yea quite frankly I am a little disappointed. other than the shadowing, and the aircraft modelling, it looks pretty much the same. but then again, theres still time. in case any one ever noticed, much of the early screens for fsx, and the ones shown when installing, looked alot like fs9 to me at least. so i would give them some time to change things. but i WILL be disappointed if it stays like that.

To be exact I pretty much hate it. I now have to click through several subforums to get to the part I want, I never had any problems with the old layout and can't understand the need for the new one. Anybody who thinks the same?

Avian, I thought after you edited your first post that you did find the paint kit from Aerosoft. So that explains why it didn't work for you. As you can see now these files are more convenient to use. I work always in layers, and I don't change the original layers it turn them off if not needed. Well put David. MS screwed the pooch when they divested themselves of the ACES team BEFORE they delivered on what was contractually promised with FSX - a DX10 game. For all the Preview feature, MS have not, and never will, deliver FSX in the format promised. Nor can they now deal with the numerous issues that remain even after the SP1/SP2 farce, even down to dealing with issues that were identified early in beta but swept under the carpet (Mathijs will probably have a knowing nod on that one...) For that reason - and others - `Flight` will not feature in my computing future for at least two years after it appears. As the old expression goes: "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me..." Looking forward to AFS2013 though. Fresh, new and not carrying any of the old `baggage`, perhaps the best thing to say about it is that it ISN'T Microsoft, which automatically jumps it to the top of my list...

Hallo Immanuell, versuchs mal so, ich habe als Beispiel den A330 mit dem "fltsim" Eintrag für die "KLM" aus MYTraffic 2010 genommen. In MyTraffic den Aircraftordner öffnen, Aircraft.cfg öffnen, suchen ob die Airline drin ist und den "fltsim" Eintrag mit slash (Schrägstrich) auskommentieren, slash vor die Klammer setzen, die Zeile wird jetzt nicht mehr als Programmanweisung gelesen, und das sieht dann so aus: //[fltsim.43] title=A330-200 Mypaint43 sim=A330 model=FSX-CF6 panel= sound= texture=My43 kb_checklists= kb_reference= atc_id=PH-AOA atc_id_color=0xffffffff atc_airline=KLM ATC_PARKING_TYPES=GATE,RAMP ATC_PARKING_CODES=KLM ui_manufacturer=MT Airbus ui_type=A330-200 ui_variation=KLM description=All new MyTraffic model atc_heavy=1 Vorteil dabei falls es Probleme gibt kann man, das schnell wieder rückgängig machen. Hello to all AS-Airbus X pilots, the overview in the downloadarea for the Airbus X liveries is not the best. So i created an overview-Thread sorted by Airlines. I made two sections. One for the A320 and one for the A321. By clicking to the link you jump directly to the downloadpage of the liverie-painter. I think, it is much more easyer to find a special liverie. Liebes Aerosoft-Support-Team, ich habe trotz der großartigen neuen Szenerie des Mega Airport München X leider zahlreiche Probleme mit der Bodenkontrolle des Flughafens. Sachverhalt: Wenn ich mit einem Airbus A 321 auf der RW 08 L wie von der ATC zugewiesen gelandet bin, die Landebahn verlassen habe und am Taxiway "A5" die "Position 1" (das ist eine Bezeichnung von mir, um den Sachverhalt zu verdeutlichen - siehe hierzu das eingefügte Bild) erreicht habe, dann erhalte ich die ATC-Anweisung "Rufen Sie die Bodenkontrolle auf 121.825". Nach Bestätigung und dem Wechsel auf diese Frequenz kommt nun jedoch im FS-Fenster der Hinweis "Keine zu übertragenden Nachrichten" (also kein Auswahlmenü mit u.a. "Rollen zum Gate anfordern"). Wenn ich dann auf dem Taxiway "A5" bis etwa zur "Position 2" weiterrolle, dann erhalte ich jetzt plötzlich eine neue ATC-Anweisung "Rufen Sie die Bodenkontrolle auf 123.100". Nach Bestätigung und dem Wechsel auf diese Frequenz kommt nun im FS-Fenster ein Auswahlmenü, das aber nur die beiden Auswahlmöglichkeiten "Rollen zum Parkbereich" und Rollen für Start - Optionen" enthält. Ich möchte aber doch an ein GATE !? Wenn ich dann auf dem Taxiway "M" bis etwa zur "Position 3" weiterrolle, dann erhalte ich eine neue ATC-Anweisung "Rufen Sie die Bodenkontrolle auf 121.825" (das hatten wir doch schon mal !?). Nach Bestätigung und dem Wechsel auf diese Frequenz kommt nun endlich und erstmals im FS-Fenster die u.a. Auswahlmöglichkeit "Rollen zum Gate anfordern". Erst jetzt ist alles "normal" und das Rollen zum zugewiesenen Gate verläuft dann problemlos. Hier das Bild zur Verdeutlichung des Sachverhalts: Meine AFCAD-Datei nach Installation des MAP München X ist: "...\Aerosoft\AFD\Scenery\AF2_EDDM_2010.BGL" vom 18.10.2010 14:54 Uhr. Ich nehme an, dass das die zutreffende ist (bin allerdings nicht sicher). Was ich noch beobachtet habe: Das "Follow Me-Fahrzeug" (AES) macht ganz kuriose Dinge (plötzlicher Stop, Umdrehen und Zurückfahren in die Richtung, aus der es gerade gekommen ist). Da kann man mit einem Airbus nicht mehr "folgen". Wähle ich im Freiflugmenü des FSX als Flughafen "EDDM" aus und dabei die "Aktive Start-/Landebahn", dann erscheint im Freiflug-Dialogfenster unter "Aktueller Standort" fälschlicherweise "Munich Airport Helipad". Der Flug wird dann z.B. an der RW 26 R gestartet. Im FS-Fenster erscheint dann "Option für XXX1 - Verkehr auf 122.900". Das verstehe ich nun gar nicht. Wir sind hier doch auf einem Mega Airport und nicht auf irgendeiner Wald- und Wiesen-Piste ! Also - was kann man tun! Klar ist, dass etwas getan werden muss! As long as you don't expect I put all my cards on the table I'm, glad to say something. First of all we all know very little about MS Flight and what we know is not very exiting. What we seen is even less exiting. The first video was a render that has nothing to do with the sim and the second badly done low res video showed nothing at all. I got no idea why MS is doing things as they are. They never show low res vids or renders for a game without saying its not from the actual game. So right now we not impressed and I doubt anybody is. It's weird marketing. So right now we see no reason to change our plans and we are working on Aerosoft Flight Simulator 2013. And for sure the graphic will have to be on par with what we think is the best now. And the best is without a doubt Rise of Flight!

Why would MS release a video on 360p format? Very strange. And why would they show something that is so.... so FS2004 like?

Hello Folks, I know this may sound unfair but we have had newbies volunteer to be beta testers and next thing we know a beta version is online for the whole world to download. Unless you have exceptional credentials that can be backed up we now normally pick people who have served this community and we do that by looking at the amount of posts they have made and the content in there post. Also saying that more and more developers are sticking with a group of testers once they have found a good group so making it harder to get into places.

By the way, while scrolling up and down through this post on my IPad, one of my finger-swipes managed to give liam727 a minus score! Would be nice if that was negated by a counter-score. Thanx!

Ok, everything about FS9 vs. FSX is said now. We will talk about Iceland when we'll announce it. No more FS9 vs FSX chat now here. You're free to talk about Iceland though.

Actually, Due to the subject I would. This is something I and many more have dreaded for years, since FSX first was released. The companies who GOT the knowledge about making proffesional sceneries for fs9 quits making them, because they think there is MORE money in FSX. WELL... IT IS NOT. 60-75 % of all flightsimmers are still running FS9, so either this is a tactical move from the addon-producers, or the addon-producers beeing pushed by Microsoft to make FSX a more attractive product, Aerosoft,PMDG and others should keep up the production for both sim-versions. Not desert us like scared chickens when things gets though. To blame the economics crisis is no option. Other and smaller comapnies are still making good buisniess,even ABACUS wich MANY simmers has hoped to see go under for years (Me included), so quit wining and start work. Dont waste time on arguing anymore against all us FS9ers. We got the best argumensts and u know it. I dont care ******* about if people are online or in my face. I always say what I mean anyhow. People should accept me for who i am. And if an Aerosoft representative WOULD meet me here in Trondheim, I would be glad, cause that would show that they take us FS9ers serious. To just quit on people shows in my opinion a lack of respect for its customers and that is not good for buisniess either..... So.... to finish this up... YES it is a double-edge-sword......

I'm a newbie and fins the plane a perfect step-up from default as intended. Could not be happier:) I have had no issues with flight quality and realism. So well worth it for me:)
