Hello, First, let me congratulate you on your commercial release! I was all too happy to purchase the new version, and it does not disappoint. Well done! As a tester over at ORBX, I recommended the older SimStarter package to all users... I will be happy to continue to do so. I have two features that I think would really add a lot of value: 1. FTX Vector Profile loader. I'm not sure of the method that FTX vector uses, but many users (as recommended by ORBX themselves) have created specific profiles within the FTX Vector Configurator. I have many aircraft add-ons that show just fine in the list of aircraft in SIMstarter. Unfortunately, two of my favourite aircraft do not show. These are the Realair Turbo Duke V2 and the RealAir Legacy V2. These two aircraft are installed outside of the P3D folder and are pathed within Prepar3D.cfg as follows:- SimObjectPaths.0=H:\Progs\RealAir\Turbine Duke V2 P3D3\SimObjects\Airplanes SimObjectPaths.1=H:\Progs\RealAir\Legacy V2 P3D3\SimObjects\Airplanes How would I go about having thses two aircraft show in the list? Using (from the menu) Tools\Refresh Aircraftslist does not help. Regards Kym

Hallo Peter, habe den SimStarter nun installiert, konfiguriert und bin begeistert. Bei den Szenerie ConfigSets sind aber jetzt Fragen aufgetaucht. Ich habe sehr viele Orbx Szenerien installiert und möchte nun einzelne Regions (NA/Europe usw.) zusammenfassen. Das Problem ist, dass in FTX Central 2 bei der Einstellung "Global" die Einträge für die Regions nicht aufscheinen (nur bei Hybrid, NA/Europe/Oceania). Um im Simstarter nun für den ScenerySet Manager z. B. alle NA oder Europe Profile zu erstellen, muss ich vorher über FTX Central 2 die Einstellung vornehmen, damit diese Einträge angezeigt werden (z. b. auf den Hybrid Modus schalten). Je nac…

Hallo zusammen, bin gerade dabei, eine neues ConfigSet für die PMDG 11 anzulegen. Folgendes Problem bei "Grafik": im Konfigmanager gibt es die Bezeichnung Breiter Blick (WildeView) sowie Vertikaler Sync (ForceFullScreenSync und Luftfahrzeug) Im FSX unter den Grafikeinstellungen finde ich diese KonfigMöglichkeiten aber nicht; dafür vermisse ich die Postitonen "Filtern und Antialiaing", im ConfigManager. Hi reading the presentation datasheet , i was expecting for a great and secured tool , easy to use , but after a first usage , i was very very disappointed, i tried to set a profile to fly in Europe , so i selected all my european sceneries (mesh, landclass , airports , etc...) + the basic set of sceneries of P3D. the result was very disastrous in terme of graphic ,water replaced by Ground texture, airport below ground level, , airports below basic P3D bgl , other airports below mesh....!!!! looking at the scenery.cfg i discovered that all priorities of my scenery.cfg was unsorted creating the fact that i was unable to fly in P3D (some P3D basic scener…

I have just purchased this product and proceded to configure a fresh FSX Sp2 install. I started the program and set all my file directories and now I get this message every time I start SIMstarter NG: In the notepad you can see my exe.xml file. As I said its a fresh install with ASN, Carenado Phenom 300 and a couple PMDG products installed. Whats wrong? Why will it not let me start de program? Regards, Daniel.

I have tried numerous times to download the free version so that I can get the client. However, I keep getting a message stating that the file download was interrupted, or it states it is finished but the folder is empty. I tried downloading both the ZIP file and the EXE file and I can not completely download. IS there a way you put the NG Client in the downloads section of this forum?

Just purchased SIMStarter - first impressions are that I'm impressed. Two quick questions: In "main settings > situation" I only see a 12 hour clock when choosing the date and time of the flight. There's no indication whether the time shown is AM or PM! Am I missing something? I use ORBX scenery and have been using FTX Central 2 to manage this. Does this mean that in "Extended Settings > ORBX" I should choose "Use ORBX FTX Central 2 Dialog" and that SimStarter cannot manage my ORBX settings? Thanks in advance. Dominic

Hi there, Just purchased SIMstarter NG and have just installed it with disappointment I have Prepar3D3.1 and FSX-SE Installed on Windows 10 and both are rock solid. I have installed the program to a folder on my 1TB Flight SSD and to a path H:\Progs\SIMstarter NG (I've also tried to reinstall to the default location but no difference) When I start SIMstarter NG I get the startup screen and see "Please Select Platform" where I'm guessing I should see a drop-down selection but there is no drop-down selection so I can't select a platform. Hello Peter, I just bought Simstarter NG. It’s a great tool and highly recommended. Nevertheless I have a feature request for you. Please extend your CleanDesk Function and allow the execution of a few batch files. Why? I use a batch file (executed with admin rights) before starting P3D in order to close certain services and processes. The reason is, I do not want Adobe, Apple, Acronis, Asus and so on calling home and requesting processor power while I am in midst of a final approach. Hallo, Habe ein kleines Problem mit den Google-Earth-Export-Funktionen. Ich schließe dieselben Pfade vom Export aus wie in der Freeware-Version, nur scheint dies beim NG wirkungslos zu sein, es erscheinen nach wie vor alle Airports in Google Earth.

Hallo miteinander Habe seit heute SIMstarter NG in Betrieb. Tolles Tool, auch schon in der Freeware-Version. Nur stelle ich zwei merkwürdige Dinge fest. Mit dem neuen SIMstarter NG erscheint bei mir immer noch ein Splashscreen des alten SIMstarter (das mit der Nummer 5). Obwohl die Splashscreen von NG sehen ganz anders aus. Merkwürdig! Scheint als würden auf meinem System noch Leichenteile des alten SIMstarter rumliegen, aber ich habe es vollkommen deinstalliert. Nun zu meinem wirklichen Problem: Die Einstellungen für die Auflösung und den Filter werden in der fsx.cfg ständig überschrieben bzw. ein zweiter Eintrag hinzugefügt. Also ich …

If I select 'load a saved situation' for a profile, the loading of the scenery I.e terrain data, objects etc takes a very very long time (> 4 Mins) with the progress bar creeping along. If I load to the welcome screen and select the saved flight through the UI it will load in less than 30secs. The only the difference between these starts is the de-selection of load saved situation. I noticed this behaviour with the last couple of versions of the Freeware version with 'Jumpstart' but since I've purchased a commercial product.... I can't think why these methods would produce such different results?

Is there any way to define the state the aircraft will be in when I load a flight with a profile. I tend to only fly piston / turbine twins - and whenever I load an aircraft the left engine is always running along with some of the avionics. Can I load "cold and dark" with simstarter NG? Thanks

Hallo zusammen, erstmal vielen Dank für das Update von SIMStarter - ich dachte zunächst es hätte nur eine neue Oberfläche bekommen aber es sind tatsächlich viele nützliche Funktionen hinzugekommen! Nun zu meinem Problem: Wenn ich in einem Profil die Funktion "Situationseinstellungen anpassen" wähle und meine Einstellungen (Aircraft, Location, etc.) mache und dann starte, crasht Prepar3D unmittelbar nach dem Ladescreen. Es kommt kurz die Mitteilung "Loading AI Traffic" (oder ähnlich), danach schließt sich das Startfenster und Prepar3D startet nicht. Es gibt zu diesem Problem zwei Topics bei Prepar, ich weiß allerdings nicht ob das mitei…

Hallo, ich wollte einen neuen Profil anlegen, aber dieser erscheint immer zweimal. wenn ich dann einer der beiden lösche, sind beide weg, Wie kann ich dieses Problem lösen?

Pero, where is the location of the NG Client ? I do not see it in any of the folders ? Starting to get the hang of the new interface. I realize now that you need to make the changes in the Configuration and then reference the config you want from the profile. Slightly different from the freeware version.

Just a new threat because the HowTo's should be without comments.

Has SimStarter NG been released? I was under the impression release was imminent ?
