SIMstarter NG

Hi Peter, How do I include ASP3Dv5 in the Simstarter Autostart? ASP3D uses an extra start attribute to differentiate between P3dv5 and v4. So the current link on my desktop icon is: "...\asp3d.exe -simVersion=5" If I enter this link in the field for the AS folder, Simstarter is not finding ASP3D. I do have ASP3D installed on another client machine. May that be an issue? Do I need to use the Simstarter Client only and leave this field blank? Thanks, Michael

I installed the software per the manual as an Admin. Now I keep getting the error about the dll.xml file being "currupt". It then closes.... I have checked the whole dll.xml file and it is correct....... The first time after installing it did run saying there was an update in the support page. When i go to the support page and try to register my product it says my serial key is invalid so i cant get the update.... dll.xml

How to Update installed Airac 2014? I have ND P3D (P3DV4) Version 2.1.1 rev.14 it has Airac Ver 2014, can this be updated? I cannot see Simstarter on the Navigraph site?

Ich hatte letzte Woche testweise eine GTX 3080 installiert. Da diese allerdings nur 10 GB hatte und ich diverse Male DXGI hung Fehler hatte, baute ich wieder meine 2080ti mit 11 GB ein. Nun habe ich festgestellt, dass die 3080 noch immer in meiner cfg eingetragen ist. Zusätzlich trägt sich jetzt auch noch ein Jobschedulerwert von 364 in die cfg (HT ist bei mir im BIOS ausgeschaltet). Ich habe nu…

Hi, I have programmed some key commands within FSUIPC to be triggered when pushing one of my Joystick buttons. For example "shift+z" to show the FPS. However this works only until the next launch of P3D. I have 3 different config sets in Simstarter. Are they using their own specific FSUIPC profiles? Or what could be the reason, the settings are always lost? Thanks, Michael

Ich habe meine Szenerien in verschieden Regionen aufgeteilt. Wenn ich zum Beispiel Asien auswähle, bekomme ich Flughäfen in Alaska zur Auswahl. Auch wenn ich die Flughäfen neu durchsuchen lasse, bleibt es bei einer Auswahl, die gar nichts mit den aktiven Szenerien zu tun hat. Ich verwende mehrheitlich Add-on.xml für meine Addon Szenerien. Eigentlich sollte Simstarter alles Szenerien für die Datenbank der Flughäfen verwenden. Mir ist nicht klar, wie ich das bewerkstelligen kann. Hi- Just downloaded a Canadian scenery bundle which did not allow me to set the path, which has caused a problem. As attached you can see the warning dialog, followed by an empty error box followed by the two offending sceneries at the very bottom . SS won't let me move those two up as I can't get past the error correction box which is empty. Thanks, Mark

Hallo Leute, ich habe den SIMStarter NG P3D v.2.1.1 mit zwei Plattformen P3Dv4.5 und P3Dv50. Kann ich mit einem Startparameter die Auswahl der aktiven Plattform bestimmen. Z.B. "Pfad\SIMstarter NG P3D" /P3Dv5 In der Anleitung finde ich darüber nichts, oder übersehe es total, was auf das gleiche rauskommt. Ahoj -Uwe

SimStarter NG is not working with the new P3Dv5.1. I suppose that you know this but I have not seen a new update. It was working fine in P3Dv5.o with the update that I paid for. Do we need to buy another update? Tom Johnson

Where exactly do I get the latest update from. Auto installer will not update this time. Can't find it in Aerosoft support and simmarket doesnt seem to help much. Graham

Hello, In June 2019 I bought Simstarter NG (version 19215) for my P3d 4.5 here at Aerosoft. After being away from flightsimming for a while, I installed my P3D 4.5 again and looked for things to update. I found out that Simstarter NG is not available anymore and the latest version is now called Simstarter NG P3D. There is no option to update to this new version. Do I have to buy this new version and pay the full price again? Regards, Mart

Ich habe im P3Dv5HF1 Miami von LatinVFR installiert und nun erscheint beim Start des Simstarters die Fehlermeldung: Critical Error: der Objektverweis wurde nicht auf eine Objektinstanz festgelegt. Es folgt der Verweis auf die Addon.xml. Die Szenerie wird dargestellt. Vielen Dank Joachim

good evening everyone In February 2020 I installed the version for P3D of SimStarter, I own P3D V4 and V5. Everything was working normally. This fall I updated my P3D to version V5.1 and since SimStarter no longer works. When launching a small window opens mentioning the version of SimStarter (v.2.0.6) and asking me to choose the simulator platform, but no choice is offered, so I cannot choose any simulator and continue the loading of SimStarter. I have tried several times to uninstall this software and reinstall it to the default path, but nothing changes. I learned that an update for P3D V5.1 has been around for a few days. Hallo, ich habe das selbe Problem wie in diesem Beitrag. Mit dem Unterschied, dass ich den Simstarter seit Ewigkeiten benutze und der nun vom einen auf den anderen Start plötzlich diese Meldung raus haut. Leider kann ich dann keine Plattform wählen. Ich benutze den P3Dv4.4. Die "update" Zeile in der .ini ist schon vorher voranden gewesen. +++Nachtrag: Anscheinend ist meine "prepar3d.exe" einfach gelöscht!? Hallo! Im Konfigurationsmanager gibt es die Einstellung "Enhanced Atmospherics(Beta)". Diese Einstellung setzt in der Prepar3d.cfg allerdings nur den Eintrag: VolumetricClouds=0/1 Um Enhanced Atmospherics abschalten zu können, wird eigentlich dieser Eintrag benötigt: EnhancedAtmospherics=0/1 Ist hierzu noch ein Update geplant? Gebe ich im obersten Feld für die Namenssuche den ersten Buchstaben ein, zum Beispiel L für Lukla, springt der Cursor direkt ins Feld für den ICAO code. Dort wäre aber V von Nöten für VNLK. Da ich den Code ja nicht weiss, will ich aber Lukla schreiben. Es geht dann, wenn man den Cursor wieder zurück ins entsprechende Feld setzt. P3D5.1 hat das übrigens cool gelöst. Dort ist es mittlerweile egal, was man eingibt. Er findet es. Danach, wenn der Flugplatz gefunden ist, lässt einem das Programm allein. Es möchte zwar eine Startposition, aber man wird erst dazu aufgefordert, wenn man die Enter Taste drückt. Die Führung des Users könnte hier verbessert werden. …

Hello everyone! I just purchased Simstarter NG P3D to use with my installed version of Prepar3D v5, recently updated to v5.1. Now, Simstarter NG P3D and P3D v5.1 are both installed on the C: drive, along with many other (also Aerosoft) addons. When launching Simstarter NG however, I receive following error message: Checking the registry, everything seems to be fine. Am I missing something else? Thanks for your help! Julian

Recently my startup is delayed while the program tries to start something. After about two minutes an "operation timed out" message appears before the program starts normally. Any ideas what is timing out?

Hi there, When starting SIMstarter NG P3d using flight control center I always find my starting position wrong. It's always starting up as a F35A at Randolph AFB. Even though I've saved my location in LDDU gate 10 starting plane the Alabeo Extra300S it's always starting with the F35A There was someone earlier this month having the same problem who got it solved but never mentioned how he solved it and the topic is now locked. Where can i down load it from? The version on Aerosoft download page is still 2.0.6.34. Im a first time users and 2.0.6.34 does not work with 5.1. thanks!

Hi there. Updated P3Dv5 to latest update yesterday and now find that when I start simstarter the P3Dv5 is missing from Select platform window. Any idea how to solve this or do I need to re-install Simstarter again? Regards Leo de Haan

Hi guys, it seems I got duplicate issues with ORBX that’s showing up in sim starter every time I launch it. I select the files and remove them but they still keep coming back. Please see my attached pic. Any help is greatly appreciated this is V4.5 with Sceneries installed with ORBX Central. Thanks
