We are building a new sound set for the Twin Otter and we would like to invite some testers. Clearly we prefer people who have experience on the model because it has a internal sound that is rather peculiar (with nearly no sound dampening and the props directly aligned the the cockpit). Hallo, liebe Aerosoft-Entwickler! Ich hab mir selbstverständlich die Twin Otter geholt und zwar in dem Moment als sie verfügbar war. Jetzt bin ich da grad so am herumtesten und probieren und natürlich screenshots machen von dem Schmuckstück... ...und als ich meine Twotter da so hingestellt hab, cold and dark, die Türen offen... ...da hab ich festgestellt, dass ich gerne einen Screenshot machen würde, bei dem Pilot/Copilot nicht im Cockpit sitzten. Firstly may I extend huge thanks for the vastly improved sounds. For many years, the Twin Otter Extended was my absolute favourite aircraft in FSX, and I few it for many hundreds of enjoyable hours. The original sounds for the MSFS version were a real immersion killer, so the Twin Otter team are to be congratulated on recognising an issue, and taking steps (evidently quite difficult ones!) to correct this. Having been around Twin Otters quite extensively as an airport fire fighter many years ago, and having had the opportunity to fly on them at that time, I would maintain that the authentic full power 'throb' of the Twin Otter PT6's has only been successfull…

Hello I buy already a long time the Twin Otter, but because problems of binding i quit for a while. Now i found out that using Axis and Ohs (I have a paid version and never use it before) can bindidng almost everything Last weekend i was doing my test and everything was working and i could finaly enjoy such beautiful bird but.... the Altitude not respond to bindings. In the cockpit when i select (mouse click) a altitude and after the VS, everything works good, but not accept external input. Hello there. I want to use the Twotter in AirHauler in MSFS and need to import it into the program. In order to do this AH requires the aircraft.cfg file. I've looked high and low but cannot find it. I looked in all the usual places. C drive via the User/AppData route and also on my D drive where the main installation is. I can find many cfg files (ai/camera/cockpit/model/texture/gameplay) and everything in between but no aircraft.cfg. As I understand it, it is a requirement, yes? Can anyone shed some appropriate light? I'd be grateful. Cheers CaptC

Hi all, I can see version 1.1.1 is showing on my aerosoft one account however that version hasn't been announced in these official forums from what I can see. Is version 1.1.1 the latest?

When I do Rnav (LPV) approaches in the DHC 6, I am never able to get vertical guidance (glide slope bar). I have been trying to figure this out. I don't have this problem with any other planes. The glide slope bar works for ILS, I just can't get it to work for GPS approaches.

Hello I was watching a You Tube video describing a 'Beta Descent' on a Pilatus in Papa New Guinea (I think). It occurred to me that, purely by trial and error, I have been adopting something similar in my Twin Otter to shed altitude when flying to small airstrips in the Himalayas where there is not much room for approach maneuvering. I would put the pitch to minimum (100%) and throttle back and I found that I could descend quickly without gaining too much speed. Then as I approached the airstrip, I could increase the power and land successfully. So, can you real world pilots tell me, is what I am doing a 'recognized' method of des…

Hey, I've got a problem with the Twin Otter that's been driving me nuts, and I can't seem to be able to figure it out. Whenever I start the plane from cold and dark (following the proper procedure/checklist, control lock removed, of course, engines running properly, everything ready to go), the yoke can only be pulled back so far. The elevator does NOT go beyond the (roughly) straight position, so it is impossible to properly control the plane. The yoke/elevator WILL move all the way forward/down, all good there, but when I pull it back to raise the nose, it will only move until the plane flies straight, and I can't figure out why it won't move fur…

Will wing/tail deice ever be implemented animation and icing that affects the performance of the aircraft? Also, in the attached picture the prop deice element (circled in red) is backwards. I see that in the correct location there is a grey strip, maybe that was intended to be the element?

Usually on the second leg of a flight, I noticed that the hydraulic brake pressure will drop to 1200 psi, then the hydraulic pump kicks in and raises the pressure to 1550 psi and it drops again the cycle continues. Evidently there is a hydraulic leak in the system....can maintenance please fix this issue?

Saw there was an update to the Twin Otter this morning. Removed my old sound mod and gave it a try. I was pleasantly surprised.

Hi! I'm having issues with the Twin Otter, where everything is fine once you load into the simulator, but every time, a few minutes later it freezes where no switch will move, EXCEPT for the Garmin systems and ADF tuner. I didn't have this issue before. It arrived a few weeks ago after the 40th anniversary update. But even then it worked okay for a while. Anyone has any idea where the issue could be?

Hi, didn't know which topic to post this under but i have a problem On taxiing the twotter tends to yaw hard left or right at around 10kts, at takeoff i have to apply a lot of rudder to keep it straight, and while landing as soon as i touch down i just swerve because of the same yawing thing, it's become difficult to taxi due to this Anyone else having this issue? thought it was torque but since it's going in the left and right direction I don't believe it is

I get this rather odd effect now from the exhaust plume, it doesn't look as bad from behind the aircraft. I have the latest patch version installed.
