What? They have "similar" performance but not nearly the same. And saying those two more engines are just "maintenance engines" and the actual only difference is the fuel is an understatement. The A340 has a higher MTOW, and depending on Airline configuration +100 PAX more. Also the A340, depending on airline pax config etc., has a higher range than the A330. Saying that they are the same is like saying the 757 and the 767 are the same performance wise. While it might have some true aspects, I would rather call it similar than "the same".

I can tell you, pilots are bothered about the fuel temp.. I think there was also a BAW crew who should have in hindsight.

Honestly people here tend to behave as if they bought the a330 a long time ago and aerosoft failed to deliver - which is not the case. So we do not need anything from them. They do not owe anyone anything at this point. Although the communication could be improved about what they are actually going sell. However this will most certainly be done at the release so you will know what you will buy. People should stop being so entitled about a product that hasn‘t been released yet. If they release it and then are being vague about what it can and what not, thats the time to start a riot in this forum and not now.
