All your comments and support for PFPX

  1. Check your PFPX temporary folder. C:\Users\Public\Documents\PFPX Data\Temp Mine contained a significant number of tmp files going back many months. I cleared them all out without any perceived impact on PFPX. I'm not sure why these are never cleared out except by manual intervention.

  2. Started by Floren,

Good Day. Have reinstalled my PFPX program but during reinstalation not asked me for Serial Number. After reinstalled and reiniciated it's impossible to reach any wheater, nor Nat Tracks. Tks a lot for any help. Kind Regards. Floren Pascual

  3. Started by Tamba765,

I'm unable to get the WX or Tracks to update when starting PFPX. If I try to manually update the WX, PFPX crashes. Is there an issue? Thanks. Pete Locascio

  4. Started by CS-TMT,

Good morning, I'm having an issue which I don't know whether it is related to Navigraph AIRAC or an internal configuration error in PFPX itself. In most oceanic FIR/UIRs the planned speed is being given in knots (KZAK, KZWY, GOOO, GVSC, CZQX to name a few) instead of Mach as it should be. Some other areas are still correctly in Mach, like LPPO and EGGX. From real world flight plans checked on EDI-GLA I can see that all the areas mentioned above as being incorrect are planned with Mach airspeeds IRL. Plus, I checked with a friend of mine who is a TAP pilot and flies often to the USA from Portugal and the other way round and he confirms that the speed in KZAK is p…

Hello, I was trying to make a No RNAV flight plan but PFPX gives me the following error The route it's from LEMD to LESO but with all the route that I tryed I have the same error Thanks in advance to all.

  6. Started by Freccia,

Hi, maybe I use PFPX badly but I would like to know why, when the program looks for a route in Europe, it doesn't take into account the Free Route Airspace. Of course I always have the AIRACS and RAD updated Thank you.

Hello all, Something I have noticed with my PFPX is that it hates France! It will not route me through LFFF at all, as shown in the below picture. I have no route restrictions, or restricted/closed airspace that I can see and I have tried a few routes but it just won't route me through France and use weird and wonderful routes instead.. Any help?

  8. Started by tcasclimb,

I haven't updated pfpx, still running 2.03 because it works perfectly for me right now. However I have noticed, without changing anything, still using the same aircraft profiles, settings etc I have recently started getting these weird climbs and descents whenever I have optimum cruise FL. Anyone know why this started happening out of nowhere? Here is the route. in this example. KATL PLMMR2 SPA Q22 RBV Q419 JFK ROBUC3 KBOS It happens with every aircraft profile.

  9. Started by Will C,

I'm having trouble computing flights when the departure date on my computer doesn't match the UTC date. For example, I was sitting at my computer at 20:00 tonight (Feb 1) to plan a flight that will leave in an hour (21:00 on Feb 1). However, we are UTC-6 here, so I'm doing my flight planning at 2:00 UTC on Feb 2, and planning a flight that will leave at 3:00 UTC on Feb 2. Since my computer is on Feb 1, but the departure date is Feb 2 (UTC), I get issues... Setting Feb 2 as the departure date leads to PFPX locking and saying "Not responding," and I have to shut it down and restart. But if I leave everything about the flight the same and…

  10. Due to medical reasons, I have not been able to do any flight simming for about 4 years. During that time, I uninstalled everything having to do with flight sim from my computer, for space considerations. Recently, miraculously, I have found myself able to "fly" again. So, I began the painstaking process of re-installing all my old FSX software, (over 325 planes, sceneries, utilities, etc.). Of course, I'm not re-installing everything, only the applications I found useful in the past. I've generally had good luck with re-activation, with a few exceptions. PFPX, when re-installed, accepted my original registration key, then threw up a quick message thanking me and in…

  11. Title says it all...

I had recently purchased PFPX but am having issues. Everything really works as it should, but not (Connect to Virtual Airline) I try to log in (Air Anatolia Virtual Airline) it logs on but the problem is that I can not see the planes to (Air Anatolia) in the flight list. My friends can when he logs in as admin but not me and we are absolutely sure that there are planes in there and Anatolia has been on PFPX for a very long time, but only I can not see the planes in the flight list and need help!

  14. Is there any word if FlightSimSoft is still providing support? - No response to direct messages on Aerosoft Forum - No response to emails (both to office@flightsimsoft.com or support@flightsimsoft.com) - No Response to ZenDesk Tickets - No Response to Aerosoft forums How can we get proper support?

  15. Started by Will C,

I see there are some interesting section types in PFPX: TankerGain TankerLoss TankerNotAvial TankerSavingsGain TankerSavingsLoss It's clear to me how to enter, say, 1000 lbs of fuel in the fuel ladder for tankering, but I don't see how to use those section headers in PFPX. Presumably each would get (by way of example): <&TankerGain_Begin> and <&TankerGain_End And then there would be relevant content within the section. It looks like possibly a way to show the cost savings, by tankering differing amounts of fuel. I'm sure it's too much to ask for a tutorial on what to place within the section delimit…

  16. Hi, How can I use RexSkyForce3D weather engine with PFPX? Where is metar_report.xml file?

Wurde hier von Seiten PFPX etwas verändert. Da es mal funktioniert frage ich hier mal nach.

  18. Started by omendoza,

Hi, For the airway N850 there are no altitude restrictions (max FL660, min 14000) Winds are not more favourable at FL310, actually they seem to stay the same (CRZ at FL390) Why would the program plan for that descent to FL310 ? Even during a segment where the MORA seems at its highest (170)

  19. Started by omendoza,

Based on the screenshot below? (I mean is it taking advantage of winds and avoiding SIGMETs)? Also, there is a thing that I quite can't follow. It suggested FL210 as OPT or OPEN OPT and when I forced MAX, it gave me FL390 and lower fuel burn so what is the actual optimisation?

  20. Started by Will C,

Here are some easy ones, I hope. 1. On the Costs tab, there is an entry for "Fuel Price MPM." What does MPM stand for? 2. How are "Delay from" and "Delay to" intended to be used? I certainly understand the concept of factoring in cost for delays, but I'm not sure what is meant here by "from" and "to." 3. I entered values for all the cost-related data that I could find within PFPX. Then I looked up all the cost-related variables for an OFP, and here's what I get (with the names of the variables): DELAYCOST: 0 FLIGHT HOUR COST: 359179 FUEL BURN COST: 558814 PAX COST: 0 ROUTE COST: 0 TOTAL COST: …

  21. Hoping everyone had a great start to the year. With the recent release of the HotStart Bombardier Challenger 650, I was wondering if anyone is aware of an Aircraft Performance Profile for the airplane. Much appreciated. Stay Safe.

  22. When PFPX is using Active Sky weather data, the wind data in large remote and oceanic areas are incorrect. I have spent a lot of my personal time researching this issue, and clearly, PFPX is reading AS wind data from current_wx_snapshot.txt. In this way, only wind aloft data over AIRPORTS are read, but not pseudo station data from other areas with no airport. This is obviously NOT the correct way to load data and is causing wind data for those areas to be incorrect and incomplete (with little or no change in a huge area). This problem is causing serious error and discrepancies when we are planning any flight through remote or oceanic areas. For other pilots, I don't …

  23. Started by gmoir,

I fixed earlier problems I was having by changing the location of my public documents folder in the Windows registry, now PFPX loads and runs perfectly. However, I now have a new problem. When I generate a route and export it to Prosim I get the following message when trying to import it into the CDU using Prosim Utilities: "INVALID WAYPOINTS FOUND. ROUTE NOT LOADED." I am using Navigraph cycle 2112 in PFPX and Prosim and have also loaded the latest RAD files. I have attached a snapshot of the route generated. I have tried a route from EGPD to EGLL but still get the same result. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Thanks, Graeme

  24. Started by F6EEQ,

Hi all, I'm discovering PFPX, and associated with TOPCAT it is a very nice tool. The link to "validate the route" is not working, and this is probably because Euro Control has modified the accees to their site. I get an answer from W3 group (this is the site where you can validate your HTML/CSS code) with errors. So to validate, I go to "NOP Network Operation Portail", then, to "Free text Editor" and then copy/paste my route, and the validations works well. Is there a possibility to access to the link under "validate", to edit it, and go directly to this "free route editor" ?? Thanks for help. Gerard.

  25. Started by gmoir,

I have just purchased PFPX. It installed and runs except that at startup I get a message saying it could not load aircraft types from C:\users\public\documents. . During the installation I saw that files were being copied to C:\users\public\documents. I have downloaded a new Nav database file but when I try to load it I can only find C:\users\public\public documents. All the PFPX files are there but when I put the nav data file there PFPX cannot find it. I believe it is because that folder, (documents) does not exist. I have attached a screen shot of the drive folder structure. Can anyone help please? Graeme
