  1. Have you updated your F-16 to the latest version (1.20)? If you did, the first entry of the aircraft.cfg in the Aerosoft F-16C Clean folder should be the Thunderbirds F-16 with on the third line sim=F-16 F110 CAT-I. In that case the paint you downloaded should work.

If you did not install the update that line looks like this: sim=F-16 CAT-I (so without the F110 in betweeen). That F110 addition was part of the last update. So there are tow things you can do: install the update or remove the F110 from the sim=F-16 F110 CAT-I line from the 111FS repaint entry. I hope this works for you.

  2. Which one is that VinCrasher?

That's Mr. VinCrasher for you ;)

It's the 16-212. Used by the Navy from 1952 till 1957 in New Guinea. In 1984 it was part of the museum collection until 1996. Has been outside all that time. Was in poor conditions and has been in restoration ever since. Hopefully it will be in full display again when the new museum opens at the former Soesterberg AB.

  3. Very nice Jan. I specially like the Dutch paints :) Is that KLM one fictional or did they actually fly the PBY? The registration seems to be from the NL-Indië, did they fly them there?

On the MLD Cat, I thought that the grey was more darker and blue-ish but I could be wrong. There are not that many color pictures of the plane in that colorscheme around. I was planning on doing that paint some day, but glad you did it already.

  4. AFAIK 12:10 AM does exist. That's the point of the whole AM/PM (12-hour) clock system. Have a look here

I haven't read any comments on the new forum so far except for the above one. I must say I like the change. Some nice additions, with the upload/download for repaints as the best one ;) Great job guys!

  5. That dark smoke should also be visible at low altitudes (at all altitudes as a matter of fact). But to remove it from the F-16, got to the aircraft.cfg of each model and look for the [sMOKESYSTEM] entry. You can delete that line all together, or disable it with two "//" in front of the line "smoke.0 = -23.55, 0.0, -1.7, fx_f16_smoke". Caution: the F-16AM Display and F-16C Clean have a different smoke entry, this is the white smoke used during the airshows.

  6. Looking good Marty. Very good for a first repaint. On your last question, probably there are two textures for the propeller cones, one for when it's static and one for when it's running. So you need to paint them both. I'm not familiar with the paintkit yet so I can't point them out to you but I think Dag or Yago can :)

  7. Get it. install it and it will be ready when you have the time!! This aircraft is Stefan at his best... amazing work. 3 more models and one updated to come i SP

Got it! :) And glad that I have, damn what a great plane. And the sounds  something you couldn't get from the screenshots. My compliments to the Cat-team :D

  8. On simflight.com I read there is an update for My TrafficX, 5.2a. However when on the Aerosoft support and update site I can't find it, only update 5.1a and 5.1b. Will it be available there as well?

  9. That indeed is bad news. I wonder how good the backup of AVsim is, a lot of companies and FS enthusiast depend on their site/forum/library. Personally I had quite some paintwork on there :( I hope they're able to restore it to it's original state. On simflight.com I read this:

Tom now writes ".... We have set up a temporary forum in order that we can provide status reports on our efforts to bring AVSIM back online. I would very much appreciate it if you could post the link to our temporary home and help us get the word out.

Here is the link: http://linux.myalbemarle.org/forums/index.php .....".

  10. Progress is fast and furious at this moment, models are being done at nearly one per day. See here the harvest of the last week:

What can I say other that FANTASTIC :D The Cat looks real nice. Perhaps the PH-PBY could use a little bit more polish to make it more shiny, but it's hard to judge from a few screenshots.
