  1. Hi

Just want to inform you that one of the light map textures is reversed on the paint "Agressor 272"

Pls look at the attached images, when cabin light is on is the light map on the fin is swapped between the right and left side.

Don't know if this has been sad before,or if the info is new - but here it is anyway.

    Regards

    //Gerth

Indeed, i haven't notice that before. Won't be hard to fix, hopefully it can make the SP1

  2. i noticed that all of the sudden my thunderbird didnt look right, the textures for some reason dont match anymore, the color is off from the front to the back portion, it wasnt like that when i first got it though :o ...any ideas? :(

Looks like this is a modified texture of the Thunderbirds, it's not the one I made. I don't know how the maker of these modified textures saved these textures but could be that's bmp instead of dds. Or that the specular textures where left out.

  3. I don't know if anyone noticed that the whine of the engine at idle (spot view) is heard only from the front of the aircraft but not from the behind ...

Could someone have accidentally swapped the sound .cfg setting/setup backwards (Accidentally)? ???

Can someone else verify this for me as well?

PS: I believe that the sound of the canopy is backwards on my canopy open/close too.

    Hi,

Whine at idle should be most noticable from the front quarter. It is the way it's intended to be.

Indeed, so no bug there. As for the canopy sound being backwards, that will be fixed in next SP as Finn points out. But it's easy to fix yourself. Just rename TSS Canopy close.wav to TSS Canopy.wav and rename TSS Canopy.wav to TSS Canopy close.wav. These sounds can be found in the folder Aerosoft F-16C Clean\Sound

  4. Hi chaps, I was just wondering if you'd had a chance to update the paint kit yet?

    Thanks :)

I've send mine to the boss a week ago, I don't know what is taking him so long. Probably busy with other stuff...

  5. He Mathijs, did some more landings and indeed a think the previous times i was coming in too hard and damaged the elevators.

Performed 7 to 8 landings with right speed and AOA, smooth flair and after each landing could take off witch visible working elevators.

So i think there is no problem.

Regarding the rudder as you stated: use it as less as possible. It is better during take off to stay centered by slightly applying some differrential brake.

Oh man, I had tons of landings like that in the beginning, destroying the elevators  Not a bug, just a too hard landing. Keeping the right speed and AoA and you'll be fine.

  6. Thanks ever so much, it's very much appreciated. 15_T is the texture for the CFT's, fairly inconsequential in the grand scheme of things but I was just wondering. In fact with a little bit of effort I'm sure even I could knock up a layered .psd for that one :)

    Thanks once again.

 You're right, 15_T is the CFT, and I made that one myself  Sorry, that one will be included as well.

  7. I take it that's a no then? ;)

I don't have the PSD files of all those textures. I have them for 11_T (pylons), 13_T (tanks) and 14_T (targeting pods and IRIS-T). 15_T doesn't exist. We'll update the paintkit with these.

  8. second: on the product site it says the F16 comes with 61 different liveries. In my aircaft menu however, i have only 55 variations at all. Any ideas? And on the product site are screenshots that show an F16 model with conformal fuel tanks. I do not have a model like that...

And to answer the second part, that 61 liveries was a mistake on the website, there should be about 55 liveries in total. And the F-16 model with CFTs should be there, it's in a Greek paint. Look in your airplanes folder for a folder called "Aerosoft F-16C 120-2000-225-33".

  9. I bought this issue just for the cover alone. It's not everyday that I see my "art work" on a magazine cover  I hope the will do a full review later on, seems they didn't get the latest beta for the preview...

  10. Sacreligious!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Indeed! It's like buying a Ferarri and then asking the sellsman to remove all parts except the wheels, engine and steering wheel as that's all you're going to use...

BTW, what do you mean with clean liveries? The paints that don't look dirty aka weathered? Or are you talking about the models and you only want to fly the clean configuration models (Thunderbirds, demo F-16s)?

Really, removing stuff hardly has any impact on FS loading time etc. But if you insist, the answer has been mentioned here is different posts. First delete the liveries that you don't want from the aircraft.cfg from each folder. Then delete those texture. folders. And if you don't want to use the different models you can delete those as well. Good luck, but don't come knocking on our door when stuff stops working correct.

  11. F-16 is bought and a regrettable point is as follows.

Warning of "Over-G" doesn't sound it.

    The (real) F-16 doesn't have a "over-G" warning sound

    Other warning sounds hardly ring.

True, also to my regret. I would love to have the "Bitching Betty" sounds in there, but I believe it was very hard if not impossible to get them to work. Hopefully we find a way to get it to work after all, but no promises.

It doesn't take off if 200kt is not exceeded.

What model(s)? The fully loaded F-16s (like the SEAD) are much heavier than the clean ones (Thunderbirds) and take longer and higher speed to take off. But at around 200knt they should all be able to take off

I do not think that the overall movement is quick.

Again, what model(s)? The heavier they are the slower the movement.

  12. hello guys,

I saw with the J-055 on the sidewinders (smoke rockets) that the text on it was not right plaese check that for us

Yes, I know. The texture used for the smokewinders is displayed reversed (mirrored) on the rightside smokewinder. Not sure if this issue can be fixed, but I hope so. One way to fix it is to make a separate texture for the rightside smokewinder. Hopefully fixed in one of the next updates.

  13. There isn't really a need for a tutorial. There are just two switches for the AP: one for Roll and one for Pitch. Easy as that :D The manual explains for it works. The manual is available for free. The following is from the manual:

    AUTO PILOT

The auto pilot systems in the F-16 are rather rudimentary with just pitch and roll controls. Please note you will need to cycle through modes to get to a certain setting sometimes.

    ROLL

HEADING MODE - Holds heading set in

HSI OFF - Roll mode off

    BANK MODE- Holds bank attitude

    PITCH

ALTITUDE HOLD - Holds current altitude

    OFF - Pitch mode off

ATTITUDE HOLD - Holds current pitch attitude

  14. It's a known problem, the lighting is FSX really is a mess. We were able to get landing light on the ground in Acceleration but not in SP2 or the other way round. So we decided to have no light on ground (for now). I don't know if it will be possible to overcome this problem, but I'm sure it will be investigated.
