When I bought Dublin for FSX it had many advanced features that made it a very attractive package. Clearly an awful lot of work had been put in by the developer. So it seems an awful waste of effort that the airport cannot be converted to work seamlessly with P3D v4. The underlying simulator - ESP - is the same for both FSX and P3D. So why wouldn't it be a relatively quick job to convert the scenery? A few years ago I bought Thessaloniki and the author / Aerosoft has provided a version that is 100% compatible with P3D v4. That is very much appreciated especially with no extra charge. My question is this. Do Aerosoft rely on the author of their airports to provide updates without any pressure or do you request authors to provide updates? I appreciate you have a huge amount of products but from a customer point of view it is disappointing to lose an airport that with a relatively small amount of effort could be made compatible. It benefits the author and Aerosoft too because new P3D customers can then buy the product. To have so many not available for P3D v4 is very disappointing.

Victoria Land and Transantarctic Mountains, Antarctica. Antarctica4XPlane - Part II I am proud to present Part II of my Antarctica Mesh Scenery Antarctica4XPlane. This second part covers the Victoria Land and the northern parts of the Transantarctic Mountains down to -81 degrees. More regions will follow in the future: I recommend you to follow the development blog to stay up to date. Antarctica4XPlane is close to its 4th anniversary. Years of joy, but also hard work on this challenging Antarctica Mesh Scenery. I'd like to continue the Antarctica4XPlane project to present further parts of the coldest and driest continent on our earth. However, that isn't possible without support. Thus, if you like the Antarctica4XPlane project and want to support the further development, then please visit the project's support-site and support the further development. Installation is simple: Unarchive the downloaded file and place the folder Antarctica4XPlane_2v4 into your Custom Scenery directory and add the following line near the bottom (below the research base sceneries) of your scenery_packs.ini: SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/Antarctica4XPlane_2v4/ Caution: If you are upgrading from an earlier version of Part II, then delete the directory of the old version before you start your simulator. I strongly recommend to switch on "runways follow terrain contours" and if you're already using X-Plane 11 then I recommend you my Antarctic Maps because X-Plane's default map doesn't cover the Antarctic Continent. To start your Antarctica Adventure with Antarctica4XPlane I suggest the Research Base Station Sceneries available on the project's website. First Sceneries are already available and hopefully many more will follow. Antarctica4XPlane comes exclusively for X-Plane, for free and personal use only, but without guarantee and warranty. Antarctica4XPlane is intended for flight simulation only and shall not be used for real life navigation or any other real life purposes. You are not allowed to modify, reverse-engineer or redistribute this scenery or to use any part of it in your own sceneries. Please contact me, if you have questions regarding the license or if you are interested in a cooperation or commercial applications. HAVE FUN. Dear Aerosoft. Big thanks for great scenery of Fareo Islands and Svaldbard for XP11. It would be lovely to see you make Iceland, Western Islands and Shetland/Orkney Islands (Scotland) in the same quality. Hope you will consider it. Thanks again.

There has been a minor change in the navdata format that can cause CTDs on entering the ORIG or DEST airports into the FMS. Unfortunately, this change was unavoidable. However, the problem can be solved easily: If you use Navigraph FMS data cycle 1811 rev 2 or newer, you will have to update your CRJ to version 1.2.2.3. To do this, start the Aerosoft Updater and enabled "Experimental Updates" in it's configuration window. Then restart the Updater and let it update the CRJ to the latest version.

Of course it wouldn't be good if this topic was only about the competing product, I absolutely get that. But on the other hand I feel it has the right to be mentioned. That would also give us the ability to compare and maybe give some reasons to go for this one instead of the competing one. If you're simply removing every mentioning of a competing product that wouldn't feel right, it's as if you're saying "our product sucks and the competing product is much better, but as long as we pretend the competing product doesn't exist people will think this is the only one and still buy it". Of course I know the Aerosoft product won't suck, specially when Jo Erlend will be the developer, but to be honest neither does the competing product. I recall the Kiruna preview topic where ORBX Kiruna was mentioned multiple times. That's a competing product as well, how is that any different from this one? Why is ORBX allowed to be mentioned as a competitor but Digital Design / JustSim not? After this has been answered, back on topic. Not that there is anything on topic, development hasn't even started yet. But still, we might discuss how good it will be and how it might be better than the competing product.

Anders, I agree with you. Perhaps if names were shown for down votes it would make people think a little more carefully before they act. I’ll say it again. I see no gain for having the downvote option. If someone fundamentally disagrees with a post they should post a reply instead of hiding behind a keyboard.

LG Hermann

Hello, thanks for uploading it. There is a small error in the livery. When the logo light is on (via the Cockpit Integ. Light Switch) the tail shows a blue greece flag. Maybe you can correct this when you have time. THANK YOU

The antarctic adventures for X-Plane continue! First of all, I'd like to thank Aerosoft for the offer to host my Antarctica4XPlane terrain mesh sceneries for X-Plane as well as the official "info, discussion and support"-forum. What is Antarctica4XPlane? A 3D visualization of the Antarctic continent, for use within the flight simulator X-Plane. It features a realistically shaped terrain model covered with a plausible texture set. The landscape is complemented with dozens of virtual research stations, base camps and airfields as an image of the real counterparts. A brief history! On 17th April 2015 Nino published the idea of a virtual Antarctica, searching for technical assistance. Inspired by Nino’s idea, I begun to develop first terrain models. In parallel, third-parties begun to develop virtual research stations, base camps and airfields. In December 2015 I was able to release part 1 of Antarctica4XPlane, covering the South Orkney Islands and the Antarctic Peninsula. Followed in June 2016 by the release of part 2 of Antarctica4XPlane, covering Victoria Land and the northern parts of the Transantarctic Mountains. Since then, the terrain mesh scenery packages received annual updates and were complemented with new content. In January 2019, part 3 of Antarctica4XPlane was released: This latest part covers Coats Land and the western parts of Queen Maud Land. Above links lead you to the download-options of the Antarctica4XPlane terrain meshes. Suitable add-ons (research stations, base camps and airfields) from third-parties, are listed on my website. I'm looking forward to your reviews and comments: Let's use this forum-thread for information, discussions and support around Antarctica4XPlane.
