  1. Many thanks Stephen. Just what I was looking for. I have now subscribed to their change announcements. I have set my prohibited FIRs to: HAAA HCSM HHAA HLLL HSSX OAKX OIIX OPKR OPLR ORBB ORMM OSTT OYSC SVZM UKBV UKCV UKDV UKFV UKHV UKLV UKOV ZKKP
  2. Prohibited FIRs and UIRs may be specified in the PFPX.Configuration.Planning window. At present I use the following prohibited FIRs: DTTC, HCSM, HLLL, HSSS, OAKX, OSTT, OYSC, SVZM, UKDV, UKFV and ZKKP. I don't know whether these are valid. Is there a data source that I could use that would enable these parameters to be kept up to date?
  3. Hi JP, Agree completely. Most dogs have 4 legs, but not all animals with 4 legs are dogs!
  4. No, just no experience of Simbrief on long haul planning. PFPX, however, offers more realistic features, I believe, like forthcoming weather at waypoints and redispatch.
  5. I believe that there is no better planning tool currently available for pilots wishing to plan correctly for longer haul flights. PFPX continues to perform well even after all these years. With the coming of GFO, I shall continue to plan with PFPX for my long B777 flights. I accept that if a pilot wants to plan short haul flights then an alternative planning tool might be appropriate.
  6. Craig, Will you reduce your fleet size when GFO is able to maintain the fleet?
  7. Hi Craig, I had the same problems with my v2.04 installation. Many thanks to Stephen (again!) for the above solution. All working correctly now. A very merry Christmas to you and Stephen.
  8. Hi Jeff, I had a problem recently recovering access to AIRAC data which was resolved by Judith. Also received a seasons greetings from Judith and Christian. So there are 'signs of life'. A very happy and safe Christmas to you.
  9. When I uninstall v2.03 and install v2.04, my Server subscription shows as checked and valid until 03-DEC-2021, but when I enter the Coupon code I get a box stating that the code has already been used and won't allow me to proceed from Nav 1607. Argh!
  10. Hi Tom, Thanks for your prompt reply. I hope that I am not just 'losing it'! I have certainly run the AS_PFPZ_V204.exe installer. The PFPX.exe Properties>Details window also shows the File version and Productversion as 2.0.4.0. But the app shows Configuration>General as installed version 2.03 and Available version as 2.04 with the Automatically check for updates box checked. No update was automatically offered. What is happening? Kind regards, Richard
  11. Although Matthijs states that the new version 2/04 is now available, on installation, the version shows as 2.03. I am unsure whether there is a new version as the CFMU Route Validation option still appears.
  12. Perhaps too early to tell, but what changes are detected with v2.04?
  13. Hi Stephen. I hope that you are well. Many thanks for the updated FIR.dat. I have not been flying in recent months, expecting early delivery of PMDG GFO. But I feel that it won't be long now and then I can get back to flying my beloved B777. Kind regards, Richard
  14. Presumably Global Flight Operations will have to maintain aircraft fleets for us to fly. PFPX already has the ability for its users to set up fleets of aircraft for planning flights. Will there be an interface to ensure that the separate fleets are kept in synch so that we can check out an aircraft and then create its flight plan without having to try to keep manually maintained records ?
  15. It is great to see a forum started to provide us with an ever improving suite of aircraft performance specifications for PFPX.
  16. I have installed AS-Mega-Airport-Frankfurt-20_PROF_P3DV5_V2001.zip within P3Dv5. I purchased it from SimMarket. After installation I have Mega Airport Frankfurt 20 in the D:\Program Files (x86)>Aerosoft folder. P3Dv5 displays the scenery correctly but without SODE functionality. Placing the SODE folder is my problem. I have no folder for Frankfurt in my C:\Users\speed\Documents\Aerosoft. Can you be more explicit about placing the SODE folder please? Many thanks.
  17. Hi Oliver, After failing to understand the SODE installation instructions in the Readme.txt file, your instructions above have confused me even more 😧 During installation, like Michael, I installed into my D drive. I now have Mega Airport Frankfurt Professional V5 in the Program Files (x86)\aerosoft directory. I have not installed any of my many airport sceneries into my C drive. Why are Aerosoft setting a standard which I am reluctant to follow? I cannot find an EDDFConfigTool anywhere on my PC. Can you explain, in simple terms, how I can install the SODE program on my D drive? Thanks, Richard
  18. Thanks, Stephen. I was confused because I was looking within PFPX for the settings!
  19. I have the default Nav 1607 database of the base product. How do I enable PFPX to always use the current Navigraph airac cycle?
  20. I wonder how we can get a translation of the new manual. I agree that the current English manual is out of date and inadequate in some aspects. Cheers, Richard
  21. Hi Jianmin, Congratulations on making a Mandarin version manual for PFPX. Have you just translated the current English version with some adjustments, or a completely new one 'built from the ground up'? Would it be possible to get your manual reviewed by a Mandarin speaker? Kind regards, Richard
  22. With the forthcoming release of the new FSX, there is likely to be a requirement for alterations to PFPX. As a long time dependent on PFPX for its advanced capabilities, I am anxious that it continues to be a major player in my long-haul simming experiences. Are there any indications that I may continue to be supported by the product in the 'new world'?
  23. Stephen, I don't understand what you mean by 'to enter that in the advanced planner '. Where is this?
  24. Hi Stephen, Just added M628 to my restrictions as per NOTAM and then planned VIDP-OOMS. Route looks very good! Also CPDLC functionality, coming with GFO, looks timely with this NOTAM Regards, Richard
