  1. Gentlemen, the pleasure is all mine. I am lucky in that I get to work with such wonderful products on a daily basis. Thank you for watching. I hope you enjoy the aircraft!
  2. High Resolution Download: http://www.jaggyroadfilms.com/movies/commercial/flightsimulator/aerosoft_katana.zip http://www.jaggyroadfilms.com For more information head to http://www.aerosoft.com The DA20-100 Katana is proof of the old aviation saying that what looks good will fly good. It`s a sleek little aircraft made from composites. Intended to be a trainer aircraft it is now used by private pilots who enjoy the great performance and low cost per hour. This aircraft for FSX has one of the most impressive lists of features of any product we ever handled. It really makes you feel like owning the aircraft as you got to do the maintenance, cleaning and even decide what oil type to use. If any product made Microsoft slogan “As real as it gets” come true it got to be the Katana! If you owned a version of the previous Katana sold by Aerosoft you are entitled to an update for a reduced price. Just enter the serial key of your previous version during the order process.

  4. This is exciting news to me. I was stationed up in Alaska, and I spent a lot of time at this airport. Spent a lot of time sleeping at this airport too! Spent a lot of time DRINKING in the Cheers bar in this airport as well! Anyways, I digress. Some interesting memories for me and this airport. Glad to see her coming to FSX.
  5. Be sure to turn of the volume and dim the lights. I hope you enjoy the video, which has been 2 weeks in the making. 6. I decided to make sure we had enough nails, so I took it upon myself (with thanks to the US Army) to snag over ton of them. Overkill? Perhaps. .... those bunnies better be careful. We got nails to spare. On the way to Unterzeil. Slowing down on runway 24. Heading back home, over a car's weight worth of nails. If this isn't enough, you're on your own! From the cockpit. Yes, those warning lights are NORMAL. Finally! Approaching from the north for a vertical landing. Nice view of the Alps as well. Easy does it.... easy does it.... Alright boys, unload her. Please, wear leather gloves! You all owe me a beer. This was a rather heavy load, not to mention I was near max torque throughout the whole flight. I also noticed as I was walking towards the hanger a bunny entering one of the exhausts. Anyone up for some smoked rabbit?
  7. Name the aircraft, I'm your man About to take this flight. Wish me luck.
  8. Actually, I do know that the ramps were changed a bit... however, I offer a better proposal in order to better facilitate ramp use. Do one of the following: 1) Extend the length of the ramps, which has the effect of making the slope less steep or 2) Create a longer slope with no "curve," as as the access from the airpark. I will state however that when I filmed it in the video, I filmed it live.
  9. I worked on A-10s when I was in the USAF at Eielson AFB. The biggest thing I remember about them, and I will NEVER forget, is I loved them simply because they were not as loud as the F-16s! In all seriousness though, I spent a lot of time around these birds. The sound is indeed distinct, and in my opinion soothing. All the cockpits had two MFDs like described as well as a plethora of analog gauges. In all reality, the MFDs were just to upgrade the avionics to keep up with the more modern weapons available. The majority of these cockpits is still analog, and sitting in one you realize you're sitting in a 1970s/80s strike aircraft. Of note, one of the things I appreciated the most about A-10s was the difference in the pilots compared to the regular "fighter jocks." A typical F-16/F-15/ETC pilot tended to be a by the book, clean shaven, follow procedures A type personality. I found that the A-10 pilots I met liked to drink beer, had guts, and wouldn't be beyond getting in a fight. There is a completely different mentality when you are doing CAS, especially at the altitude these guys are operating at. I saw A-10 pilots risk everything to save men on the ground....
  10. What you are going to want is a program like WinchX. This program will take care of this for you, and costs nothing. It comes with the Aerosoft Discus as well should you decide to purchase that package, however it can be found for free. Just Google it mate
  11. Depending on the congestion of the airport, I do not see a significant issue with water traffic departing and approaching from the north. A decent controller should be able to keep spacing without issue and direct IFR traffic around such situations and advise VFR traffic of any impending or dangerous conditions. I do see "some" issue with restricting the direction of takeoff on the water runway, especially for a heavily loaded aircraft with a tailwind. It could become more of a risk factor than necessary and I suspect many exceptions would have to be made. Having flown on servers and acting as ATC in similar situations (crossing runways of differing lengths to suit particular traffic sizes), I never ran into dangerous situations unless someone was simply unskilled, or not paying attention, which is the case in almost every incident in the first place. I think however our largest concern would be the interaction between water traffic and gliders. A glider cannot divert or do an aborted landing/go around. Glider traffic should and will get first priority in such situations, whereas water traffic can be diverted. I could however see NOTAMS being posted during events like fly-ins where water traffic may change due to heavy congestion to help reduce workload for the controller(s). Further issues could also be reduced by restricting the hours of water operations. ... of course, all if this would change if the airport was not controlled 24/7, unless you are comfortable having people rely on the MK1 eyeball. In this case, there are two options: 1) Restrict water runway use to a specific direction during hours when there is not a controller or 2) as mentioned above disallow water operations during the hours when a controller is not present. ....Some food for thought.
  12. Alternatively, we don't need IVAO OR VATSIM, but rather just a server that people can log into.
  13. Glad to see that you enjoyed the video mate! You have come to a great community.
  14. Enjoy the video folks! (sorry if I am spamming). YouTube Link: High Resolution Download: http://www.jaggyroad...ndras_promo.zip

  16. Actually, I prefer this idea. It is common for a small airfield to have only one ILS, if any at all.... not that my opinion matters much
  17. I can confirm Andkozma that this works. I'm just curious about what the ramifications of doing so are. Either way, it allows me to film.
  18. I'll do this tomorrow when I wake up. I have to ask though, by renaming these files, what areas and things are affected?
  19. Ok, I confirmed as well. As soon as I disabled UTXE, all worked as designed. Frustrating. I really would like to have both products running.
