Tim Arnot has finished a review of Antarctica X over at Mutleys hangar. His rather long conclusion was, "This is a massive scenery, covering a part of the world that few people know much about (other than that it’s filled with singing, dancing penguins and BBC Wildlife film crews), and even fewer have visited. The fact that the developers have persevered over several years to put together the most complete representation of Antarctica anywhere has to be something they can be proud of. This scenery suits pilots that are happy flying bush planes, helicopters C130s and at a push A319s. If airline big tin is your thing, then there will probably be little for you to do. …

Gene Davis an Avsim reviewer has completed a review of "Take on Helicopters". His closing lines were, "As I come to close this review I can't tell you how excited I was the first time I booted it up and played it. It far exceeded my expectations and threw any doubts I had about it away. The folks over at Take On Helicopters at Take On The Game.com offer a downloadable demo so you can give it a try if you are at all apprehensive about it. Again, my biggest preconceived fear was performance. However, it far exceeded those expectations when I witnessed how beautiful the game was and how well it ran on my system. I know this review only covers the tip of the iceberg when …

Hello Folks, Below is an article form a German Newspaper about X-Plane 10. The article is translated below. You won´t learn to fly in a day and certainly not how to control Aerosoft´s monster of complexity “X-Plane 10”, even though the Quickstart guide proclaims “Getting Airborne in 5 minutes”. But those who are willing to invest patience and dive into to the depths of this mammoth Simulator which is relying on 8 DVD´s will be rewarded with probably the most realistic flight experience available for your home PC. The enormous data package of 80GB holds more than 30 aircraft, a complex weather and physics system as well as a not really lovingly detailed refle…

Great review! It concludes with: "Die Bronco muss man mögen.

Tony Farmer has posted a review of X-Plane 10 over at Technologetic. His bottom line was, "X-Plane 10, despite a few hitches, I view as a marvel of consumer software engineering. There are many moments in X-Plane 10 where if you were to stop and take a screenshot, you would not know if it’s real or not. Flight Simulator X always took the most sales because of it’s visual realism, although lacked scientific, simulatory value. X-Plane 10 now wins in both the power and the sex – to quote the late Steve Jobs." Then went on to give it 4.5 Stars. You can read the full review here.

Classic Aircraft will publish a review of the Bronco month. You can find the magazine at http://www.aircraftmagazine.co.uk/ I also added the images that our latest best friend Howard made for the review. Title: Aerosoft Bronco X Published by: Aerosoft (http://www.aerosoft.com/) Reviewed by: Howard J Curtis System requirements: FSX/Prepar3D Price: 29.95 Euros (download); 29.99 Euros (boxed) Rating: 5 stars out of 5 At this stage of its life cycle, it might be possible to think that all significant aircraft types and all possible modifications have been done for Flight Simulator X. With potential successors on the horizon, it might also be concluded that acqu…

Daniel Martinez an Avsim staff reviewer has completed a review of Aerosoft's Antarctica X, he spent around 40 hours checking the scenery out. His closing remarks were, "I was really excited to see this project come to fruition and I was not disappointed in its execution. The continent is beautifully rendered in every facet. The VFR flying experience is challenging and very different from other available options. The Antarctic continent is a very remote, distant land and even though the scenery does not change much, this package offers so much for the flight simulator enthusiast. The limitations imposed by FSX are dealt with in a reasonable manner and do not detract …

Rick Desjardins from Simflight has finished a review on German Airports 2 2012 X. His final thoughts on the package was, "One of the best parts about this package is that you get five detailed and unique airports at an exceptional price. If you were to purchase them individually you would be paying 83.75 so the package price of 33.57 is a savings of over 50%. The savings alone are a great incentive to seriously consider this package. However I like it for much more than that. The graphics are very nice, the locations are realistically recreated and they all make for interesting locations to fly in and out of. All in all this is one great package that I highly recommend…

GearDownFS Staff Reviewer Kevin Burns has written a review of Anchorage X. A part of his summary went, "Anchorage X is very well done scenery. The ground textures are fantastic, with the season specificities setting apart this from other sceneries. Winter is a particularly well done season. The 3D modeling is up to par with the best of today. All the buildings look proportional and well-constructed. The overall size of the scenery is immense as well. Lake Hood Seaplane Base and the general aviation strip at PANC are included as well. The night lighting is entirely believable. I do have a few gripes though. Performance isn’t the best (when compared with other sceneries …

Andrey Kuznetsov our Russian Forum Moderator has written a review of Anchorage X in the Russian Forum. The full review is downloadable as a PDF file and can be found on the forum post here. "Ребята из Sim-wings в очередной раз доказали свой профессионализм и умение находить золотую середину даже в самых непростых ситуациях. Anchorage X продолжает традиции сбалансированных сценариев Балеарских островов, аэропорта Гибралтара, мега-аэропортов Барселоны и Мадрида. Он будет интересен как для любителей рейсовых “автобусов” и “грузовиков” из Азии и России, так и для любителей малой авиации из северных регионов FTX NA и FTX US. Поддерживая приемлемый уровень производительно…

Gene Davis a senior staff reviewer has not long finished a review of World of Subways Volume 3 "London Underground the Circle Line" at Avsim.com His Final thoughts were, "I like this simulation as it is one of the most comprehensive subway simulations yet released from Aerosoft. Its graphics are simply phenomenal and the control and feel from inside the cab gives the user a true to life feel of what it would be like to be at the helm of one of these trains. If you are curious or just enjoy any kind of train simulating then this product will be for you. While it doesn’t offer the wide open world of rail that Train Simulator 2012 does, it does offer a detailed trip down …

Drew Sikora AVSIM Staff Reviewer has recently finished a review on Rotterdam X. His closing remarks were, "Despite several minor issues, this is a solid scenery addition worthy of inclusion in the library of anyone flying around Europe or looking for a reason to do so. Not only do you have the immediate airport environment to enjoy upon arrival or departure, but there is some exploring to be done in the surrounding area - even the default Rotterdam city scenery from Microsoft has several landmark buildings, a stadium and a docked cruise ship. It would be nice to see an update to improve some of the airport operations issues which is where I felt the scenery was we…

Bastian Blinten has not long finished a review for Flightsim.com of Aerosofts Balearic Islands X For FS2004. His conclusion was, "Aerosoft offers a large scenery for a reasonable price. The airports alone are well worth the money though I remain slightly disappointed with the textures on the rest of the island. My mark for the FS2004 version is good although it is helpful to use a faster PC. If you expect a real wow-feeling you will only get it with the FSX version and a fast computer."
