ASN reviewed Mega Airport Dublin. They conclude: "That being said, I would still have to say, overall, this airport is very much worth the price and if the developer continues to update and improve the deficiencies, it has a chance to be truly one of the greats. In its current form, it's a good add-on which just needs a little more work to really shine. If some of these issues are addressed, it most certainly will. Out of a possible score of 5, I'm giving this airport a solid 4. " Read the review here and see the product page here.

Aerosoft Sim News staff reviewer Gene Davis ended his review with "Though the Alabeo C195 may only be in a Flight Simulator X and Prepar3D, it still managed to capture that feeling I had that day back in Yakima when I first saw the real 195." That's what we call a compliment! Gene continues "Yes! I like the Cessna 195 Business Liner from Alabeo and I had a hard time finding anything that I didn’t like about it." And "The aircraft grabs you and takes you back to an era of flight that is long gone now." Overall a worthy and comprehensive review. Check it out at ASN.

With a score of 9.8 out of 10 (and a Gold Award), Mutleys Hangar reviewed Thessaloniki X. And boy do they like it! "Well, with Aerosoft Thessaloniki X you will find yourself completely immersed in an area of outstanding beauty and attention to detail. From the not so lowly trees and shrubs to the overwhelming amount of bespoke buildings, sports stadiums, ancient ruins, roadways, parks, and much more. With the mix of a wonderfully detailed airport and the surrounding city and urban/rural areas, ports and recreational areas, you can not help but feel you are there for real. The development team have completely mastered this airport in a way which no one else has done. With…

We love awards, we love even more getting them. And now we got two, yeah for us! The readers of Mutleys Hangar have voted the Twin Otter the best General Aviation product of 2013 and Mega Airport Oslo v2 the best International Airport. We really appreciate this because Mutleys Hangar is really one of the finest sites on the net. The quality of reviews there is hard to beat and Joe, who runs the place, got a fine crew of reviewers and contributors.

When ASN reviewer Angelique van Campen says Saitek, she probalby means today the brand new Saitek X-55 Rhino H.O.T.A.S. With that in mind, she tries to find out "almost" everything of the newly released Saitek X-55 Rhino. According to Angelique "What else can I say about the X-55? I'm impressed by the overall design, which has a little bit of the X-52 Pro and the X-65F", and I'm pleased with, for example, the option to change by your own the tension/artificial feel springs." Therefore, I invite you to read her comprehensive review of the Saitek X-55 Rhino HOTAS at ASN.

I had to translate this review from Czech but I know the writer likes Global Air Traffic Control because he concludes: "GATC impressed me. It's a simple but comprehensive simulation, which thanks to a database of all the world's airports will not get old after a few days. On the forum you can see that the makers are responding to the wishes of users and the program still trying to improve. Price € 25 fully meets its quality. If you are thinking about buying, you can also help demo limited to one airport and 20 minutes." Read the review here.

A brilliant review at simflight.com if Thessaloniki X. The conclusion: "If you are any kind of flight sim enthusiast you will definitely, without a doubt want to purchase this product. It is easy to see that the developers were very passionate about what they were creating; it shows in the quality of the finished product. I absolutely loved everything about Thessaloniki X and if I could give a product a gold star I would definitely award it to this product.". Read the review here.

German, but it has great pictures if you do not speak that lingo. The conclusion is very positive: "Thessaloniki X bietet spektakuläre An- und Abflüge dank der sehr weitläufig gestalteten Umgebung des Flughafens.

FS Pilot Magazine issue 9 as been released with some very thoruoghly reviews of freeware and payware aircraft and scenery addons. Among the reviews is one for the Aerosoft Twin Otter Extended. Quotes: "Regarding the modelling of each variant, the build standard is outstanding along with the level of detailing...." "The bump mapping of the dome headed rivets on the exterior of the fuselage is amongst the finest we have seen..." "....the very well defined interior panelling of both the cockpit / cabin gives an excellent reproduction of the Twin Otter’s interior." "The aircraft in all variants is very nice to fly and will be great for anyone that likes t…

The Staggerwing D-17, that’s something for staff reviewer Angelique van Campen. She checks the Staggerwing on the inside, outside, and during one of her unusual flight attitudes. According to Angelique “The Alabeo Staggerwing is an easy aircraft to fly, an awesome 3D model with a nice and realistic cockpit. And yes, the cockpit looks quite simple, but it looks the same as the real Staggerwing, so there’s nothing wrong with that.” But she also thinks that “Every Alabeo and Carenado aircraft are always filled detail and it seems nothing has been forgotten. I’m always impressed by what Carenado and Alabeo can create, and they’ve done it with this Staggerwing.” Want to know…

It remains one of our favorite airports London City X. Just makes fun to land an aircraft in a dense city with a steep ILS. Bill also likes it as he comments: "Aerosoft has rendered this small, ingeniously designed, and unusual airport accurately. All buildings, equipment, pavement markings, signs, and other features are correct compared with the real-world photos I found on the Internet. While using large, busy airports such as Heathrow, Amsterdam, and Atlanta is alway exciting, taking off and landing airliners on this short runway in accordance with strict noise-abatement procedures present simulation challenges not found elsewhere." A fine review at flightsim.com on Skiathos X. The reviewer concludes: "My conclusion for this add-on scenery by AeroSoft is that I certainly would recommend fellow simmers to try out this scenery. The quality of the scenery is high and the experience I got using the scenery was very realistic. AeroSoft has captured the uniqueness that surrounds this island, and even though I have never visited this island in real life, it seemed very realistic to me. The atmosphere was superb and the scenery is filled with detail after detail." Read the review here.

Another extensive review of the Twin Otter Extended over at flightsim.com. It concludes: "Inside and outside appearances are outstanding, especially the clear instruments. Documents provide sufficient explanation for using the product and simulating the aircraft. Sounds are realistic. Animations are nice, especially the engine fire. There's a lot more to this product than appears on the surface!". Check it out here.

An extensive review of the Lugano X at Mutley. A very positive conclusion: "I found Airport Lugano X to be a very nice rendition of a small regional airport in a stunning setting. The quality of the models and ground textures are good, as are the night lights. The setting in a deep valley also makes it a difficult place to fly to if you do it by the book. I shall certainly revisit Lugano in the future and I hope you will join me". Check out the review here. We even got the Silver Award!
