  3. Simon, as a long time reader and sometimes writer I really respect your knowledge about FS, PCs and aviation in general. Of course it's getting boring when people don't take their time to search the forum. But please keep one thing in mind. I'm pretty sure there are a lot of people out there how buy Aerosoft products and have never been in the forum since everything worked fine. Now they have a problem and find the the first time this forum here. They post in the hope to get help from Aerosoft side and you answer "stop wasting OUR time". Well, I know you and I wouldn't take the answer bad. But for somebody who is new to the community it must sound like "Nice that you have bought a Aerosoft product, but now go to hell". From where should he know that you are only a user and not stuff? Sure, a lot of people are buying the Bus in the moment and a lot of people have their problems. So, no wonder when a lot of people also join the forum and post questions. I think it's much better to give a short hint as Andy did (first answer), instead of scaring them away. Don't forget that it's reflecting onto whole Aerosoft. Kai

    Could maybe somebody consider to close this topic? How much of the wing do you see when looking out of the VC? I have to try when I come home. Why I'm asking? If realism is so important to you, you will for sure stay in the VC for the whole flight. At least I do so since I have never seen the captain sitting on seat 23A and watching out of the window nor sitting on the wing.. So, for what to waste a LOT of resources when you don't see the wings?? Sorry, but that's nonsense. I have a couple of hundred hours as PIC on different type of airplanes, also on the 172 and I have never noticed any wingflex. Even with a Pa28 in really heavy turbulence. Kai

  10. Hello Folks, please don't wonder why I post this pics here. I promised in the Dimona preview tread to post a couple of pics from our flight to Hannover. Ground control made a joke out of it and parked us between two A320 instead at the GAT. @Joachim Yes, it's just a Super Dimona with Rotax 912.. Cheers, Kai

  13. Servus, wie meinst Du Umwandlung in DTX 1&3? Von was aus? Ich kann nur für meinen selbst produzierten Kram(Sceneries) sprechen, aber ohne MipMaps flimmert es sobald ein farblicher Kontrast da ist. 7-9 MipMaps sollten es schon sein. Kai

  15. Do you mean the DS Katana? Yes, it was beautiful in Fs9, but you can't compare it to the new one. There are some years between.. I'm quite sure that there will never be a Gulfstream in FS. After all what I have been reading, they have even the shape of the windows trademarked. The developer would most probably get a cease and desist letter pretty soon after release..
  16. Servus, mit welchem Fs bist Du unterwegs? Wie sehen Deine sonstigen Specs aus? Ich kann nur für den FSX sprechen; bin schon vor einiger Zeit von der 8800 auf die 260 (1GB) umgestiegen. Es bringt natürlich schon was, erwarte aber keine Wunder. Win7 und i7 bringt wesentlich mehr. Ich will Dir auf keinen Fall abraten. IMHO, bleibt man bei Nvidia, ist die 260 oder 285 die beste Auswahl. Nach all dem, was ich bis jetzt gelesen hab, ist der Flaschenhals des FSX die Graphic-engine (ich meine irgendwo gelesen zu haben, dass sie basicly aus dem FS2000 stammt). Die neuen Features von der 4xx-Serie werden gar nicht unterstützt. Das Geld kann man sich sparen und legt es besser für einen gescheiten CPU an. Grüsse, Kai
  17. Hi folks, I don't know if it's so right to post it, but there was a while ago a discussion in the German forum, which went to the question what the status of AFS2012 might be. My feeling that it might be a good that Aerosoft is so quiet in the moment seems to be right. That's what Mathijs answered: Just to answer the questions about the status which were asked above.   18. Yeah, so it really looks like. It's for sure a Schempp-Hirth plane. I actually didn't know that there has been a Discus K. Sure, a Cirrus K, but it's cockpit looks quite different (not to say older).. Hmm.. Btw.: Nice program, but not too heavy. No problem to fly it even with a ASK 21. But I suppose it doesn't say anything about the plane. Or?
  19. Moikka Jari, Michael is really right; it doesn't make any sence to discuss deeper, but this kind of attitudes can make one really annoyed. Or am I just too old-fashioned? If so, then I'm quite happy. Ok, you asked Judith, but let me answer: Yes, see below Yes, I have. My old CD's, since the time of Disc-man's is over and we use mp3-playes nowerdays. Does "thief" sound better to you? Do you steel cars to test them if they are what you are looking for? The only difference is that you buy the car (or whatever) in itself and for software you buy a license which allowes you to use it. So, why it makes me really angry when Fs and piracy comes together: Do you have a clue about developing add-ons? I have some. After a bit more than one year learning and trying I'm coming into the direction that I like what I do, but I'm LIGHTYEARS away from that what you download. I hope you know that most Add-on's are developed by single people in free time. I think, you don't have any clue how much time they spend on a single project. I have read a statement from one developer who said that he has certainly lost the joy cause the product is x times more pirated than bought. Gosh, add-on's are so cheap nowerdays, specially when I see it in relation to the work involved. You don't hurt a big company, you hurt single people! Sorry, I just needed to say that. T. Kai
  20. Hallo Lars, danke für den Link. Mein erster Gedanke war "Ach so, das ist ja der alte A320 Simulator. Da wäre ich aber auch nicht drauf gekommen". Wie gesagt, googeln hat zu gar nichts geführt. Was Nicolas gemeint hat, und ich stimme ihm voll zu, ist, dass der Name reichlich irreführend ist. Beim ersten (und vielleicht zweiten) Blick liest man "Microsoft Flug Simulator 2010".     Windows 7

    Yep, was Sascha schreibt kann ich nur bestätigen. Hab Vista ausgelassen und XP behalten. Win7 ist das erste Betriebssystem, dass mich wirklich begeistert. Die Firma, bei der ich arbeite, macht es genau so im Moment. Der Laden ist nicht ganz klein (so 130.000 Mitarbeiter). Die IT-guys müssen schon wissen was sie machen, wenn sie x-tausend Rechner umstellen.

  24. Servus Max, Die Befürchtung, dass Add-ons im jetzigen Sinne nicht mehr funktionieren, hab ich schon an verschiedenen Stellen gelesen. Aber ich geb Dir vollkommen Recht; erstmal abwarten. Ich habe kürzlich in einem Post von Mathjs gelesen, dass es schon vorwärts geht (frag mich nicht wo..). Dass Aerosoft so ruhig ist, könnte auch ein gutes Zeichen sein. Allerdings hat er es auch als ASFS 2013 bezeichnet.. Grüsse aus Finnland, Kai
  25. Yelling around isn't too friendly.. In my experience is the instant replay quite buggy. But there is a pretty nice tool called FsRecorder. It's freeware, just google it. You just record your flight, save it and play it back as traffic or user aircraft. For recording the movie you can use FRAPS, as Shaun already said. Kai
