Recommended Posts

Good day Sirs

I am having the same problem as JayKay 14th April (already closed)

I have noted your reply to him re fonts and checked my C:windows/fonts and find that I have as follows

airbusDisp Regular

Disp2 Regular

FCU Normal

ISIS Regular

MCDUa Normal

MCDUb Regular

PFD Regular

PFD2 Regular

I have tried to download the zip file in your replies to JayKay but I am getting a "cannot find link" reply from my server.

Can you let me have a link in order to fix my readability problem.

Thanks

Mike

Hi Tom,

Sorry, cant figure out how to drag/copy the link.

The topic I am referring too is under the following post--

MCDU (Right side )

currently on page three

item No 9

headed Right Side MCDU readability

started by JayKay on 14th April.

as there was no further comment from JayKay you closed the post.

You gave him a list of what the airbus fonts in windows should look like and also a link for him to download a zip file. this link no longer works.

My C/W/fonts are as shown in my original post so I need to change them to your recommended fonts so I can read the right hand MCDU.

Thanks

Mike

Proceed as follows:

  1. unzip the content of the zipfile to a temporary folder of your choice.
  2. right click on each font and choose "Install"
  3. If you are asked to replace an existing font, do so
  4. after you have installed all fonts reboot your PC

Hi Otto

many thanks for you reply and the zip file link.

I have done as per your instructions but the R/H MCDU is still unreadable.

I have uninstalled the complete aerosoft airbus and reinstalled the latest version 1.30.

After installation I checked my C/WINDOWS/FONTS file and find the airbus fonts, which version 1.30 installed, are as detailed in my original post.

I have opened your zip file and installed as you suggest ( there is no MCDUb in the zip file). After rebooting it is still not possible to read the R/H MCDU.

The screenshot which JayKay sent you in his April post  http://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/94103-right-side-mcdu-readability is exactly how my screen looks like. Post 5 in this link, from Rolf?, indicates that all fonts should be " Standard" but non of the fonts in your zip file or in my C/WINDOWS/FONTS are shown as "standard"

Please advise your suggestions now to make the R/H MCDU readable.

Thank you

Mike

Hi,

is the high resolution VC option in the FSX settings enabled?
Which value is your Textures_Max_Load in the FSX.cfg file? It should be at 1024 or greater.
