Aerosoft Twin Otter

Anyone else have any problems assigning "Pitot" to a hardware switch? All others, lights etc, assigned easily.

Hi I notice that I can start both engines without having the fuel pumps activated. Were there fuel in the wing tanks i could understand this happening, but these are empty (although I have fuel in the main tanks). Does this scenario seem likely? All the best

I loved this model in FSX, so I waited until I could see a PK for msfs. So now I have bought the model, installed the various PKs (Wow! Great choice of versions there) First off the drawing board just has to be my Air Seychelles livery from FSX. who remembers her? I must be mad to announce this complex livery from FSX days; I will give you the verdict once I have tried it - I dread criticising the fact that you use decals though

There is a few gigabyte of the same textures (.png and png.dds) are they both used?

Not that its a huge issue, but is there a way to decouple nosewheel steering from the rudder pedals? Just wondering? John

I seem to be the only one who cannot open the rear passenger doors. The handle "illuminates" but clicking it does nothing. Front doors open fine. Any ideas?

Hi I love seeing the frequent mentions of progress on the 330, North Industry platforms, AS airports, among others. What would be nice is to see a tiny matrix of project and status (not asking for completion) just to see what's going forward, maybe what's contemplated and what is still challenging. Is there any chance of such an update?

Just got the great PMS GTN 750 and was wondering if it worked with this addon? or if not if it was a possibility for the future? cheers

Just noticed this strange texture on the rear tire. Is this supposed to be there?

It happens pretty much every flight, at some point when just cruising either the autopilot kicks off and I have to wait a couple of minutes before it will enable, OR a few times all electrical cuts out...at that point I have to reload the plane to keep going or just quit Is this a known issue for others? there is lots of news on airports, Traffic, other problems, but NO news of the Otter sound work. PLEASE could we have an update....anything? Is there still work being done at all? There are a lot of people waiting to hear some word....thanks

There seems to be an issue with the NAV/COM radios in the GPS stack. When I push the button to switch between the NAV/COM radios, nothing happens. The same thing happens on both GPS units. Am I missing something? If I'm unable to select a NAV radio and enter a frequency, the nav radios are useless for VOR navigation and ILS/VOR approaches. Is there a fix for this or a work around? Also, in the MSFS 2020 version, the external ice deflectors do not seem to work. When I push and hold the switch, the doll's eyes do not show up on the instrument panel. --KT

When I select the twin otter it causes my sim to CTD when I load the flight. Does it with no other aircraft. I have the Twin Otter up to date. Was purchased in the sim market place.

After leaving the Twin Otter in the hangar for a while, I used her quite extensively during the last weekend. What I noticed was that the plane's speed was basically uncontrollable on finals. Trying to slow down to approach speed and maintaining it was absolutely impossible for me. Speed was more or less controllable down to about 100-110 kts. Anything below and the slightest change on the throttles would let the speed go up from e.g. 90 kts to 130 or down to 60 (or even below). I got the impression that there was an ever so slightly difference between a low power and a reverse power setting which resulted in the excessive change of speed. I'm usi…

Flying the Twin Otter a LOT and loving it. I am wondering if there is a way to achieve better cockpit lighting as it's nearly impossible to see the switches on the overhead panel and the landing light panel area in the dark. Thanks in advance.

Which autopilot is more authentic for twin otter? The p3d's or the msfs 2020's?

I installed the latest update. I can't get the props to feather. I read a post and one guy could keep them feathered if he feathered them and then shut the engines down. It doesn't seem to work for me. Can someone help me out? Thanks.

Hey Support\everyone.. I've just purchased the Aerosoft Twin Otter vs the Microsoft store and sadly I'm experiencing constant crash to desktops (and one freeze where the game was unresponsive and I had to end task) that some others experienced in the thread below. It seems to be when I switch views mainly, but the one freeze I had was just when I was on push back. I don't freeze or crash on any other other aircraft in MSFS and I have cleared my community folder in case an add on was causing an issue. Any ideas? I can repeat it nearly every time, all though I did manage a 15 minute flight before having to turn off once without a crash. …

I have been doing a lot of flying in the Twin Otter lately. I have always loved this plane as I flew in a Series 100 a lot back in the 1990's. In Simulator, I have a number of liveries, among others, Ken Borek Air, Air Borealis, Grand Canyon Airlines and great routes, departure and arrival locations. What adds to my enjoyment is learning about and gaining insight into the systems that function within the aircraft. I found a few videos on youtube that might be of interest. Hey, I´m just wondering when we will get new informations or when we can expect some results/updates in that case?

The recommended 530 AP addon fails with the Apr 25 MSFS update. It eventually stops initializing but it takes a loooong time. Anybody else have the same problem? I deleted the addon and the default AP works but it clearly needs the addon. John
