  1. I note the possible release date is now April. This does not worry me, as you have explained before these are part of warehouse management and not a development schedule.

My plea is that you have a Prepar3D installer as part of the package.

Others have succeeded, but I have failed to get Airbus X to run in P3D. Mr Mathijs Kok, I will be the first to buy a full installation of Airbus X Extended if you include a P3D installer. Please, danke.

  2. Look, you already know the answer and you've just admitted it was working OK.

Read what Andy just posted, 3 times, and drop the sarcasm.;)

Well Captain Golding you are a sweet person, always ready to let someone know when they step out of line. No wonder this is not one of the most popular add-ons if people seeking assistance must tip-toe round your sensitive feelings.

If a quadrant is needed it should be up there in bold lettering. Without a quadrant therefore it would be a foolish purchase and a marginally unethical sale.

However once again, instead of a further lesson, I would be grateful if an interested member of the forum might help me with my question. Where and how could I adjust one of the base documents to allow the button solution to work.

  3. Why thank you Paul for serving me up a lesson in morals and ethics. I certainly need one from time to time.

So let me tell you what I have noted. Firstly the throttles are not able to be moved using the familiar F1 to F4 keys, that all other aircraft in FSX of my ownership can do. Nor can they be grabbed and moved by the mouse.

Secondly, it would appear that sliders on many joysticks are not recognised. In my case the slider on a Logitech Extreme 3D can't be made to work by me.

Yes quadrants do appear to work, and did for me when I first got the add-on, however my quadrant is in the shop being checked out for a mechanical problem so I am stuck.

I have ironically a Pro Flight Yoke system, so I set two buttons up to give me throttle increase and decrease. They do, but only through full reverse to zero. So at least I can reverse around an airport. However, seriously, with less sermonising and more assistance I would be grateful if someone could tell me how to alter 'whatever' to get the throttle to operate over the full range in button, not axes mode.

  4. I am afraid I am another of those who simply can't get the throttle to work. I have tried all suggested solutions, bar one. That one is a clean install of FSX, but think about it. I have FSX up and running, well tweaked and performing well, with all existing aircraft including the venerable old Wilco Feelthere responding to all controller commands. I have the unregistered version of FSUIPC and don not even know how to set controllers up in it.

I spent a lot of money, the exchange rate with the Euro was well down when I bought Airbus X. For that money I am instructed to go back to a fresh install of FSX and a total disturbance to all of my other aircraft. I know that it has to be done from time to time, but if I don't it means that I have wasted my money on an aircraft that does not do as advertised. Simpler, no way, the systems are complex and well-modelled and not having SIDS/STARS only makes approaches to land, in particular harder, as the simmer must find a waypoint to give a fair turn onto the ILS from a reasonable distance.

Sometimes I think the corporate affairs authorities should look into computer gaming to check that there is value for money and truth in advertising.

  5. These are the traffic lines found in my Scenery\World\Scenery file.

The first refers to an Orbx add-on to increase Australian traffic when flying in Australia.

In the second trafficBoats has been altered to get rid of ungainly ferries in a coastal section of Australia: the carriers is self-explanatory, and the final Traffic-GA bgl is a freeware add-on that improves GA traffic mainly at small airports and fields.

    TrafficAircraft.bgl.DISABLED-FOR-FTX-AI

    trafficBoats.bgl

    trafficBoats.bgl.disabled for Ants

    TrafficCarriers.bgl

    Traffic-GA.BGL

It does not contain the entry mentioned in the FAQ ie ...passive.bgl, but I thought the FTX entry would have had the same effect. It would be easy enough to replace it with the MT 2010 entry.

    I would appreciate your help.

  6. Shaun: I neither got the Sound Patch menu on the primary installation or th repair run.

My OS is Win 7 64bit and that may be some of the reason.

How do I identify the Patch on the DVD? Or can I download it separately and install?

Problem solved. I went into the My Traffic folder in FSX, and inside found a seperate installer for the Sound Patch. All now installed correctly, and a flight from Las Vegas to Santa Monica in the default King Air proved that the installation succeeded with a great range of call signs being heard.

    Sorry to bother you.

  7. Hello deecee,

Just run the installer again and see if it has a repair option, it may then give you the chance to install the sound patch.

  8. Hello Perfectflyer,

Out of options maybe not, did you check this thread here.

My problem is different but I also seek help. I have installed My Traffic 2010 into Win 7 -64 bit. All seemed to install without problem. Except the Sound Patch box never appeared. I did a repair run, but again nothing.

Is this a known Win 7 issue, and is there a cure? I could not find any patches in the Download section, and I can't figure out on the DVD which file contains the Sound Patch.

If possible a link to download the Sound Patch would be the simplest, or a direction to the Sound Patch on the DVD would be appreciated. Danke

  9. Down Under in Australia and New Zealand, only two airlines operate the 320/321

    JETSTAR

    AIR NEW ZEALAND.

Unlike Europe and the US we don't have any other options, and it would look plain stupid to operate a North American or a European livery in these countries.

You will sell many copies of the Aerosoft A320 in our two countries, as there are many fanatical committed simmers down here. It is the home of the leading scenery builder Orbx.

But you will increase the incentive to buy this product if you have both of these liveries available on Day 1 for download. (Just don't let anyone produce a Qantas livery, they only fly 737s domestically)

  10. A lot of Asian Airlines used both A320/A321, with a lot of aircraft:

    AirAsia: A320

    Air China: A320, A321

    ANA: A321

    Asiana: A320, A321

    Cebu Pacific: A320

    China Eastern Airlines: A320, A321

    China Southern Airlines: A320, A321

    Dragonair: A320, A321

    Juneyao Airlines: A320

    Mandala Airines: A320

    Philippines Airlines: A320

    Shenzhen Airlines: A320

    Sichuan Airlines: A320, A321

    Silkair: A320

    Spring Airlines: A320

    Thai AisAsia: A320

    Tiger Airways: A320

    Vietnam Airlines: A320, A321

  11. Now I will get myself into trouble for not having read right through this thread!

Jetstar airlines, a subsidiary of Qantas, but with a different livery is the only A320/321 operator in Australia.

Ditto Air New Zealand in that country, (though Jetstar is entering that market).

Could these liveries be included in the release, because you will have many customers immediately in these countries. However it is somewhat demeaning for us to have to use a European livery way down under, and worse to have to adopt British Airways!!!

  12. I have been reading this thread with some wry amusement.

It is extraordinary that so many members can regret this or that feature of this simulation, when there are alternatives on the market that gives them a range between some of the dreadful 'lite ' aircraft that another developer makes, and super complex aircraft like the JS4100. Some of the lite aircraft, like the defaults, use the default GPS. Now that's what I call an insult, as nobody can pretend to fly a heavy without a functional CDU, and it is totally unrealistic.

But I am time-constrained from time to time. Which means I can't go through the elaborate procedures of complex add-ons and retain my job and my wife.

So an intermediate version is going to be good.

Of course some of the GA and Bush lighties are also fun with Orbx scenery, but a flight in a heavy is also satisfying, when time is short.

When the complex variant becomes available, I will buy it, but I will be fascinated whether I use it. The so-called simplified version may be all I need most of the time.

Matthijs: I am sure you must be grateful for all of the unsolicited advice that you have received!

  13. If you have enough USB ports, then it's easy to have a joystick as well as yoke.

After all it is not just Airbus, there is the Tiger Moth, Cub and many, many that are flown with a stick not a yoke.

Someone earlier queried a 320 being built by another company, indeed I understand it is on the market. I am glad I never bought it, those that have describe it as vapourware, not worth the money. So I'll go with dear old Wilco until Aerosoft A320 is RTM. Soon I hope.

  14. I would like to exclude My Traffic from generating flights in Australia. How can I do this, or do I have to bring up every airport starting with the ICAO Y... and deleted them?

Sorry for the naive question, but I have always used the various versions of MY Traffic, and none other in FSX with considerable satisfaction. However, there have always been more than a few curious aircraft turn up when I mix My Traffic with Australian FTX AI US Air turboprops for instance are unlikely to fly scheduled flights across the Pacific.

  15. My apologies. I worked down the topics until I found one similar to mine. I had checked the fsx.cfg, but not carefully enough. The 2010 installer had put the entry at the end of the section and I had missed it. I have now removed the extra entry and all seems well.

    Sorry, again.

  16. I have just uninstalled My Traffic X version 5.1b, rebooted, then installed My Traffic 2010, and rebooted.

On loading FSX I couldn't get past Airbus 300 as pop-up windows showed each aircraft as duplicated, therefore according to the pop-up "each aircraft should have a unique name". I went into the MSFS folder and found no duplicate folder left behind, and within this folder the aircraft.cfg file showed each aircraft as a separate entry (flightsim.1 etc etc) and no numbers duplicated.

Obviously there is either a remnant from Traffic X, or I need to look further to identify the problem. Can any one assist me? Please.

  17. I am much the same as others with the GTX. I have found it worth it (and I don't overclock). However, I have recently installed a quadcore 6850 (3gigs over four cores) and that has made a huge difference.

My pocket didn't stretch to the new 9600, but the qx6850 has made a massive difference.

The best videocard is essential but a quadcore overcomes the cpu blockage created by the software. In SP2 the threading has been optimised, and so all that scenery is loaded over four cores with a great improvement in smoothness and quality.

  18. Google came up with one thread on this subject. I think it was in this forum, but I could not see a cure.

I recently purchased the CD version of MyTrafficX.

It developed problems (for which I found a cure on a thread, but too late), so I uninstalled the appllication. There is no uninstall on the CD, so I used the Control Panel uninstall.

Then I went to reinstall and was told MTX was still installed.

I ran a repair of FSX, still unable to Reinstall.

So I totally uninstalled FSX, including the game folder. Again told MTX was still installed.

Two computer experts later, the registry purged of any recognisable leftover MTX folders amd files, the layout.ini discovered and purged, still the same message.

What is that I/we have missed?? Your help please,

I do not intend to re-initiate the system for one app.
