Repaint of Aerosoft PBY
PBY-5A
Repaint by Tom Stovall for the Aerosoft PBY PBY-5A, using the Aerosoft PBY paint kit developed by the Aerosoft team. You must have purchased the Aerosoft PBY to use these textures. This PBY was number 05045 of Commander Air South Pacific. This aircraft belonged to Admiral John S. McCain and was flown by Lt. W.S. Sampson August 12, 1942 to Henderson Field, Guadacanal. This was the first aircraft to land at Henderson. The Marines had almost taken the runway when the Catalina arrived with much needed ammunition and supplies. Next morning, early she took off with two wounded Marines. This aircraft deserves a place of honor.
Installation:

description= "The Consolidated PBY Catalina was an American flying boat designed and produced by Consolidated Aircraft in the 1930s and 1940s.\n\n It served with all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces and with air forces and navies of many other countries.\n\n It is also known as the OA-10 (U.S. Air Force) and Cansos (Canadian build models).\n\nThis aircraft flew night patrols to sneak up on submarines and damage them with depth charges before it could dive."
