Synching Navigation Data Between Airbus and P3D

Hello,

I noticed that there are sometimes differences between the navigation data the MCDU uses and the data of P3D 2.5, e. g. different ILS frequency and runway headings.

For the airport Munich (EDDM) P3D shows these ILS frequencies in the map window:

Runway Length Surface ILS ID ILS Freq ILS Hdg
8R 13097 Concrete IMSE 110.900 082
26L 13097 Concrete IMSW 108.300 262
8L 13097 Concrete IMNE 110.300 082
26R 13097 Concrete IMNW 108.700 262

But in the MCDU uses following frequencies and runway headings:

8R: ILS 109.3, HDG 81

8L: ILS 109.5, HDG 81

(For runways 26R und 26L it's the same as from P3D.)

Obviously that is very bad if the ILS is wrong as the approach just won't work (it won't catch the glidescope). It took me a while till I found out the wrong ILS frequency was to problem. ;-)

Do I need to synch this navigation data somehow between P3D and the data provided by Airbus?

Best regards and thanks in advance for any tips on that

Andreas

Hi Andreas,

in P3D the nav data is hard coded within the scenery .bgl files. The Airbus uses the nav data from either the installed NavDataPro or Navigraph AIRAC.

As the latter one is constantly updated (according to real world changes), but your sim (i.e. the scenery files) is not, you sooner or later end up in inconsistencies.

But fortunately there is a solution in form of a free scenery nav data update for the latest AIRAC:

Hello Tom,

that's great, thanks a lot for your quick reply! :-)

I already thought that there is a simple solution for that and definitely searched the web before asking here - but obviously not thoroughly enough. ;-)

Anyway, now all data fits together - thanks again for your quick support

Andreas
