Piper Cheyenne crash issue.

Recommended Posts

Since FSX:SE came out, I have slowly been moving all my software from FSX to FSX:SE. I had both the Aerosoft DHC-6 and the Piper Cheyenne. When I moved the DHC-6 over to FSX:SE there was no trouble with the software with the aircraft running fine. I then assumed that the Piper Cheyenne would work just like the DHC-6.

After transferring the cheyenne to FSX:SE, the aircraft appeared in my aircraft folder and everything looked ok. Even when moving from the aircraft select page to the free flight page, the aircraft loaded fine, all good. As soon as i clicked "fly now", the game went black scene with the surround blue border showing the page wasn't full scene like it normally is and my mouse curser changes to the loading icon, with nothing loading in the back groung (not normal).

After around 2 minutes of this, the game reads that FSX has crashed and needes to close. Looking for similar issues I followed the solution to install the 'microsoft visual C + + 2005 Redistributable (x86)'. Still no joy.

I am running FSX:SE on a HP windows 8 (x64) if you have any suggestions catered specifically towards Windows 8.
