About This File

Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant Template for the Zibo Mod 737. Import it via the Honeycomb Configurator (you need the latest version 2.1.0) or use the local load function.

Not all buttons are mapped due to X-Plane providing a high level of flexibility within the GUI for assigning buttons and switches. Only those that aren't exposed or required conditions for more precise operation are mapped.

Please note this document was originally created by the Aerosoft team and I have simply 'borrowed' it to keep the level of information about this profile consistent with their approach.

I've created a couple of different types of button overlays. The second version is a @Hilversum4 design, to make it one piece and a bit more sturdy.

I changed the  Gear lever function to:

laminar/B738/switches/landing_gear

and switch between value 0 = gearUp

and 2 = GearDown

Can anyone please upload the Default_Throttle profile. I override mine by mistake and not sure how to restore it to factory default version.

Getting a "This profile contains "sim/engines/thrust_reeverse_hold_2" with value "1" which does not seem to be a writable variable for this aircraft. It will be discarded." message whenever I load this profile. How do i fix this?

Hi!. Just remove this variable in the honeycomb profile, and assign this inside x-plane instead.

Hi @Alexander Sternhill,

I don't get the error message but mine is no longer working either. I've have approached it a different way in the profile as things seemed to have changed since I first created this.

You can do as Freddy says, but I've noticed the behaviour for the Thrust Reverse Hold setting now works as expected. (It didn't at the time I created this profile.) Meaning, when you engage the reverse thrusters they leap to maximum straight away. It's down to personal preference, but I prefer to raise the reversers which sets them to idle reverse and then push the thrust levers forward to vary the amount of reverse thrust.

With that in mind, I've now used toggle in the profile, which works better than just assigning it in the sim, as I have put some logic in place to stop it from toggling the wrong way. i.e. if it misses the button press, (which sometimes happens) then it won't suddenly start working backwards and disengaging them when they're supposed to be engaged and vice versa.

Anyway, try the new profile and see if this works better for you.

Thanks,

Hi @737fancar,

It's odd how it's reversed for a few people. Have you tried switching them around? Get notepad open and copy the contents of what is in Gear Up and Gear Down and move them to the opposite one?

Thanks.

I have downloaded the profile for the Zibo from here, and imported it from the Honeycomb configurator.

In the configurator I have activated the profile, started the simulator, selected the Zibo at an airport, assigned it in X-Plane the loaded profile but nothing works.

I also did it by first placing the Zibo at an airport, then I activated the profile in the configurator, finally I went to the Plugins menu of X-Plane and at the top of the screen I clicked on "Reload Bindings", but it didn't work either.

In the X-Plane configuration screen I notice that in quite a few buttons and levers where "Do Nothings" should be selected there are actions selected.

I'm probably doing something wrong when assigning the profile in the X-Plane menu, but I don't know what it is.

I have been trying to use the profile for several days with no result and I am frustrated.

Please could someone who has installed the Zibo plugin and it is working for them tell me the steps they followed?

Thank you very much in advance for your help.

@highflyer525 Thanks for your profile it saved me a lot of time! is there a chance you can share the original for the PDFs? I'm doing the profile for FF A320 for X-Plane with leds and buttons and would love to share it but using your PDFs too, as I found them really useful, they should be standard with all profiles!

Hi @Marcelo Bartsch,

Yes, no problem. Will send you them when I’m back in the house in about an hour.

Cheers,

Thank you for this :)

If you're interested I have managed to properly configure the Reverse Thrust levers for pull up to toggle the Reverse Levers, and then increase the Reverse Thrust with the Main Levers. I have also included a condition to ensure the Throttles are idle...

I have shown here Lever 1 - obviously Lever 2 is the same

Lever 1 Commercial Reverser / GA GoAround

Press Event

Condition:

Custom Name: laminar/B738/axis/throttle1

Value: =0

Variable:

Name: laminar/B738/flt_ctrls/reverse_lever1

Value: 0.0600001

Release Event

Variable:

Custom Name: laminar/B738/flt_ctrls/reverse_lever1

Value: 0

The TOGGLE value is actually 0.06, but for whatever ever reason setting the value 0.06 does not do anything, but 0.0600001 works perfectly. The DataRef value in XP translates this value to 0.06 :)

Hello, really great config you created, but when I tried to do my own mappings, I can't find any laminar/B738 variable in the honeycomb-configurator application. I found the root file, but I'm not sure what to do with it. How did you get them?

Hi @Gamergotgames,

If you look in the root folder of the Zibo aircraft you’ll find B738_commands.txt and B738_Datarefs.txt.

All the commands are in there and you can enter them in using custom.

You can also hover them in the X-Plane joystick assignment screen and it will show you the datarefs in the tooltip that appears.

Hope this help,

Do I put the commands in index in custom?

It also seems that I can't use reverse thrust or the trim wheel, they do not take my inputs.

The reversers are not working correctly. The engines are reversing, but when the levelers are released, they stay in reverse state. Can you please advise what setting needs to be changed?

Hello

thank you very very much for this. I tried so hard to get the reversers going - now your profile fixed it for me.

Only thing not working is if I want to control the V/S dial. It is not moving if I set the left knob to VS. Any ideas?

Hello,

some time ago - but I had the same issue.Figured out that the wrong command was used for the release event: it was set to holding max reverse, instead of the toggle command.
