Helix1250 0
Just a quick question to see if PFPX is compatible with FSX-SE, currently running FSC which isn't and looking for an alternative
Emi 5161
mmh, what exactly do you want to be compatible? PFPX is an external application that also runs without any flight simulator, so I don't see what could cause problems here.j
Helix1250 0
Hi Emi, Sadly FSC will not save files for PDMG and always gives an error when trying to save a FSX flight plan. It keeps saying your have to specify the save folder manually. Very annoying! Volker who has helping with my questions has said FSC is only comparable with FSX, P3d and fs2004. He has sent me a work around which is at my own risk, and isn't supported by him. Here's the link to the post if your interested http://forum.simflight.com/topic/60933-saving-pmdg-flight-plans/ Regards Rob
Deputy Sheriffs Tom A320 4915 Posted May 26, 2015 Deputy Sheriffs Share Posted May 26, 2015 In PFPX you can modify all export folders as you need them, if the default ones doesn't match. Exporting plans and importing them afterwards into the sim just works just like a charm.
egntpilot 0
Hi Rob, is your FSX steam install standalone or side by side with classic FSX? I've got FSC installed in FSX steam standalone and it exports to both FSX ,pln files and PMDG .rte files I've also got PFPX which also works with no issues. (I mainly use FSC for checking SIDS/Stars and transitions and also for exporting a route to radar contact so sids/stars can be used with it) Hope this helps Steve
Helix1250 0
Hi Steve, I have a standalone install of Steam, I can export most plans. But forget pdmg! It's never saved them. I just want a planner that does what it's meant to, and not have me faffing about all day trying to work out why it won't work. Emi 5161
I just want a planner that does what it's meant to, and not have me faffing about all day trying to work out why it won't work. Then PFPX is definatly the planner you want. You set the export folders once according to your system and then it saves them and you don't need to care about them again. bbarreiros 3
PFPX is the tool you want definetely. I ran FSX SE and PFPX with no issues and export feature works perfectly.
