Well, the flight is saved, but after a second or two after initializing something pushes the cold and dark-button. -

Is there a possibility to force the plane to use the state it was in when exiting the program? -

Dear Mathijs I was hoping that one of your experts (e.g. Dave) could give me some advice. I do not want to bother you with my problem, but who else could I turn to for support if not the developer? Kind regards Christoph Kuehne -
Dear support, I was asking for advice last December. That's why I'm using the same title (continued). Since then, I haven't been able to solve the problem. Resuming a saved flight is still not possible for me. So I would like to ask if you could give me some tips. The aircraft still goes back into cold and dark-mode instead of keeping the data of the saved flight. That data is there for a second after loading, but then it's as if someone had pushed the cold-and-dark-button. Everything else works great, I can also do long flights without issues. I'm using

I've just tried to load that flight again: Here's what I got from the event viewer. Thanks for looking into the problem. š Log Name: Application Source: Application Error Date: 21/12/2019 16:50:31 Event ID: 1000 Task Category: (100) Level: Error Keywords: Classic User: N/A Computer: DESKTOP-237MJQN Description: Faulting application name: Prepar3D.exe, version: 4.5.12.30293, time stamp: 0x5cd47aad Faulting module name: ucrtbase.dll, version: 10.0.18362.387, time stamp: 0x4361b720 Exception code: 0xc00004

Hello Otto, I didn't get an error message. P3dv4 loads up to 3% and then bang, it's gone. Do you have a suggestion what I could try? Thanks. Christoph
-
I've just done a test flight from LOWS to LSZH. The flight was successfully completed, no problems at all. However, just before TOD I had saved the flight. After completing it, I shut down P3dv4, restarted it and wanted to load my saved flight. CTD. I couldn't load that flight. What is the matter, I wonder.

Well, thanks. That means that the problem must be at my end. When I load a saved flight, after about 2 seconds everything starts to shut down, screens, engines, ... So the question is, why does it do that? And what can I do? Reinstall?
-
Could anyone confirm that resuming a saved flight works ok for them? Thanks.
-
Well, I tried that several times and everything shuts off, the screens e.g. turn black, the engines die, etc., as if it was going into a cold and dark state.
-
Trying to resume a saved flight, the screens are on in the first couple of seconds and then shut off, probably going back to a certain predefined start-up state. What can I do to make the plane continue with everything the way it was when I saved the flight? Sorry, if this has been asked or explained before, but I haven't been able to find an entry. Thanks a lot for your help. Christoph

Just reinstalled the crj, downloaded the full install. Strangely enough, the crj XML-file in the updater's product file is also empty, and so the updater produced the blank page again... What can I do? Thanks for your support.

I've just found the solution to my problem: In the products folder, I had the DC-8 XML file. I opened it and found out that it was empty. So I removed it from the products folder and see, the updater worked again. I was also able to update the bus directly without any issues. So my next question: Why is the DC8 XML file empty? Chris
