Electric Lightning

I am a bit hazy on the operation of the radar. I am able to track a target after going to phase change. Is this considered "locking on" ? I get the A and the in range dot on the HUD and the radar appears as it should in 80/40 and 40/10 but I never get a steering dot or any shift out of the 40/10 If I am tracking but not locked on, how do I go about getting locked on?

I am not familiar with this aircraft but I read some good reviews of it. I am considering to buy one of them but I am not sure which one is better. I read F3 is very good addon but I can't find anything about F6. So which one is better for Tacpack flying?

Hi, Please, do you think that you could add some assigned keys in Fsx to the Hand Control Unit like for Eg the Phase Trigger, Radar Scale and so in F3/F6 ? Thanks in advance, Regards, Richard Portier

Recently purchased download of F3 and F6 lightning. When doing a vertical climb at around 32,000 feet, a notice on top right hand screen says sound switched off. Then here's the weird part. The screen blacks out as if simulating a g-force blackout. If I click the mouse on the right hand side of screen and use a swipe motion it moves the blackout screen and normal screen appears. If I do a normal climb gradually reaching 32,000 feet the same applies. The effects in setup have been switched off.

Hi, could someone help a newbie? I've just purchased and installed the Lightning F3 and F6 on FSX Disc Edition. I can't for the life of me understand how to move the visor over the radar screen! I don't have TacPacI I would really appreciate some help. Darrell.

Hi, I've been experimenting with the ILS on the Lightning for quite some time but I've still to yet successfully land the aircraft so I was wondering if I could have some help I believe I've set the ILS up correctly in the aircraft by inputting the NAV 1 into the TACAN using the conversion card provided, I set the runway heading and runway course and I've selected the ILS mode on the compass.. My problem seems to be that I don't know what switches to press on the autopilot. Even when I select autopilot on the control column the aircraft reacts as if I've nose dived the ground, this is also when I haven't touched my joystick and therefore there's no…

I have V1.01 English Electric Lightning F6. It has worked fine following first install until last week. Now the generators go offline when I throttle up above 60% RPM with consequent battery drain after a few minutes of flight and loss of the aircraft. I also can't use the ATC window: selecting an option only highlights it but the air traffic controller doesn't get the audio message. I don't know if these two issues are related. I have re-installed the aircraft but the problem is still there. Checking in the Aerosoft Launcher shows I have EE Lightning V2.00 installed and it says there is an update available to 2.02 but I can't seem to find that anywher…

Hello all, I'm struggling to keep the F6 Lightning stable in anything other than the default 'clear skies'. I've followed the manual to the letter and double checked everything from a C+D start, but if I fly in any kind of wind/turbulence, the F6 is all over the place like a paper aeroplane in a hurricane. I know it's an older aircraft - not having computers to keep level flight, etc - but I've experience in plenty of other craft of varying age and never experienced anything like this. I can be rolling/pitching everywhere in the F6, then swap to any other aircraft in my library and not have a problem. Is there something I'm missing here, guys? I'm really …

Hello, I have couple questions. I'm using P3D V3 under windows 10 with Saitek X-52Pro. All setting are set according to the manual 1. Is F6 really that laterally unstable in real life? I have hard time keep wings level, Is that notorious feature of real Lightning? 2. In landing configuration (flaps/gear down) at speeds between 200- 180 kts, F6 has a very high pitch attitude so that forward view is completely abstracted. Is that normal? Just purchased the F6 and also downloaded the F3 2.02 update. I currently have the old F3 installed. I understand that I need to uninstall this first, but noticed the F3 update also has some fixes for the F6. So when I come to reinstall should I install the latest F3 first or the F6, or does it make no difference?

Hi there all, not sure if I'm missing something really simple or doing something very wrong here, but I have the F3 & F6 versions of the Lightning installed in FSX Acceleration. None of the fuselages are showing as the really highly polished finish which was common on many lightning's, its more of a "dull greyish" representation. The band around the nose of the aircraft which looks like a very polished almost chrome effect displays on my screen as a very dark grey or black band. Has anyone got any ideas on what may be my issue here, or had this problem themselves? I am wondering if it is a limitation of my VGA but I have other aircraft in my simulator with highly p…

Just downloaded the paint kit for the F6 and opened up the texture sheet for the rear fuse of the aircraft and the texture sheet in the paint kit is different to those of the textures already included for the aircraft. It looks more like the F3 paint kit sheet

Hi Having a problem with the Radar Altimeter. Left knob works OK for on/off and Test Can't change Decision Height setting on the right knob. Mouse pointer changes to hand and "Decision Height etc (200 ft) comes up. Cannot change the height or move the cursor on the dial (by left/right mouse click) regards

I loaded the above product, JFL258470E3D3C4694F, activation code EEF6-540-24653-N4884-73420. This was loaded onto Flight simulator X Acceleration addition on a computer with windows 10. When loaded the microlight aircraft which is the default aircraft fails to load, in addition there is no engine sound after they are started. You can hear the pilot breathing, when start is selected, you can hear the avpin starter, the engines accelerate to idle, which you can hear, then once they reach idle power, the noise stops. No matter what the power setting idle -reheat there is no engine sound

Hello all, I have just bought the F6 on simmarket, and installed the newest version of Tacpack (1.4.2.6), however when I try to load the firestreak Missiles via the Loadeditor, the missiles don't show up. The shortcut ctrl-shift-w doesn't work either. A also cannot reset the external fuel tanks, once I removed them with the loadeditor. My system: FSX Acceleration, Win7 64 bit, GTX 780 Did I miss something, or what could be the reason for this? Thanks for your help.

This afternoon I purchased the F.6 and downloaded version of the F.3. Love them all. I discovered a problem with the sound. Apparently those models which alias the sounds have incorrect sound.cfg entries. For the F.6 models instead of "alias=Lightning F6_ferrytank\Sound" it should actually be "alias=Aerosoft Lightning F6_ferrytank\Sound". For the F1A instead of "alias=Lightning F3\Sound" it should be "alias=Aerosoft Lightning F3\Sound". The word Aerosoft is missing from the each of the sound.cfg that alias the sounds. --WH
