Is there a way to zoom the camera in or out?

Is there a way to program the "Cycle Targets" command to my HOTAS or must it be accessed from the popup window?

Hi, I've never flown an F-14 or any fighter jet, only gliders and a few single engine prop planes, but I find the F-14's FM very believable. Except for one thing: As soon as there is a little wind, even 3-5 knots, and the plane drifts like crazy. No amount of crabbing can keep me on the glideslope. Don't you guys find the Tomcat to be overly sensitive to wind, especially at low speeds? Cheers, Greg

Folks, where is the "next/previous target" button in the RIO's cockpit? I'm tired of having to open the shift+3 panel. Also, is there a way to assign the weapon selection to controller buttons? thanks a lot, Greg

Hi, When starting up the F-14A, I am aware you need to get to 18% RPM, but the RPM gauge isn't exactly obvious. The only thing I have to help me is by using the background sound of the engine starting, but sometimes the engine will stall, and other times it will successfully start up. Maybe I am reading the RPM gauge wrong but the tape doesn't really make sense. Peter

At a loss here.... P3D V3 Academic (which is loaded on my D: drive btw..) I was trying to load a carrier scenario and when I go to the Load scenario, none of the F-14 scenarios are showing up in my list. I decided to have a look around my files and I found that all the F-14 stuff is located at D: > Users>Dave>Documents>Prepar3d v2 (no other files in the folder, only F-14A Aden (C&D).FLT etc...) I also have a D: >Users>Dave>Documents>Prepar3d v3 folder but there is only Previous Flight files in there... Before I do anything I wanted to ask - should I move the F-14 files to the V3 folder? Hi All! I'm having an absolute blast with my new Tomcat. This addon is one of the best I've ever seen. It's up to the level of the Accu-Sim products, which have been the only reason I had FSX installed...until I got the F-14. But enough of my blabbering. I managed to familiarize myself with the F-14 and its systems, I only have 2 little questions: TCS - I can't seem to get it work. I have Tacpack. I switch to A/A mode, I lock on the target, I fly behind it at 2 NM, and the screen is still black with a gray cross in the middle. What am I doing wrong? My other question is concerning the DLC. Hi, So in a theoretical situation that I cut off both engines, but I was below 330 IAS, Howeverm as the power dies, the generators and hydraulics die as well, so I cannot push the nose to the angle I would like. In this case do the emergency hydraulics and emergency generator work? If so how should I do that? Peter

I am flying The Tomcat at altitude with everything stable-altitude hold on in vector mode and if for some reason I have to pause FSX while flying the Tomcat, when I unpause, the Plane goes into a steep dive and usually I cannot recover. Has anyone else reported this, or how can I keep this from happening? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks, Bob McCue

Hey guys, first post here as I just started flying the tomcat last week...I need some help/advice on landing. I have quite a bit of sim experience going all the way back to Fleet Defender. Currently in P3D v3 and I use DCS quite a bit. I have read as much as I can in the manuals and watched most of the f-14X videos that are out there. I'm still doing FCLP (no carrier yet) because I haven't figured this thing out. So, my question is this: In all my past sim flying, once configured for landing I've always just placed the velocity vector on the end of the runway and flown it down without really paying attention to AoA. I am running windows 7.....will I have any problems with the F-14 if I upgrade to windows 10 ?

I've been trying without luck to mousetrap the mode buttons on the F-14 Pilot Display Ctrl Panel, using the registered FSUIPC mouse macro technique Is this just un-possible to do? and is there some other way to assign these mode buttons to an MFD controller?

FSX - With any of the F14 models Input from joy stick shows the cockpit stick moving but the stabs themselves barely move. They are stuck with left partial down and right partial up. If I switch from the F14 to the Stock F18 (acceleration pack) same effect except The stabs move more that the tomcats did. Seems something in F14X is causing this issue. I have tried re-installing the F14x pack but same issue. Anyone have any idea why this may be occurring? The F18 works fine if I did not load any of the Aerosoft F14 jets

I've recently bought the Thrustmaster Warthog system and would like to know how to assign certain functions to certain switches and axes in FSUIPC (registered), if it be possible. I have never tinkered with FSUIPC before, and it seems a bit daunting at first glance. I would like to assign the red and gray rocker switches on the right hand throttle grip to control wing sweep. I would like to use the red one to control forward and aft sweep movement, and the gray one to control the Bomb and Auto Modes. I would like to use the Flap switch to control the flaps, and the throttles' slider axis to control emergency wing sweep. I'd also like to be able to use either the 8-wa…

Lately I have been trying to get back to flying with the split throttle on my X-55 however I find that if I load into a flight with the B model the throttles are returned to idle almost immediately after any input is given. This problem does not seem to affect the A model tomcat, in fact if I switch from an A to a B it works fine except that it requires me to advance my throttles over 50% to move them out of idle. I have tried re-mapping without FSUIPC and re-mapping as FS Normal Axis in FSUIPC, and re-calibrating the throttles to no avail. I have also tried with and without alternate throttle input selected with all different mappings. Any ideas on what could be causing …

How to install Paint kits? I have there 2 folders Block 90 & 100 and Block 110 & B and 17 .psd files. But I didn't find any .psd files in FSX/SimObjects/Airplanes/Aerosoft F14A Post86 (Pre86,B) folder. There are just .dds files.

What's the release date for the update? Next week? Next month? Next year? Never? I bought the F-14x just so I could complain about how stupid it is that a tacpac enabled simulation doesn't function with tacpack features like aircraft carriers and tankers. It's really stupid and shoddy work on aerosoft's part.

So I have been going through the NATOPS and the Pocket checklist for the F-14B, (now that I have created physical copies as close to the real ones as possible) and I am unable to find the panel that allows you to select engine mode as well as the asymmetric limiter. The L/R ENG SEC caution lights also seem to be missing. I am also unable to find the backup ignition switch. Are these features that were not on the A model and therefore not included or am I just looking in all the wrong places. As a side note I noticed that the guard for the emergency generator switch seems to be missing, at least on the B model anyways. Thanks in advance …

Could we please have a list of fixes that will be addressed in the next service pack? Also, could you please confirm that the ECM will be fixed and manual chaff and flares will be implemented (not set to auto dispense)? Because this is a big problem at the moment as I and many other pilots cannot do any SAM avoidance missions. Thanks.

Good day all! I recently got the F14B, and I seem to be struggling with the add-on. Firstly, its looks amazing and seems like a lot of fun. I have the Steam Version. Now to the issues: In the cockpit, when I push my physical throttle (Warthog HOTAS), the plane powers up and flies as per normal, but the in-game throttle doesnt move (which struke me as odd). The wings do no move on auto, nor can I force them to move in the emergency override. I also tried using CTRL-3 to bring up the wing modes there and that didnt work either. The only way to get them to work is to use the default flap buttons on the keyboard. But even then the flaps dont deploy. I tried to reinstall t…
