Hi I had the latest version installed and have unistalled. When I try and re-install the installer does not accept my email address and or the registration code. I downloaded again from my account V2.4.1.52 entered my email address and then the serial but get rejected each time? I have attached recent logs. The reason for uninstalling was the aircraft livery editor stopped working. Regards Terry SIMstarter NG.log

Hi Guys, I was using SimStarter P3D NG with my Prepar3D v4. I now decided to switch to v5 whilst retaining my v4 installation. Can SimStarter handle multiple Simulators? Whilst going through the settings, I can only define paths for one Sim, which is my v4 at the moment. Where/How can I add a completely new simulator (v5) to be handled and managed by SimStarter additionally? Thanks a lot for any advice and best wishes.

PMDG recommends that the simulator should be started with some simple default aircraft and to load the PMDG aircraft only when the sim is running. This is good advice as otherwise a CTD might happen anytime during the flight (been there, done that). Therefore, I have configured all my PMDG profiles with the Maule as the chosen aircraft. After completing a flight, the PMDG aircraft appears in the "parked aircraft" list, but it seems not to be possible to start a new flight from that stored GPS position unless the PMDG aircraft is selected in the profile (which I don't want to do for above reasons). What to do in this case? Thanks in advance …

Hi Peter, I suddenly have the following problem. When starting the software, first a small empty windows displays on the desktop and then automatically the program is sent to the task bar. If I click on that small program window I get a message that the program is already running e. g. currently I cannot use SimStarter. In the log-file (see attachment) it states that the program is running properly. Since last time running the program without any problems I only updated the NVidia driver to 511.23 as well as Navigraph SimLink to version 1.1.24.0118. Changing back the NVidia driver to the previous version as well as disabling SimLink does not change…

English (see german below) SIMstarter NG P3D gets with version 2.4.0 a new feature "Parked Aircraft". With this feature the position of the aircraft is saved after a flight. You can display the position of your aircraft in GoogleEarth or start a flight with a saved aircraft at the position where you "parked" the aircraft. In addition, "parked aircraft" that are no longer needed can be deleted. So you can park your fleet at different places in the world and always get back on and fly again. Your position will be saved when either the aircraft was airborn and all engines are shut down or the aircraft is on the ground, the engines ha…

Running on an I7-11700K with all cores and HT enabled. I noticed that if I start P3D v5.3H1+update via Simstarter NG in the config file the P3DCoreAffinityMask gets changed to 255 (8 cores only) although the ConfigSet is setup for all 16 cores (65535). Any ideas, any feedback is greatly appreciated. This happens only when starting P3D via SimstarterNG. Thank you, Mike

Hi This is a brilliant tool in the package. However, I have recently run it (after running makerwys first) and notice that some of my airports are missing on the map. I ran it with the option to include all scenery (not just the ones currently enabled). I have over 300 airports so it's not easy to work out a pattern to try to establish the ones not showing. However I strongly suspect that it's all the airports that use the xml method rather than scenery.cfg. Could you please explain the logic of how this works and if there is anything I can do to fix this?

@Capt. PERO, The latest version of P3D v5.3 has a new section in the prepar3d.cfg for [JobScheduler]. This allows P3D to be assigned to specific cores acccording to the CPU used. The recommendation from Rob Ainscough is to keep the cores P3D uses away from the OS. Third party executables should also be assigned to separate core(s) and I use SimStarterNG Run section to do this. I have assigned things as follows to my i7-8086K 6 core CPU without HT enabled... Core 0 - OS Cores 1-4 - P3D Core 5 - Third-party programs such as ASP3D, ChasePlane, LittleNavConnect, Aivlasoft EFB Server. This works very well but there is one area…

I am not able to get SimstarterNG to run P3d. After selecting the correct path in SimstarterNG - Program settings, SimstarterNG is still having difficulties running the sim and gives an error message, "cannot run program - File does not exist." I can assure you, the file exist and the sim plays fine if just run P3d.exe. I am not sure where the problem lies but it is clear that it is not looking at the correct directory. Perhaps someone here can help. Thanks Troy

Hi Captain Pero, I have two problems, I hope you at least have the solution for one problem. I bought Simstarter NG yesterday for my Prepar3Dv4.5. After entering the installation as admin and entering the username and serial number, the program install the update zipfile but I got this message "Unable to unzip the dowload file. Please check Firewall setting". The Firewall is disabled but the message keeps coming. That was the first problem. Started without an update, I immediately got the message "No Aircrafts foun! Sim starter NG terminate." If look in Settings.ini I found this. [SIMOBJECTS] searchFolders=C:\PROGRAM FILES (X86)\12BPILOT\SODE\P3DV4\..\data\SimObje…

Hi Peter - Have been happily using SIMstarter NG P3D for several years with both P3D4.5 and P3D5.1. It is an amazing tool! I'd set SimCoinfigBackupManager to create both a BackupSet(DEFAU LT) after each start, and a second - somewhat larger- weekly backup set. It's been running along fine for more than a year. But I've noticed that when I look at the backus using the Restore/delete Backup tab window, the "Created" date on many of my backup files created is blank. I have to select one and use the "Show Backup Log" to determine what the backup date was. On some other backups, the "Created" date appears in dd/mm/yyyy format, so they don't sort in chronol…

P3D v5.3. On a recent flight I noticed the rising moon was way too large. Looking at suneffect.cfg in C:\ProgramData\LM\P3Dv5 its current size is 2072 compared to 900 for the sun. Given they are very close in their apparent size I edited that file and changed the moon size to 900. Saved and exited. Loaded P3D via SimStarterNG and after closing it I checked the suneffect.cfg and it's changed back to the original 2072. Does SimStarterNG store this somewhere? I can't find where?
