Hi, I purchased the F-14X a few days ago and it is a dream come true. I first flew the Block 90 and it was great. I then selected a Block 100, clicked "run" (yes) to all the programs it asked me if I wanted to run them, then I press the fly button. Once loaded and in sim I noticed that I was not in the cockpit. I press the F9 but no luck. I then pressed the external views of the aircraft and noticed there was no aircraft. I am not sure, but I think one or several of the programs FSX asked me to run when loading a block 100 may be the culprit. Any thoughts, suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

is there a way to access events for those who do not use Lua scripting? for example, LANTIRN (B/W HOT TOGGLE) Parameter (Press): 298 Parameter (Release): none there's no button on the RIO or 2d panel for this basic function. if an event can be assigned to a key as we have for the VRS F/A18, it would make things really nice...

Hi I'm having trouble spawning AI aircraft from the F-14 menu. It says in the manual that it can take between 10-30 mins. I have flown twice and waited 30mins and nothing has happened. I also get no AWACS messages. Am I;m doing something wrong in the setup? Do I need to start off the carrier for the it to work. I'm flying out of NAS Oceana when I start the scenario. Thanks.

Is there a technique for filling the drop tanks? I am able to fill the default F-14 external drop tanks with the payload manager but if I switch to another aircraft then it refuses to fill them. I can take off and air to air refuel them but not from the manager.

First of all thanks for the update, it really enhances the F-14X. I see the developer is still busy even after the release with answering user questions, which I appreciate as much as the update itself. So heres a few things I've noticed: - When starting cold and dark, the aircraft has its parking brake on and is connected to ground power. If I release the parking brake, the ground power gets disconnected. However, that electrical cockpit noise (a rectifier I guess) still persists even if the plane is clearly unpowered (no lights or other electrical equipment working). Now if I switch parking brakes back on, the ground power does not come back and I have to relo…

read the natops for the f14b as suggested by vic103 and cockpit lighting should be as follows: flight instruments: aviation red flood lights: green nvg or white so there's no red flood light as we have on this model. nvg green flood light can be easily accomplished by using the .fx from Dino's F14D or the one used on the VRS f/a18. as for the instrumentation lighting, now working on a white flood light scheme at the dim setting, coming together ok. instrument light on: with the nvg floods also on: the side consoles are not done yet, back seat also wip:

I made some test with the AIM-54 (launched from both the Aerosoft F-14 and Dinos F-14D) and noticed some strange behavior of the missile inflight. The flightpath to the target and range seem OK but the speed... The Tacpack phoenix climbs out at about 600Kts IAS to 90kft and then cruises with 170Kt IAS, thats around 450-500Kt TAS. The lack if speed is compensated by an extremely large motor burn time of up to 6min IIRC. The missile should definetly go faster than that to stay in the air, not to mention intercepting high speed tail-aspect targets. I believe earlier versions of tacpack had more realistic flight speeds for the aim-54. Since I havent found any posts on that …

Has anyone had to adjust the VC eyepoint in this aircraft? I am a little off to the right of center in the cockpit. I always thought it was my trackir, but I played around with the sensor location and the clip and basically no matter what I do I am still off to the right. I used the P3d command to move the eyepoint and that centers it temporarily, but when I hit my trackir center hotkey it moves it right back to the original position. Then I tried the sim without trackir and sure enough it is off to the right a couple clicks (without trackir the P3d 'move eyepoint' command centers it during that session). Ever since the new update, I've had a persistent, yet untraceable button push sound in the cockpit (in FSX... haven't tried P3D yet). It happens even when the sim is paused. It's not a repetitive pattern.. it comes at odd intervals, but it is persistent and continuous - even when the engines are shut down. I've managed to pinpoint the ASC sound file that is playing - "Sound_ASC_button_soft.wav" - but I can't trace the source of the sound. The constant playing of the sound is causing a persistent stutter every time the sound plays and then reloads. For now, I've taken a blank sound file and renamed it with the above file name and have temporarily re…

Hi, recently bought the F14 (P3D v3) and at the moment I've git two questions: 1) is it possible to set up left and right throttle (I own registered FSUIPC and Hotas Warthog) I can only set one throttle. I disabled P3D controls completely and setup throttles via FSUIPC and the "send directly to FSUIPC calibration". Throttle 1-4 don't work, only "throttle" does work. 2) is it possible two takeoff and land on carrier, a/a refueling without tacpack? Unfortunately, I hate to the be the one here that beats a dead horse but what seems to be an easy fix is giving me some trouble. You'll have to excuse my limited knowledge when it comes to editing cfg's because I do not do this on a regular basis, so go easy on me! I have added the ".NoMirror" to the model declaration in the CFG specifically for the Post 86 model. Upon doing this, I'm losing the models in the FSX aircraft selection menu after saving the aircraft cfg. Obviously, I'm missing a step. So, if anyone can kindly help me out it would be greatly appreciated. I know this question was answered previously so excuse me.

Hallo guys First of all thank you for the update! In FSX menu I can only select F14-A models (90, 100, 110) but there isn't any F14-B at all. Inside the simobjects/airplanes folder there is a folder called "Aerosoft F14B". Any idea about how to fix it? Many thanks Francesco

Hi! After Extended installed i've checked weapon delivery and with TACPACK everything seems to be work (rockets, bombs, NV, TV) beside gun. When i try to shoot i heard short (it seems like cut) gun spinning? sound but no rounds fired and no shells counter update either on HUD or pit. Beside that there is no reaction on "Jetway toggle" event - AP emergency disc, buttons seems to be properly assigned in FSUIPC but F-14 isnt reacting at all. Win 7, P3D 2.5, TACPACK.

I was wondering if anyone out there could enlighten me if it would be possible to calibrate the physical afterburner detent on the Thrustmaster Warthog with the afterburner on the F-14X. I am running my controls through a registered FSUIPC if that makes a difference. I'd love to set this up particularly for flying the B model where AB is almost always off for the launch.

While the aircraft installed flawlessly and flies even better, the one thing I have a problem with is that when pressing the "add on" tab on P3d menu bar, I see FSUIPC and the Aerosoft sub-tabs. When I click on the aerosoft tab, nothing happens and no menu appears. When I press FSUIPC, it works normally. Did I do something wrong? Sorry, Windows 7pro 64bit, 32g ram, 980TI GC, P3D 3.2 Thanks Firebird

If I start the free flight with this beauty, and the ACM panel isn't opened, I can handle the throttle well. But if I open the panel, something is wrong, I can't use the throttle. Is this my own problem, or have it others too?? Thank you very much. My system: win 7 64, sim: FSX Accel., I am using FSUIPC I used the 1.1 version before, and everything was fine. I just installed P3D v3, and fired up the F-14. It's AMAZING!!!! It all looks so much better, and I have better performance too. Those specular lights, high quality shadows, HDR, amazing water... I just have one problem: I figured out how to start the carrier scenarios, but the Kitty Hawk's deck is empty. How come? What am I doing wrong? Also, how come the Kitty hawk steams so much faster in P3D? In FSx the speed is around 26 knots, in P3D it's 36. I had serious lineup problems at the beginning PS: I have TacPack for FSX. Do you know if I can install it for P3D, or is that a separate product? Thanks!

I just noticed that if I try adding fuel using the Payload Manager, the amounts of each item do change in the little "equation" shown, but the total amount doesn't change. In other words, the total gross weight shown stays the same no matter how much fuel i add or take away.. the aircraft weight changes with whatever ordnance I specify... and the acutal weight of the fuel changes depending on how much I add, but the displayed total gross weight doesn't change. I have to do the addition manually! Not a big deal - just something you may want to look into. This is in FSX Gold + Acceleration. Just took a quick hop around Oceana in the A+ and I have to say a HUGE thanks to the Devs for this upgrade! Very impressive and a blast to fly (still challenging). I haven't even looked at the manuals yet. Things that stood out to me are the more realistic speed brake operation, flaps take longer to extend/retract, MUCH improved approach speed handling and realistic NWS! Worth the wait. Can't wait to head to head out to the boat
