  2. I've got good news and bad news.

The good news is that I've found the problem - namely that the V1.21 update removes the panel.cfg from the F-16A 9 panel folder.

It's not immediately apparent because of the panel.cfg.sp2 that is also there.

The bad news is that the full V1.21 installer does the same thing.

I did a full clean install and ran FSX without making any changes. The only aircraft visible for selection were those that use the F-16AM Display panel.

Just to verify, I did the whole thing again - same result.

  3. Reading Your post again I see that You are stuck with FSX SP1.

I´m pretty sure that the soundupdate only will work with SP2.

Maybe that is why they don´t show up.

Note the system requirements for the F-16 as noted on the product page:

Tried replacing the sound folder with another alias. No change.

I wonder what else is required by FSX to display an aircraft variation for selection. I've tried checking everything I can think of.

Whether it would work in SP1 is not at issue at this point. What is required by the selection function?

Be that as it may, I'm downloading V1.10 again, and will re-install. If that displays, I'll update to V1.21 again.

If that doesn't display - I'll be asking much more direct questions.

Just as well I enjoy this sort of thing, eh?

  4. Hi there,

Yes, they were all selectable on first installation and update - until the latest 'update'.

Yes, I have added third-party liveries. I have always checked that the model, title, ui_type, ui_variation and sim lines are correct for all liveries.

The fltsim numbers are also all correct.

I have also modified the panel - to use the Viper LMFD because I'm stuck at FSX SP1.

Frankly, I'm stumped. There's no apparent reason for this - at least, to my eyes - but I simply can't get any F-16 to appear for selection.

  5. I did try copying out one of the F-16 subdirectories.

I renamed the directory, and all the aircraft titles.

I removed the panel and sound aliasing (replaced with the full items).

I checked all the ui_manufacturer, etc lines.

All-in-all, no change. None of my F-16s appear in the aircraft selection window.

Something is interfering with the display of the Aerosoft F-16 for selection.

This happens with no other add-on I have.

They were all there prior to the running of the latest upfrade, and they're not there now.

It's reasonable to suspect that the installer has done something.

  6. It's the graphics card. SP2 requires certain graphics capabilities that I don't have in this laptop.

You seem very certain that the F-16 won't work.

RAZBAM said the same about their Prowler, but it works just fine.

What makes you say that it won't work?
