Kannst du mir vielleicht sagen wieso ich trotz 5.4  Auswahl keine Plattform Auswahl im Beginn Menu habe?

Muss ich irgendwo noch etwas löschen?

Oder kann ich Simstarter "zwingen" mit einer bestimmten Plattform zu starten?

I do this occasionally to check things so don't need all the extra programs running that SSNG gives me.

But here's the mystery and it's got me beat. If I start P3D from its desktop shortcut (so no SimStarterNG) the sim will load but then the problems start. Specifically,,,

1) Under the Add-ons menu item the Check SODE DLL connection shows no green banner and message.

2) FSDT Addon Manager interface doesn't show.

3) ChasePlane internal views work but external ones don't. The top of the ChasePlane display turns a bright green.

4) I can see AIG Ai aircraft at the airport and my lua script shows there are 12 on the ground. But Ai Companion doesn't show any aircraft. But right-clicking the P3D interface I can select Ai aircraft and switch to them.

All this points to SimConnect being broken. But why does it work fine when launched via SimStarterNG but not when launched independently? As far as I can establish all the DLLs, EXEs and entries in both add-ons.cfg are runnning and are identical to the entries in those parts of SimStarterNG.

Finally, when I close P3D it doesn't close. It hangs and has to be terminated. Programs that launched via exe.xml have to be manually terminated.

Sometimes I just want to check something quickly hence why I run P3D independently.

I appreciate this is not a SSNG problem but there must be those who occasionally run P3D directly. Does the same happen to you?

I tried a repair of P3Dv5, then reinstalled SimstarterNG, but this didn't help. I had deleted some empty directories for P3Dv2, which I don't have installed. Should not have deleted v5 things. What is SimstarterNG missing? How can I repair it?

I'm getting this error when launching SSNG. I can't resolve it despite a reinstall.

It appears connected to the Run module but I've disabled all except Prepar3d.exe

Help please!

Ich wollte mal "vorsichtig" fragen wie warscheinlich ein Update auf den P3DV6 ist (zumal es ja schon wieder ein Patch gegeben hat).

Mußte mein Jeehell verzeichnis löschen und neu installieren.

Leider findet dein Simstarter den Airbus von Jeehell nicht mehr!

I've installed SimStarterNG and Active Sky P3D on a new computer running P3D v5.3HF2.

In the Extended Settings Active Sky options the ActiveSky (ASP3D) ConFig1 Set is selected. In the General section of that screen Live is the preferred option.

But when ASP3D is launched it sets the Historical option. If I run ASP3D independently it does set the option to Live. Why won't it work via SSNG?

After having upgraded my PC with a new mainboard and new CPU, which now runs with 24 Cores (i9-13900k), I am currently making a fresh reinstall of Windows and all Simulator software.

Within Simstarter, when I want to edit the Runtime configsets, an error message appears: "unable to read system cores". After that I can continue editiing the profiles, but when I want to use the button "use all Cores" the app crashes: "System.OverflowException: Die arithmetische Operation hat einen Überlauf verursacht bei Microsoft.VisualBasic.CompilerServices.Conversions.ToInteger(String Value)"

I'm setting up AS in the config  runset manager.

When I run SS, I get the AS dialog box asking whether I want to run V4 or V5. A long ways back I found a parameter used by someone to do this but cannot find it.

Any suggestions appreciated.

All my Add-On scenarios show up fine in the Add-on ConfigSet and are also reflected in the Scenery ConfigSets, with the exception of my ORBX scenarios. They refuse to show up in the Scenery ConfigSets. However, the ORBX libraries do appear (OpenLC, Libraries, etc).

Am I missing something?

I've disabled DiffManager in settings. In order to make changes to prepar3d.cfg, do I do that In SimStarter directly as usual or can I make the changes in the sim and just import the .cfg into SimStarter?

First of all, great piece of work!

Since using SimStarter NG P3D, each time I set "Use system time for Default Scenario" in P3D v5.4, somehow it's reset to default showing a 2020 date. Inside SIMstarter, in SimConfigSet menu, it shows a (Set in Fligt Control Center), even this option is set to "ON".

Question 1: where is the "Flight Control Center located"?  

Question 2: once simstarter is running, should I close it (avoidin RAM usage) or just live it running on the back?

Since I am very busy at work right now, I can't manage to create a supported release. Therefore I plan to create an unsupported alpha scheme with which you should be able to start P3Dv5.4.

An official release will unfortunately take a few weeks due to holidays and work.

German:

da ich beruflich gerade stark eingespannt bin, schaffe ich es nicht ein supported release zu erstellen. Daher plane ich, ein unsupportes Alpha Schema mit dem man P3Dv5.4 starten können sollte.

Ein offizielles Release wird leider einige Wochen dauern.

2.2.6 PARKED AIRCRAFT 

SIMstarter NG P3D saves the position of each aircraft when it was airborne 

and all engines are switched off (at gate/parking). A note appears in the 

simulator window that the position has been saved. 

I want simply save one of the default aircraft to be my default flight in order to load the A2A Bonanza or the Blackbird KA350i.

I use EA with volumetric clouds at ZERO, slider at full left. Yesterday I could start P3D from SS, but not today and I opened another post to ask why. So I started the simulator without SS, and for my surprise, as soon as I was airborne, I saw that the clouds were somewhat different. So I went to options and saw the EA on, and the volumetric clouds slider in the MIDDLE. 

I ask you please, if this is something this software really does, because I didn't read about that in the manual, as such feature is unacceptable for me. And I would like to know how I retrieve my old display configuration. 
 

Earlier today, I was seriously thinking about a refund, first because yesterday, with almost 2 hours flying, I received my first CTD in V5.4, in a region I fly every week. The flight was started by SS. Second, because today I couldn't start the simulator with this software. 
 

I really hope I'm wrong. I thought I bought program starter, not an AI program.

I am very pleased that the development of PREPAR3D continues with version 6. If the SIMstarter will be compatible to v6 I can't say at the moment. This is mainly due to my availability for customization. How the new version should look then commercially, I must decide then.

Fact is unfortunately that the user numbers for PREPAR3D go strongly downward and so it is also with the SIMstarter.

If something changes in the current status, I will inform you here.

Es freut mich sehr, dass die Entwicklung von PREPAR3D mit der Version 6 weiter geht. Ob der SIMstarter kompatibel zu v6 wird kann ich aktuell noch nicht sagen. Das liegt vor allem an meiner Verfügbarkeit zur Anpassung. Wie die neue Version dann kommerziell aussehen soll, muss ich dann entscheiden.

Fakt ist leider, dass die Nutzerzahlen für PREPAR3D stark nach unten gehen und so ist es auch mit dem SIMstarter.

Falls sich am aktuellen Status etwas ändert, werde ich Euch hier informieren.

So far I used SimStarter NG for my older my older P3DV4.4 installation (for some unknown reasons I was not able to update to 4.5 ...). Now, I finally installed P3DV5.4 and purchased the corresponding SimStarter version. After installation it opens the Update Manager. The update also seems to work, but when SimStarter starts up I only get a small window saying "Please select platform" but there is option to choose and no way to get SimStarter start up at all.

I found some tip on this platform to add line in the simstarter .ini file, but it doesn't help. My .ini file has only two lines (platformCount and languageFile). Adding a line "checkUpdates=True" does not solve the problem either, as the latest version is installed already.

Additional Info: Windows 10, P3DV5.4 (besides P3DV4.4 on the same computer, using SimStarter NG)

Who can help?

I'll be buying a new computer in a few months and will be installing P3Dv5.3HF2 on it together with all my purchased scenery and aircraft.

As a long time user of SimStarterNG that will also be reinstalled but I was wondering if I could save some time by exporting all my settings on the old computer and importing them on the new one. Install path for P3Dv5 will be identical as will my Windows username.

Also attached latest log zip.

How can I fix this start up isue please?
