  1. Hi, the answer is quite simple. Normally you use either one of the two modes. If you use the "Simple Mode" then there is no possibility considered to change any of the Advanced Parameters like Alternate Distance. The "Simple Mode" p. e. always calculates with 200 nm distance to the alternate destination........ Regards, Rolf
  2. I do not want to be unpolite but what do you expect from a software for which you paid a couple of ten euros compared to the "hardware" which costs several million euros? I do really hope not the same behaviour! You bought a simulation software and software behaves in some ways different from the real thing. In reality no pilot is allowed to fly without using the checklist and this was our intention when we implemented this feature: To make it "real" as possible. A lot of users in this thread confirmed that it works using the checklists as required e. g. without any issues. If you want to use the software in a different way e. g. playing around (or using your own procedures) you can of course do that but do not blame Aerosoft if something is not working as you expect. You are using the words "assume" resp. "think" but how we shall definitely know that you did everything according to the procedures implemented / programmed and did not forget to make certain settings? And additionally you cannot compare this version with previous ones as most parts of it are really newly programmed and a lot of features have been added. I suggested a "workaround" for your problems but if you do not accept it then I am out of options. Therfore for me this discussion is closed.......
  3. Josu, wie ich Deiner Beschreibung entnehme, benutzt Du - im Gegensatz zu Meyerflyer - die Checklisten und Copilot Funktion. Meine Frage daher, weil ich das Problem nicht reproduzieren kann, wartest Du nach der Beendigung der Parking CL die 5 Minuten bis der Turnaround State automatisch geladen wird oder lädst Du einfach vorher manuell In der MCDU3 den TURNAROUND STATE? Ich kann nur empfehlen, die 5 Minuten abzuwarten, denn es werden danach alle Variablen des bisherigen Fluges gelöscht und das Flugzeug in den TURNAROUND STATE versetzt. Wenn Dir die 5 Minuten zu lang sind, dann kannst Du ja die Zeit-Beschleunigung (Tastatur R+ bzw. R-) benutzen....... Liebe Grüße Rolf
  4. How do you determine if not using the checklist function that the plane is in the turnaround state? Just looking at some switches? But what about all the background system items? That is why if the checklist is used the plane is automatically set back (after the parking checklist has been finished) to the initial TURNAROUND ACFT STATE. If you do not use the checklist function then at least you should reload the TURNAROUND ACFT STATE before starting your new flight....... I do not know if all systems are then set back to its initial state but at least most of them ..... and maybe your problems are solved. Regards, Rolf
  5. Looking into the program I think the starting condition has no influence on this issue. I tried to reproduce the issue but failed. Everything works well after the "automatic" turnaround e.g. 5 minutes after the parking CL has been finished. The only possibility I see how this might happen is that you maybe did not wait those 5 minutes but manually loaded the TURNAROUND state in the MCDU3. This state is used after loading the aircraft e.g. all variables in such a case are "cleared". If it is manually used after the parking CL has been finished some variables from the previous flight are maybe not yet "cleared". This only happens during the automatic setback to the TURNAROUND state. So do not use this function for a real turnaround but wait the 5 minutes. If this seems to be too long for you then use the time accellaration function in P3D (keyboad R+ / resp. R-). Regards, Rolf
  6. All MCDU3 general and individual settings (and a lot of other variables) are saved in a file called "Setup.abx". In a "clean" file version no DEF ACFT STATE is defined because we believe that this an individual option. So if for any reason this file has to be updated a new "clean" version is distributed which means the user has to repeat his individual settings...... Regards, Rolf
  7. If the C&D ACFT STATE does not load properly the reason might be your installation folder. According to LM everything should be nowerdays installed outside the P3D v4 folder with the Prepar3D.exe. So the standard installation folder for the Aerosoft Airbus Professional is C:\Users\Your Name\Documents\Aerosoft ...... and I believe you maybe manually changed this! So uninstall the Aerosoft Airbus Professional using the Windows function, delete all remaining folders/files in D:\p3dv4\Aerosoft........ and newly install it on C.\Users\Your Name\Documents\...... I am convinced that this will solve your problems because until now no other user experienced the problem described. Regards, Rolf
  8. You are saying that your DEF ACFT STATE is C&D and that in the LOAD/FUEL menu only INSTANT is available and as well that you have to set chocks and external power to on. This clearly shows that the ACFT STATE C&D is not correctly loaded as otherwise the complete LOAD/FUEL options would be available. Also the chocks should be on as well as the external power connected. In such a case please try to reload the ACFT STATE again by clicking on the LSK1L again...... Regards, Rolf
  9. Matty, there are two options why maybe the announcement is now being played. One is that the sound file is missing. So please check if you find in the folder .....Aerosoft A318-A319 Professional Base\Sound_ASC the file called "ASC_CC_Safety.wav". If yes then some of the other preconditions for running the file are not met: Those conditions are: Engine 1 and 2 N1 RPM is smaller than 50 Flaps are set to 1 or higher Strobe Light is set to AUTO Ground Velocity is greater than 10 knots Regards, Rolf

  12. Currently I am on the road and have no access to the documentation but I know that the flaps are set by the copilot in the CL. Try again with the Copilot set to ON and you will see that sets the flaps as entered in the MCDU PERF TO Page... Regards Rolf

    Chumlay, I do not understand why you opened another topic with the same problem? Please have a look at in which you already asked when the update will be released. As mentioned there we found the issue why the PMDG/WX weather file is not loaded correctly and stated that the issue will be solved with the next update........ Regards, Rolf

  22. Why do want to push the button before it is called? Is there a special reason? Otherwise just don't do it and follow the CL sequence. I found the root cause, put it on my to-do-list and it will be changed in one of the next hotfixes / updates..... Regards, Rolf
  23. Jack, no more idea what could cause that issue. Do you use any other program which uses the keys 1 and 2? Are you talking about the keys on the keyboard itself or did you try to use the ones on the numeric keyboard? If you use the resp. LSK on the MCDU3 does the CL then start? But the topic of this thread is the PB function....... do you have also problems with this function or did you hijack this thread because we were talking about keys / numbers? Regards, Rolf

  25. Jack, sorry but cannot confirm the issue...... on my system everything works as required. I hope you are using the INFOBAR as then after the BEFORE ENGINE START CL has been finished the general pushback options are displayed on the bar. If you select "1" and then open the MCDU3 / CHECKLIST menu (LSK1R) you should see the PB menu with feet/meters...... again: Do not select the PB menu on the MCDU 3 / GND SERVICES / PUSHBACK ...... If you still have those problems then something seems to be wrong with your installation...... Then remove the Aerosoft Airbus using Window functionality and try a complete new install. Regards, Rolf
