A total of actually 10 airline call signs that are available with the download of the A 300 B4-200 are not named by ATC in radio comms (ATC mentions the flight number only, but not the airline name). They are Air France, Egypt Air Cargo, HeavyLift, Indian Airlines, IranAir, MNG, PanAm, PIA, Singapore Airlines and TNT. I've also downloaded the FedEx version and it's not recognized by ATC either. Even if all these airline names are available in the airline call sign drop down list under Aircraft Details, they are not named by ATC in radio comms. When any of these airline names is selected in the airline call sign drop down list, ATC mentions the flight number only. Why is that? Any solution or workaround? Thank you for your help.

Open the aircraft.cfg of the A300 and compare the airline code entries with an AI aircraft with working Callsigns.

Simply overwrite the Airline Codes of the A300 Liveries with the AI ones.

Hello Daniel, and thank you for your reply.

Unless I'm mistaken, I think that what you are suggesting is the same as if I were choosing a working AI aircraft callsign from the dropdown list in Aircraft Details (for instance, selecting Soar or World Travel, or for that matter, any airline call sign under there that works). I have tried that already and it effectively works. However, you end up with ATC calling the selected airline, not the one you're actually flying.

For instance, I'm kind of partial to FedEx, so I downloaded the FedEx repaint. Well, the FedEx name has become available in the dropdown list of available airline names, and even though I select it, it's not recognized by ATC within FS. ATC just mentions the flight number. If I select for instance Sobelair (which is recognized), ATC will respond with ''Sobelair ---'' when what I want to hear is ''FedEx --''.

And there is yet more (which I forgot to mention in my original post above): a few airline names that are automatically available with the original download of the A300 B4-200 (i.e. Alitalia) do not even show up in the airline name dropdown list under aircraft details, even though the airline is available for selection.

Any other sugegstion, Daniel?

Thanks for your help.

I remember seeing a tool which can add all the Airline Callsigns to your FSX ATC. I don't really remember the name though. Just have a look with google, maybe you'll find it.

No, first of all some questions:

Do you have AI Traffic like WOAI?

Do have installed editvoicepack (mentioned by EMI) <- If not, DO THIS! (Will not fix your Problem, but is essential)

Hello Daniel and Emanuel,

Gentlemen, following your lead, I googled EditVoicePack and read up on it. As it turns out, you can have as many airline names as you want in the Airline.cfg file in the root directory (which, as you probably know, are reproduced in the dropdown list of airline call signs in Aircraft Details), but it doesn't necessary mean that FSX will recognize all of them. The airline names also have to be in a file called USEnglishBig.gvp (found in Microsoft Flight Simulator X --> Sound --> ATC) so that FSX will be able to ''say'' the airline name.

Well, guess what? I installed EditVoicePack and with it managed to update USEnglishBig.gvp (actually modified it and added a couple of other files in the ATC directory) with, it seems, a whole new bunch of new airline names. I then opened FSX and tested a few of the airlines names mentioned in my first post that were not ''spoken'' previously and they all worked!

Problem solved!!!

Gentlemen, I could not have resolved this without your help. I extend my gratitude to you both.
