Hi Guys,

first, thanks for the new Scenery, i noticed that we had no sloped runways as in real, which is a shame.

But one issues are found together whit GSX, the vehicles sink into the terrain (see picture)

The reason for not having sloped runway is that AI traffic wouldn't work and most users prefer to have AI traffic.

No idea reagrding your GSX problem as I do not use it. maybe you ask the GSX developer for a solution

did the "Aerosoft Beta Team" or the developer not tested the scenery with Addons like GSX etc? oh come on, bad anwer from you to contact the GSX support team, because on all other Addons, also on Aerosoft Sceneries, GSX works fine

The problem of GSX is based on the situation, that GSX don't support the "Platform feature", needed here to make an airport such near to the coastline and with heavy level differences in the sourrounding of the terrain. Therefore the complete airport need to build as 3D Model using the plattform SDK feature to keep the aircrafts above. To prevent "flickering" textures, the base terrain of the FS needs to be reduced below this Model. When now object/vehicles don't follow the plattform (like the GSX vehicles) or don't work with the fix altitude of the airport, they only follow the base terrain and "fall down".

No way to fix it by the scenery without unwanted sideeffects at all.

Does AES exhibit the same problems as GSX?

Unfortunately I cannot answer this question as I did not buy this scenery.

But I am quite sure someone else will be able to answer your question soon.

Thanks Rafal. With it being a new release I thought it might not be immediately available. Does AES exhibit the same problems as GSX?

Haven't tested it but my guess is that this works since Oliver made this available way before the airport was released and my guess is that a developer doesn't add an airport to a list if it doesn't work the way it should :)

I guess you mean FTX Global. I have installed FTX Global, FTX Vector and openLC EU and do not see any problem.

Airport Design Editor can tell you what files are the Stock ones that is used by the simulator. and seems to be what he did but cant say I just know that tool can give you a indication of what files contain a given airport, just keep in mind sometimes more than 1 airport is in the same file of the sock data and why we dont just say we switch it of by default as part of instalation as that might be the best option as why use more than 1 file for the same airport, but MS did not do it that simple for us. so keep that in mind the stock file might contain other airport or navaids in the area and might disserpear..
