This repaint represents an A-10A from the 52nd FW/81st FS based at Spangdahlem AB in Germany. During the 1980's the A-10 was common sight around my home in Suffolk in the UK, however with the closure of Bentwaters and Alconbury and subsequent de-activation of the 81st and 10th Tactical Fighter Wings, the 81st FS is the only A-10 unit now residing in Europe.

This aircraft was seen at RAF Lakenheath as part of Exercise "Vanguard" 7th-29th April 2005, where the A-10's returned to the UK to beat up the gunnery ranges at Donna Nook, Holbeach and Wainfleet.

Please note this is my first repaint attempt and did it because it seemed no-one else was going to, so please except it for what it is!

Unzip this file to a temporary folder. Move the folder named texture.SP_976 into your Aerosoft A-10 folder. Copy and paste the following text into the Aircraft config file replacing the "xx" with the next available number in your aircraft listing.
