Carenado PA32R Saratoga updated for XP10

03 Mai 2013 - 18:30

Hello Heinz,

The .org says that the Carenado Saratoga is updated for XP10 and 64 bit.

I got my copy here at Aerosoft.

How can I get the update?

Startup situation file Robin (in case of engine start problem)

23 Februar 2013 - 14:13

Attached are situation files that I created especially for users who have trouble to start the engine of the Robin.
For FSX: Please copy the 3 files from the Zip-file into your "My Documents/Flight Simulator X Files" folder.
For P3D: Please copy the 2 files from the Zip-file into your "My Documents/Prepar3D Files".

To startup the engine follow the checklist in the aircraft, and do not forget to prime the engine by pumping the throttle 3-5 times!

Enjoy!

Trouble starting the engine

19 Februar 2013 - 23:53

I must do something wrong, but I cannot start the engine properly.
I have read the manual over and over, but to no avail.

Here is the problem:
When I load the Robin, immediately the engine shuts down.
I cannot start it, although I follow the checklist precisely (at least I think I do).
But when I press shift-E instead the engine starts.
Once running, if I shut down the engine (by pulling mixture or turning magnetos off) I cannot restart it by pressing the start button.

I follow these steps from the manual:

BEFORE ENGINE START

5. Master switch on
6. Trim neutral
7. Mixture full rich (pushed)
8. Carburettor heat off (pushed)
9. Fuel selector open

ENGINE START
1. Electrical pump on
2. Generator on
3. Ignition to both
4. Start engine

The engine cranks, the propeller turns, the start light is on, the suction moves to 4, the RPM goes up, but after three seconds the starting stops and the propeller halts.

What can I be doing wrong or what can I forget to do?

Launcher for P3D and FSX, great freeware!

29 November 2012 - 11:55

Because Aerosoft supports it's products to work with P3D and there are many customers using P3D or trying it (often side-by-side like me), I want to point you to this great little freeware program.
It is called 'SimLauncher' and it lets you make a startup situation before launching P3D (or FSX).
You can set many things already upfront, it's amazing, and something we were all craving for since P3D does not have a start menu.

Here is a thread at Avsim where the developer Maarten Boelens is taking an active part:
http://forum.avsim.n...2-p3d-launcher/

You can download the launcher here:
http://library.avsim...php?DLID=172983

Please read the (installation) manual first, because before running the application you should install and run the makerwys.exe application by Pete Dowson in your simulator folder.

Kudos for Maarten Boelens!

FSMap and P3D

11 September 2012 - 21:00

I tried FSMap with P3D 1.4.
On my system FSMap is installed 'normally' for FSX.
The program connects immediately (and with no changes made) to P3D and shows all aircraft data and position, and AI. Very good.
The gauge also seems to work correctly, only the database (airports, navaids) seems to be missing (or is not connected to).

I am not sure where to look to solve this. Or is FSMap gauge just incompatible in this respect?
