interested in the question, very much so. However, the scenery is not from Aerosoft, but from Flylogic 🙂 As a big fan of Flylogic, I've bought almost every scenery from them and of course I'd like to know if there's a discount for existing customers. But I think the decision will be up to Flylogic, perhaps their developers are reading this and can say something about it.
