  1. Thank you for looking Just Fly...Here is a bit more:- Continuing... On our way again... The other shots can be seen here:- http://forum.mutleyshangar.com/index.php/topic/8436-continuing-alaska-tour/page__gopid__67679#entry67679 Thanks for looking
  2. Here are a few highlights of my continuing tour:- Ketchican the town and port. The Ketchikan SPB is marked here. The other shots can be seen by clicking this address:- http://forum.mutleyshangar.com/index.php/topic/8436-continuing-alaska-tour/ Thanks for looking
  3. Yep...I think so too, but not everyone agrees...Personally, I think they should look at this video. Then they might be convinced
  4. Well, I post here because it is not an Aerosoft product and on Radio Chatter Room it says "Anything Goes"
  5. Beached near Ketchikan, I decided to paddle for a bit...The water was very cold! This is a very short HD video (72 secs) so click the resolution up to 1080p and then click the "Full Screen" icon at bottom right. Turn the sound volume up for the wind! Thanks for looking Thanks for looking
  6. I was visiting a Seaplane Base today and parked on the slip, but it was slippery and the wind blew me back down into the water. I noticed that the reflections looked good in the shallow sandy water so I made this 45 second video of them. This is an HD video so click the resolution up to 1080p and then click the "Full Screen" icon at bottom right. Turn the sound volume up for the wind! Thanks for looking
  7. Here is the Carbon Cub that comes included in the Alaska Pack...I look forward to flying it when it has its Virtual Cockpit, which I believe will shortly be offered for download:- Thanks for looking
  8. Today, I moved from Taku Lodge to Taku Harbour...About a half hour flight. I beached the Icon there and took a few photos of it:- Beached at Taku Harbour which in a well protected inlet. The exit from the harbour is to the left of this picture. The rest of these shots are devoted to my favourite Icon. Note the "Sawtooth" leading edge...Exactly like the later marks of Hunter. Note also the many differing shapes of the pine trees. The tail design. The propeller follows the modern fashion of having the most curved edge as the leading edge rather than the older trailing edge. The cockpit with instrumentation that is designed for VFR flight. The very large opening canopy makes it easier to get in and out. A central view of the panel and controls. Thanks for looking
  9. Here are a bunch of shots that I took today as I continue my tour:- Continuing on from Juneau Airport I dropped into Juneau Harbour which has a seaplane landing area. Taking off again to do a fly around... ...crossing the container port... ...and passing the little town on my left (Juneau)... ...and here is one of the two marinas. Setting course now for my next port of call. The direct way to it is mountainous so I am climbing. Cresting a ridge I start a dive back down towards my objective. There is the runway ahead, jutting out into the water. I'm still diving as I enter a left base for a tight left turn... ...onto the runway. Down safely and coasting to a stop. This place is called Snettisham (same name as a place in England where I used to go to Motor Racing School!). Taking off again and... ...setting off for a place called Taku Lodge. That glacier is not named on my map. Taku Lodge had me fooled a bit...when I got directly over it on the map, there was only water with a few sand bars. I landed on one of the sand bars and then zoomed in fully on the map...The red symbol on the map then showed an anchor. So Taku Lodge is an anchorage. I taxied back into the water, lifted my gear and taxied to the correct position. However the anchorage has a nice beach so I lowered the gear again and beached the Icon to leave till tomorrow's tour. Thanks for looking
  10. I walked and climbed for a while at Juneau...Here are three shots:- Thanks for looking BTW...I'm flying this tour VFR and using the Map App on my iPad...I have it in front of me on a keyboard shelf and orientate the map by just turning the iPad. As I fly down a route I just drag with a finger to move the map along or use two fingers to zoom in or out. The mapping is Google's satellite imagery and I'm finding that MS Flight is very accurate
  11. Alaska in MS FLIGHT...These shots are from the small area surrounding the location of my airfield in FS9, so I guess only those who have flown from McLeland Field will be familiar with this terrain:- Anyone who flew from my airport will recognise those mountains, but might miss the windfarm. The other shots can be seen by clicking this address:- http://forum.mutleyshangar.com/index.php/topic/8375-a-very-small-part-off/#entry66641 Thanks for looking
  12. I have wondered how accurate the scenery is in MS Flight and I just landed at Kahului airport on Maui...I set the view to overhead and took a screenshot then I went to the same place in Google Map on my iPad and took another screenshot. here they are for comparison:- I am very impressed with the accuracy
  13. Hey Mathias...That is because this simulates a Marine Tropical Aquarium and aquariums don't have joysticks Seriously, it is a very very good simulation with accurate fish species and many animation features...The Lion fish has the most animations with eyes, gill plates, mouth and individual feathers of each fin all working...The Clams only react defensively to certain species of fish. OK you guys don't like it and make fun...But, I assure you that it IS a masterpiece of programming!
  14. The fish models in this simulation must be nearly as difficult to make as aeroplanes for flight simulators:- This is HD and definitely looks best if you click the resolution up to 1080p and the click the Full Screen Icon at bottom right.
  15. Yes that last chap did a really excellent job with the kick-off, wing down a bit and touch down first on that wheel technique.
  16. While I was rendering this video I studied the scenery...I came to the conclusion that this Scenery, Aircraft and Flight Dynamics are the best I have ever seen in any Flight Simulator straight out of the box. This is an HD video so click the resolution up to 1080p and then click the "Full Screen" icon at bottom right. Thanks for looking OK it is fixed now by using the "Long Link"
  17. I imagine that I got a bruised bum and a deflated ego from this flight! But I did get the Aerocache This is an HD video so click the resolution up to 1080p and then click the "Full Screen" icon at bottom right. Thanks for looking My url tags are being changed from url to media and this is preventing any possibility of my HD videos being played in Full Screen mode because it prevents the proper player with the Full Screen Icon at bottom right from being used. I go to an enormous amount of trouble to make my video in full HD and I would prefer not to post them where they can NOT be played in full screen...Mods, can you have a word with your software writers and I will make a complaint to YouTube about your software. Thank you. Meanwhile if anyone wants to seen my video in full screen then click on the bottom external link under my signature banner to go to my channel...This video is the first one listed below the featured Chipmunk video.
  18. I thought I would use this new paint for today's Aerocache. http://youtu.be/1h0APO_ZjjY This is an HD video so click the resolution up to 1080p and then click the "Full Screen" icon at bottom right. Thanks for looking
  19. This is the solution to capturing that elusive Aerocache that got me killed twice in my last video. http://youtu.be/UwzjnnFwB6Q This is an HD video so click the resolution up to 1080p and then click the "Full Screen" icon at bottom right. Thanks for looking
  20. Here are a couple of successful aerocaches followed by two disasterous failed attempts at another. http://youtu.be/vrvTTihZgOI This is an HD video so click the resolution up to 1080p and then click the "Full Screen" icon at bottom right. Thanks for looking
  21. This is a spin in the Icon of MS Flight...I had a lot of extra height as I had been up to a volcano caldera at over 13000 feet, so I decided to get rid of the surplus altitude to get onto my approach to land. This is an HD video so click the resolution up to 1080p and then click the "Full Screen" icon at bottom right. Thanks for looking
  22. That is the North American Harvard...The same type that I got my RAF wings on in 1952
  23. You can have a LOT of fun with the Icon A5...This video just shows me doing that by trying to imitate a Seagull. This is an HD video so click the resolution up to 1080p and then click the "Full Screen" icon at bottom right. Thanks for looking
  24. Just Sims now Pierre...I do get the odd chance to fly, but they are few and far between now...Here is the aeroplane that I did a 13 turn spin in, some years ago now...The owner was sitting in the back seat and it was him who counted the turns!
