SIMstarter NG

Hello Capt Pero, I'll be buying a new computer in a few months and will be installing P3Dv5.3HF2 on it together with all my purchased scenery and aircraft. As a long time user of SimStarterNG that will also be reinstalled but I was wondering if I could save some time by exporting all my settings on the old computer and importing them on the new one. Install path for P3Dv5 will be identical as will my Windows username.

Great start with SIMstarter now configured to launch P3D, Oi4FS for the FMC, SPAD.next for the radio panel, FSC TQ for the TQ. Also have set it to use the /multichannel parameter on launch. However, when I check the box for Use different situation settings - SIMstarter is putting the -fxml option after the /multichannel resulting in an error. Is there are way to do this differently or is there a fix for it? Hi, Some help, please. Recently had to delete my scenery.cfg file (P3DV5.3). Once restarted, the Simstarter is giving me the warning shown in the attached pictures. It does not indicate exactly where the add.on xml is. I am reluctant to start deleting files for obvious reasons. Any help welcomed. I need to delete the 'errors' to see the scenery manager screen with the add ons. Regards, Keith

Hallo, habe da mal eine kurze Frage zur 'Aircraft Dropdown Liste' Vielleicht habe ich es einfach übersehen: Gibt es eine Möglichkeit nach bestimmten Flugzeugen zu suchen ? Meine Liste ist nämlich inzwischen ziemlich lang geworden und die Suche nach dem gewünschten airplane ist leider sehr mühsam - über die dropdownliste ewig zu scrollen, um das richtige Flugzeug zu finden ! Die Sortierreihenfolge habe ich leider immer noch nicht ganz verstanden ?! Sollte es nochmals ein update geben (?!) würde ich so eine Suchfunktion wirklich sehr begrüßen 😉 lg ggerolamo

Thanx for explaining that I need to pay a small upgrade cost for P3D v5. Well worth it ! As there is now a more complex AM system with v5 involving amendments to the .cfg file, how do we ensure that SimstarterNG does not change this ? It appears that default is to use ALL cores. Can it be set so it doesn't affect or alter the AM set in the config file. Thnx

So what are we supposed to do when we just get the blank opening screen ? It only updates to version 1.9.6.2 I believe we require version 2.3.0 Rev 6. How can I obtain this version please ?

As title after PC rebuild. P3Dv5.3 HF2 installed and working. Tried the various fixes suggested on this forum to no avail. Just being asked to redownload the latest version from source. Sadly the version on Simmarket to re-download where I purchased it is too old and takes me back to the start of the whole 'not recognising sim version' loop. Please tell me where I can download the latest version that will self update. Thank you

Hi all, out of the sudden and not always but sometimes my P3D is not starting through simstarter. The little window which shows the loading progress of P3D is just blank. Hi, I thought I would try to start using SS to organize my scenery by state (US). Got a good start, but after adding a new airport via ORBX, when opening the scenery manager, ORBX destroyed the order by using their preferred method. Is there a way to prevent this from happening, or are groups a no-go with ORBX? Thanks, Mark

After re-installing P3dv5.3, SIMstarter NG P3D woundn't start. And yes, the 'checkUpdates=True' line is there in the SIMstarter NG Settings.ini file. What can I do to fix the problem? SIMstarter NG Settings.ini

Since my previous topic was closed and I can't ask a mod via DM if the topic could be re-opened, I'd like to ask for help one more time - I didn't respond earlier since I was down with a bad stomach flu. I've been using Simstarter NG P3D to start situations with the PMDG 737, 747 and 777 successfully in my previous install on Windows 10. On Windows 11 (and thus a complete reinstall) it's not quite working, P3D goes in the background and the sim never fully loads. Using a default aircraft like the C130 (and the same settings overall) it is working. Not at all saying it's Simstarter, but I am experiencing behaviour with it that I didn't have before. Servus, also ich habe eben erst gelesen, dass es eine neue Version von Simstarter gibt und durch Zufall, dass der Upgrade-Preis nur begrenzt ist. Das ist ja mal wirklich eine Unverschämtheit, dass das nur begrenzt gültig war/ist. Da haben die Leute die Arschkarte gezogen, die davon nicht gleich was mitbekommen haben und jetzt noch einmal den vollen Preis bezahlen können? Das werde ich sicherlich nicht tun. Dann bleibt eben auf eurem Mist sitzen und es gibt genug schlaue Leute, die den vollen Preis bezahlen, obwohl eine ältere Version bereits vorhanden ist. Greetings, I have been using Simstarter NG P3D for quite a while now, I love all the options we have (like starting applications according to offline/online flying etc.). Last weekend I have upgraded my sim PC: I installed a new mainboard + CPU + NVMe SSD. I installed Windows 11. I installed P3D v5.3 HF2. I have reinstalled all other stuff from scratch too, including Simstarter. For Simstarter, I copied over the data folder with my settings. I have installed al add-ons and aircraft as I had before. PMDG aircraft can be loaded succesfully from the P3D scenario window, no problem. I am having problem…

Hallo, ich habe verschiedene Axis- und Key-Zuordnungen für unterschiedliche Flugzeuge im P3D 5.3 definiert, die ich je nach Flugzeug einsetze. Gibt es eine Möglichkeit, diese Sets im SIMstarter jeweils einem Profil zuzuordnen oder muss ich wie bisher im Scenario-Startup-Screen das jeweilige Control-Set laden, bevor ich den Flug starte? Hi Peter - Have been running SimstarterNG P3D with two platforms (P3D4.5 and P3D5.1) for two years. Decided it is now time to uninstall P3D4.5. Will SimStarterNG P3D automatically detect my removal of P3D4.5 and delete the SimStarter P3D4.5 startup option and related P3D4.5 platform files, etc. Or are there specific steps I need to take? Couldn't find anything in the manual or on here about it - so thought I should ask! Chuck O

Hi, Not sure if this even a fixable issue. If I start P3D with a saved flight and change to a different aircraft using Situation -> Starting aircraft, the aircraft in the P3D logbook Analysis -> Pilot Record is still logging under the original aircraft saved with the flight. Hello, I have purchased the new version for P3D v53 but I cannot start the app which is stuck on the first window where the platform dropdown list is empty... Therefore there is no way for the app to o ahead... Any idea to help me goin forward? Regards Brunp

I bought SimstarterNG on Order Date: 2016-05-01 08:12:33. Is version 2 a new program or is the one I downloaded v.1.9.6 updated all the time? I run the installer on P3Dv5.3 and I cannot select the platform. Hope someone can help. Thanks, Nico

Why is the Scenery Manager Module marking the below entries as duplicative? Am on latest 5.3 and SimStarter. Thanks!
