Aerosoft Aerosoft Team [Inactive Account] 51558 Posted August 20, 2015 Aerosoft Share Posted August 20, 2015 Gents, a while ago I came into contact with Ralph van Raat, a great guy who flies Flightsimulation using a piano. Yes that sounds strange, but it's bloody amazing. He performs with this regular and got very good reviews from major newspapers. He will soon perform in Amsterdam and I recommend you check it out.In The Piano and the Flightsimulator, award-winning concert pianist Ralph van Raat, who also holds his pilot license, operates a flight simulator through playing the piano. The public watches the simulator together with its pianist-pilot. As Ralph looks around him, images are projected on three large screens that let the audience see not only the inside of the plane, but also the airspace in which he is flying. The sounds from the piano, Ralph's conversations with ground control, and the sounds produced by the simulated aircraft are all part of a composition by Florian Magnus Maier in which all actions needed to keep the plane in the air have been translated into musical motives. The advanced technology of this interactive production is in the adept hands of music technologist Thomas Rutgers. A sensational show from production house Intro In Situ, there have been nine sold out performances to date. Audiences were launched into the clouds. A concert for those of all ages who love music, aviation or both!http://www.thepianoandtheflightsimulator.com/ Please login to display this image. JubeMason 65
I'd love to see that! I'm an organist but same pretty much the same thing as the piano. Oh FYI all my organ buddies are addicted to flightsim! I don't know why
