Hi,
The developer (me in this case) would have no problem with an FS9 update whatsoever.
The problem is the photo-realistic bitmap, which already has it's max resolution in FS9. The new FSX version is almost 3 times higher in resolution and this is something you cannot do for FS9.
Thus the FS9 update would have no real meaning, apart from adding the "SkyCourt". But I will add that soon.

So why did you recently release a version of Zurich for FS9? That seems rather inconsistent with the above comment.
Please don't misunderstand, I purchased LHBP for FS9 'as is' and am very happy with it. I don't feel I am in any way entitled to anything more - I got what I paid for. But just please speak to us in a straightforward way. If there isn't going to be an FS9 update because the developer doesn't want to do one (no probs with that) then please just say so.

We have had a small update which fixes a few problems, but not sure when it will be released, hopefully soon.

I read this today 'From now on the download-version of Mega Airport Amsterdam contains original and exclusive licensed Lufthansa Airport charts. Customers, who will buy the coming box-version of Amsterdam,can hold the printed charts in their hands.'
Will existing download customers be able to download these charts?

Oh dear, I don't think I'm going to be much use to you:
1 x Main comp for FS9 and a little FSX but it's not quite macho enough.
1 x My laptop for working
1 x Fiancée's laptop for working
And that's it. It would appear we are quite stone-age ;-)

Hopefully the FSX version will show better performance than FS2004 version has done so far.

I must say that I feel that EHAM is not up to the usual standard that I expect from Aerosoft. I realise that different products are made by different groups, but when they are marketed under one name, you expect the same quality.

Since Shaun has started that thread and since it sounds like there's going to be some rework of that nice scenery, I feel the urge to point at what I think is a major issue with Mega Amsterdam.
There are lots of small details that could be improved when you are right on the airport, but there in my opinion a serious problem when you're actually flying toward the airport.
It must have to do with the LOD architecture of the scenery, and perhaps, with the 'under the sea level status of Schipol.
Better than a long post full of typos, those screenies will show the problem:
3 nautical miles from the airport and no 3d objects is abnormal, and that is a problem. I know some bits of the makings of a scenery, LODs etc, but here that's really exagerated, and that must be sorted.
Always difficult to compare with other sceneries, however if we look at other mega airports from AS the story is a whole different: Madrid, Heathrow, De gaulle, Frankfurt, Brussel (same deisgner) etc,
as far as 10NM away you can already see the main buildings first LODs.
There is also something wrong with how AI aircrafts remain untextured in Mega Amsterdam: I know some AI models loose their texture from the distance and their lowest LODs, but here, even at 1 mile
they're still naked. That should really be worked out, I hope Cornel reads this.
Seeing a vast empty area filled with naked AI aircrafts instead of an airport, when you're on final at less than a few nuatical miles and few hundreds feets is defintiely not pleasant and not the way it should be. Again, no other Mega Airports from Aerosoft looks like this.
In fact, I am thinking that the buildings popping up in view like they do, making the whole think look quite weird, is because they are not built with LODs.
Which nowadays, cant be.

I don't have these issues with EDDF, LFPG and EGLL. Hope EHAM can be brought up to their standard.

No, I'm mainly an FS9 person. I have FSX but it doesn't run as well as FS9 on my comp. FS9 for complex addons, FSX for messing around in VFR.

In the Account, there has the FS2004 Version been uploaded twice instead of the FSX.
Or was it just a typo? I also have in my account under 'Additive downloads (Updates)' exactly the same file name as my FS9 one. And shouldn't it be 'Additional downloads..' ;-)

Btw. on AVSIM was a nice scenery of that airport - don't know where it also can be downloaded ...
I'm pretty sure it's available of flightsim.com as I only downloaded and installed recently - so it couldn't've been from AVSIM.

The airports planned for FSX are a nice collection and i'm sure will be worthy of the effort and detail that goes into them. The cries however from some here about lack of Dutch airports for FS9 seems a bit daft as there are truly excellent versions available, including Schipol, and for free at the NL2000 site.
I'm not promoting them or saying one is better than the other, just the fact all the major airports mentioned here and a considerable number of GA airports and military ones are built and fully functional. Download V.3 as it's truly excellent

But not all of us want all of The Netherlands. Just an Aerosoft standard EHAM.

I'm just writing to say thank you very much for my new Tegal and Hamburg. When I buy a product, I buy it 'as is' and expect nothing more. To be given two free new versions is really very generous and I greatly appreciate this. Especially as an FS9'er ;-)
