I lose my Map Enhancement Pro and/or SpainUHD scenery around the airport and the surrounding area looks wrong or flattened.

2. If I disable Aerosoft’s mesh and keep:

o XPME Europe overlays above,

o SimHeaven overlays above those,

o Aerosoft LEMD “1 – Airport” at the top,

3. then:

o The terrain and imagery around Madrid look good (XPME + SimHeaven work together).

o But some terminals at LEMD (notably T1 and T4) have wrong elevation relative to the mesh: apron areas have bumps/steps, and parts of the terminals don’t sit perfectly on the ground. T4S looks fine, but T1/T4 are clearly misaligned.

My understanding is that this terminal elevation mismatch is exactly what the Ortho4XP patch is supposed to solve: it adjusts the airport mesh so the buildings sit correctly on a custom tile, instead of requiring Aerosoft’s own mesh to dominate the entire area.

The problem with the Ortho4XP patch

The documentation for Aerosoft LEMD provides an Ortho4XP patch and a TIF DEM, and explains how to:

· Put the patch in Patches/+40-010/+40-004/.

· Set the TIF as custom_dem.

· Build tile +40‑004 with Ortho4XP.

· Use the resulting zOrtho4XP_+40-004 tile under the airport.

In theory this is a good solution. In practice, on my Apple Silicon Mac, I have not been able to get Ortho4XP into a reliably working state for this tile:

· My existing Ortho4XP install repeatedly fails with:

o DEM not being created (tile.dem is None) and crashes like AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'alt_vec'.

o OSM “server busy / rejected” issues when trying to build vector data for the tile.

· Attempts to reinstall Ortho4XP and set up a new Python environment hit limits because:

o I’m on a pre‑release macOS version, where package managers and GDAL/Proj setups are less stable.

o Versioned Homebrew packages like python@3.10 are not available on my machine.

· I’m not comfortable doing deep manual debugging or custom Python builds just to get one tile working; I’m a simmer, not a developer.

So I’m stuck in a situation where:

· The patch depends on a tool (Ortho4XP) that I cannot realistically get working on my current Apple Silicon/macOS setup.

· The patch itself doesn’t include a ready-made tile or mesh; it only modifies a tile I’d have to generate with Ortho4XP.

· The product is advertised as premium scenery, but the recommended solution for users with Ortho4XP/Map Enhancement/SpainUHD relies on technical steps that are well beyond what many non‑technical users can reasonably do—especially on Apple Silicon.

What I’ve tried and confirmed

· I have XPME working correctly as a fallback:

o XPME overlays and SimHeaven above.

o Aerosoft LEMD airport on top.

· With Aerosoft mesh disabled:

o Madrid region looks good.

o Only the terminal elevations (T1/T4) are wrong.

· I’ve tried multiple imagery sources (BI, ARC, GO2) and different thread settings in Ortho4XP; the DEM/alt_vec crash persists even before imagery becomes a factor.

· I’ve spent hours following various Ortho4XP guides; none have led to a working tile for +40‑004 on this machine.

What I’m asking from Aerosoft

1. Is there any possibility that Aerosoft could provide:

o A pre‑built, Ortho4XP‑compatible tile for +40‑004 with the patch already applied (or at least a ready mesh/DSF) for LEMD?

o Or an alternative patch / mesh package that:

§ Fixes T1/T4 elevations,

§ Does not flatten or override the whole Madrid region,

§ Does not require users to successfully run Ortho4XP?

2. If not, would Aerosoft consider:

o Updating the documentation to make clearer that the patch assumes a fully working Ortho4XP environment on the user’s system (which many Apple Silicon users do not have).

o Providing guidance or minimum system requirements for the patch (e.g. “tested on Windows only”, or “Ortho4XP recommended but not supported on macOS Apple Silicon”).

3. As a last resort, given the hours I’ve spent trying to make the patch work and the technical barriers on my platform, is there any possibility of:

o An alternative solution (e.g. a small adjustment to the Aerosoft mesh so it coexists better with third‑party meshes), or

o A refund or store credit, if the advertised compatibility with Ortho4XP‑style setups isn’t practically achievable on my system?

I’m not asking Aerosoft to support Ortho4XP itself—that’s a third‑party tool—but the current situation is that the LEMD patch is effectively unusable for me, and the supplied mesh either breaks the surrounding scenery or requires me to give up Map Enhancement and SpainUHD.

Any suggestions, clarifications, or alternative files from Aerosoft would be very much appreciated. I’d like to keep using LEMD Madrid with my usual orthophoto (Map Enhancement Pro) and mesh setup without having to be a Python/Ortho4XP expert.

Thank you for your time and for any help you can offer.

J.

XPNetwork Hello,

I just buyed LTFM XP12, and install it. Airport looks fine but my ortho tiles is (+41+028) is disappeared. If I remove LTFM it is coming back again. After that I create new tiles with copying SceneryTR - LTFM Istanbul - 2 - Mesh\Patches\+40+020\+41+028\LTFM.patch.osm file in to the Ortho4XP\Ortho4XP\Patches folder. And remove "SceneryTR - LTFM Istanbul - 2 - Mesh" folder from custom scenrey that ortho starts to appeared again.

But I do not know, is this correct way to use with orthoxp? because there is no any maunel in the folders for how to use.

btw older version was flat and this one is not flat and nice to see beacuse airport is not flat in real life.

	Thank

	This is with XP12.

By the way, this scenery is a disappointment in general. It still has the hangar for an airline that ceased operating in 2017! Fences are missing around public areas, and there are just things missing in general. It's also still using the abandonware SAM plugin. Considering it has been 'updated' for XP12, it's not really better than the default X-Plane airport. I would not buy it again.

	Hi everybody,
A few months ago, I purchased Airport Bergen XP from their site.
I have downloaded it via Instant Download, because i was told by their Customer Support that this product is not available on the Aerosoft One application.
Two weeks ago, I wanted to reinstall, download this product again but now it says that it is only available to download with Aerosoft One.
In my Aerosoft One application, Aerosoft Airport Bergen XP is not listed, of course same credentials on web and app.
I have contacted Aerosoft we have exchanged few emails and then...nothing.
Does anybody have some, same any, expirience with Aerosoft staff, or even better does somebody have purchased Aerosoft Airport Bergen XP an be willing to share with me if Bergen XP is visible in Aerosoft One or have live link to it on their website
Until this everything was correct, I have bought many products from them, but now communication suddenly stopped, hm/hm/hm, maybe they're on vacations or something, but still...
Regards,

I've enabled the add-ons and I can see the fold "Skyline Simulations CYTZ Billy Bishop" inside X-Plane 12>Custom Scenery. I tried to re-install it but it still doesn't work. I also tried to select the "Install Missing Scenery" button shown on the screenshot. However, it still doesn't work.

Hi, I recently purchased Aerosoft Köln Bonn XP and I love it.

Recently I was at the real airport and I noticed there is a new terminal for low cost airlines like Ryanair, near gate C01, in real life. This is not featured in the XP version of the airport, instead, there is a construction site where the new terminal is supposed to be in the scenery.

Also I noticed there are no more ads on the jetways and the passenger bridges that lead to the jetways, in real life, where in the scenery the Sixt Car Rental ads are located currently.

I saw the new terminal is actually featured in the MSFS version of Köln Bonn Airport, but sadly not in the X-Plane version.

Is it therefore possible that the XP version of Köln Bonn Airport will get an update soon, so that the 2023/2024 version of the airport is also featured in X-Plane? I would really like to see this beautiful scenery get an update for X-Plane too. X-Plane still gets used by many people, so it really isn’t that only MSFS needs the attention for scenery development.

Köln Bonn Airport is one of my favourites to fly from/to, both in real life and in X-Plane. For that reason I would love to see it get updated for the X-Plane sim as well. It truly would be awesome!

If any of the Aerosoft development team could answer to this topic, that’d be nice. :)

Hi Not sure if anyone can help or not. I am running XP11 with 6 Aerosoft airports installed that came bundled with my Xplane Disks. Airports are EDLV, EGCC, EHBK ENSH LFBO and Lugano. If I try to get ground service at EFCC, LFBO or ENSH I get a message either 'Sorry No Sewrvice at this airport', Sorry we don't have any service trucks here' or 'Sorry try a bigger airport'. It is the same whether I use Control/s or call for ground services within sparks 747 ground services menu. THe aerosoft EGLL and EGPF that came with xplane work ok. Is there a simple fix? Thanks in advance

	Hi friends.

I have bought the Madrid XP airport, it´s great.

However, when I tune in the ATIS at Madrid Barajas airport, the runways available for takeoff and landing are wrong. Indicates 14R, 14L, 18R, 18L for takeoff and 14R, 14L, 18R, 18L for landing.

The ATC also assigns the wrong taxiways and runway for takeoff or landing.

The official takeoff runways are 36L/36R in north configuration and the 14R/14L in south configuration according to charts.

The official landing runways are the 32L/32R in north configuration and the 18R/18L in south configuration according to charts.

No takeoff from the 18R/18L/33L/33R are allowed and no landings in 36L/36R are allowed.

I have tried the default LEMD airport of Laminar and the ATIS and ATC indications are right.

	This happens to someone else?

Is it a known bug? Are there plans to fix it?

	Thanks

Hello. I wanted to let you know that the VDGS at LTFM do not work when parking at gates. I have the great freeware plugin openSAM to operate all jetways and I started a post on the openSAM comments forum to inform about this issue. After some investigation, the conclusion was: "the VDGS are very far away (60+ m) from the stand with a large offset (5+ m)" which makes it impossible for openSAM to catch the VDGS. Is this something that can be solved in any upcoming scenery update? Thanks a lot for your help and insights.

I don't know if a thread has been opened about the Norwegian scenario, but I miss having designer-made airports in a region that is so good for flying.

We only have ENSB, ENTC and ENGM for XP12... There are more made for XP11, but I haven't seen any news about them being updated for XP12 yet.

I recently acquired the Bergamo v2 airport for X-Plane 12and have I found a decrease important frames. In the description of the airport it appears as friendly frames but in my case is not like that.

For example: parked in a terminal with a default aircraft Cessna, I have around 44 frames. When I start taxiing and changing views, the frames begin to fluctuate, and in flight I have rates of 19 and 20 frames and the processor time indicates an increase from 202 to 400 aproximately.

This doesn't happen to me with any other payment scenario. And not anywhere else.

	What's going on?

	Optimization problem?

I only use Simheaven as an external scenario. Nothing else.
