Speeds callout before time

Anyone noticed that speed callouts are being reproduced 2-3 knts before time?

In previous versions it was certain, always on the time, and in latest version it's 2-3 knts before time.

It's minor issue, I already watched some videos on youtube and same happens.

Something it's not reading correcly the speed values.

Thanks.

This is done in the real world as well. The reason is simple. V1 means that this is the exact point after which a stopping is not allowed anymore. Speaking v1 takes some time, as well as the reaction time, so by the time you have said it and possibly decide to reject at the last possible second you are actually already past v1. That's why you usually anounce v1 etc. a couple of knots ahead of the actual value.

That's correct! There is e. g. a recommendation by the FAA of a policy of “completing the V1 callout by the time the airplane reaches V1". So considering that it takes a quarter of a second for a syllable being spoken, the v1 callout has to be started half a second before v1 is actually reached. You'll find more info about this subject here https://www.faa.gov/other_visit/aviation_industry/airline_operators/training/media/takeoff_safety.pdf

 Cheers, Wolfgang
