A320/A321 Nav issue

Hi All, Tried to take my A320 on a trip from SOLA (ENZV) to EGLL. I was given the RUMDG1H SID. I can't find this in the MCDU at all. I am running Navigraph and have 1505 cycle installed and verified on MCDU. I checked using the PMDG737 & Qualitywing 757 and they have it listed. what am I missing? And I have paged up/down to see the full list...

Can you give some more info please on the runway and the waypoint it gets you to, if you know it? I cant find it either. Are you sure the name is correct? I can see some RUMOxx SIDs, but not a RUMDGxx.

Are you sure these are still in use or are they in use for civil aviation? Could it be a SID for helicopters? Could they have been renamed and these are leftovers? I can't find it in the airport's charts or in the official Norwegian IVAO IFR list which is here http://ivao.no/downloads/enzv.pdf . I also can't find the other RUMO SIDs I mentioned. Maybe they have become deprecated recently or are very new which is more likely.

Where did you get the SID from if I may ask?

There is indeed a RUMOG 1H SID for rwy 36 departures according latest Jeppesen charts. It is a RNAV SID from 31st of October 2014.

Ive not checked inside my FSX yet.

Sorry it RUMOG1G and not RUMDG1G. My error, still problem the same. There should be 3 RUMOG SIDS, 1G (36 & 18), 1F (R29) & 1E (R11). I can't see any

The SID was given by the Vatsim controller for a Runway 36 Departure, The SID is listed in the Navipgaph cloud database, basically, Runway heading to GUDPI (Which the airbus says is not in the database) then 90degree turn to next waypoint ZN520 followed by second 90degree turn at ZN522 then direct to RUMOG

Hi d22low,

the bus takes all his navigation data from the navigation files either provided by NavDataPro or Navigraph. I can't check within my P3D at the moment, but as PFPX have it listed I am sure the bus have it as well.

Please check, that you have configured Navigraph as data provider for the bus correctly. Just to exclude that the bus accidentally is still on an older NavDataPro version.

I see, the maps I found were older and it was not in there. Mate, I can clearly find a RUMO1H, but not a RUMOG1H Departure procedure; the waypoint it leads to is RUMOG however. But the whole procedure is called RUMO1H, at least in the Navdata database. I can't find a RUMOG1H departure procedure in any of my products like FSBuild and EFB, but I can definitely find RUMO1H for rwy 36, which seems to be the same. It's a left turn off rwy 36 which leads you straight South through GUDPI, ZV520 and ZV522. This happens generally, probably to keep the format the same for all procedures and in the procedure's name the 5th letter of the waypoint is omitted. I don't know if this happens in reality too, maybe someone can enlighten us.

I've checked inside my FSX SE and the procedure is there for rwy 36 departures.

I also flew it to be sure it's all ok and it's exactly as published in Jepessen charts. Btw I use Navigraph latest cycle 1505.

RUMO1H and RUMOG1H is the same! The name is just getting truncated in the bus.

Yeah it struck me weird I've never seen a 5 letter departure procedure on the bus, but apparently this also happens with other addons too. At least all of my addons seem to be using a 4 letter format. As a result I was always under the impression that the format is 4 letters. Apparently some addons use the full 5 letters of the exit point.

It's normal that the name of the procedure is cut down. Don't ask me why, but for some reason this is done in most planes (in the real world, too), including those from other manufacturers.

Yup. Absolutely. And especially in the RW. See for example on Jeppesen charts, just as an example. When a SID is "ABCDe nX", its truncated form (that is the one we can use on FMSs) is indicated between square brackets and becomes "ABCDnX", by cutting the 5th letter (of the exit fix) and the blank space. I'm very familiar to SIDs in LICC like "PEKOD 5A" which becomes PEKO5A
